@@heatherforbus2740 are you going to do a scoreboard? SidelineHD or the overlays one. If you’re trying Multicam there is some helpful info in those. If you’re just getting your streaming kit together the 2021 baseball streaming might be good.

Jason thanks so much for the Mevo tutorials they are great. In your opinion for streaming softball at many different locations (fields) which is best? Mevo plus or Mevo start? I'm looking to buy one this week.
I actually prefer the start for baseball. It allows a little better zoom. One downside for the zoom I have noticed is streaming speed. I can’t document it but my Plus never achieves as high an upload speed as my start. I’ve had both cameras at several venues this fall and abandoned the Plus because upload speed was suffering. Fire up the start and it does fine. May be just mine and is purely anecdotal but that’s my story.
No issues covering the entire baseball field ?
I said that exactly backwards! Plus for baseball because of zoom. Sorry! What I get for trying to answer and cook at the same time 😂
But I have used the Start for baseball on occasion and it will pick up both first and third at our home field.
@@JasonHoffmanYT thx so much i was in Houston for a showcase this past weekend & saw people using the plus but i saw the start online & had questions. Looks like the start is going to be the winner. Seems as if they're fazing out the plus in addition to it having a short battery life b4 the next charge

You can see quite a variety of mounting locations just from this year’s games so far. Unfortunately there is also a variety of quality because of cellular coverage at some fields.
Thanks for this video. What if you want only one zoom setting--and you want it to stay on this setting the entire video?
Then you set it and forget it. Just make sure auto-director is off first.
I streamed a game this past weekend and it was in overcast conditions. I thought the screen was very dark. When I get home I download the games to my computer where I can see it on a big screen and also where I can clip/trim certain plays. Well those were really dark too. Would you happen to have a suggestion of how to brighten that up?
Were the lights on at the field? Or was there plenty of light for playing but the camera struggled? I find when I have too much sky in the shot it will try to meter the picture to keep from washing out the bright spots at the expense of a dark looking field. Might try two things: Less sky and more field in the shot. And in the Image Adjustment settings tell the Mevo to set the Metering to Crop and Exposure Metering to Spot.
Is this something you have to do on the PC or can presets be done on the phone while connected to Mevo?
All done on device connected to Mevo.
Is there an app or other camera you know of that does static shot/presets if Mevo is slightly too expensive
I’ve looked at a workaround by using smartphones (in my imagination you just borrow a couple of them) and use an app like TopDirector or ManyCam. Neither will truly let you set do presets but you can run several smartphones to get the shots you want.
If you can’t borrow them it becomes at least as expensive as a Mevo tho.
Any idea why the static shot wont hold? It stays on one shot for about 10 seconds then goes back to the wide screen.
