yeah I agree this thing is really awesome and very compact and not complicated like streaming with the computer and setting up all the wires in the programs always takes around 20 minutes or so to set up this is definitely a good purchase 👍

I'm a pastor and worship leader at my church. Would love to have this sit back at our sound board (45 ft) away from the stage. Would like to be able to get sound from the board so as to not pick up others talking or singing off key! LOL. Does this react like the Mevo Plus? Auto settings where it goes back and forth to pre-sets and faces? Thanks great video
I can't seem to find any actual stream footage from anyone. It all seems to be recordings which is a completely different result.
Can you tell me what the latency is like.
I can't have delay between lips and audio with the type of streaming I do.
My DJI pocket 2 has zero latency but I am not too confident that will be the case with the Mevo.

Yes. You can even live stream to Facebook and CZcams simultaneously AND record!
I was thinking of using one of these at the arcade to stream some games to Twitch. How long does the battery ACTUALLY last whilst streaming at say 720p?
Check with Mevo customer service but you can possibly use it while plugged in.

David if I’m using my phone to work the camera can I still use my phone while it’s recording?
Not really. If you were to pick it up to check your email, for example, that's the camera you just picked up :-)
Another question: Can you use this to live stream through your laptop or tablet instead of your phone?
I don't think it works that way but check with Mevo for the final word.
Fr Burk - the Mevo app runs on any iOS device (iPhone, iPad), or an Android
How about recording or streaming a football or soccer game?? Is Mevo good for that??
It could serve that purpose, but it's going to be tedious to keep moving it to stick with the action!
We love this cam, but cant get the app to work on android. But it works fine on an ipad. Is that a common problem?
Should definitely work on Android, David. Check with the company, see if they can help out.
@@AskDaveTaylor Will do. Thanks for answering. One to watch for though. Two friends were with me. Same issue smartphone with android didn't work even with IP address, Iphone no problem.
Dave, I was hoping you'd "click" on the CZcams viewing. Instead of me having to view on my andriod; is it possible to view on CZcams? Thank you kindly for your response.
If you're asking whether the Mevo Start supports live streaming on CZcams, the answer is yes. If you're asking whether I have actually done live streaming here on CZcams the answer is "not yet". :-)
@@AskDaveTaylor Thanks, Dave👍👍👍 I just saw another video from Streaming Media and he's introducing a new one from Mevo called "Mevo's Smart NDI Camera. Yet, I can't seem to locate its purchase availability online. Is this like brand spanking new; or is he speaking about the Mevo START video?

Nice review, but to bad sky rocket the price to a $399.99 way before Summer as predicted, they are just taking advantage of this situation, where livestream will be a necessity, not to happy about that.
Or it might be that the cost of parts, shipping, manufacturing and software shot up too. Do you have actual data to show that the company is "taking advantage of the situation", Andrew?

Just a common sense, I believe.
I would agree with this except the same shutdown that resulted in shortages of many other goods(toilet paper and beef) may have resulted in a shortage of the source materials(because manufacturers couldn't create new materials) used to create the cameras thus driving up the cost of components(because components are now scarcer suppliers can increase costs). This is the beauty and detriment of capitalism with Supply and Demand constraints. From what I've seen even at $400 this is a bargain.
The image quality looks soft. There are definitely better options out there.
What have you tried that you think is better in the same price range, Andrew?
@@AskDaveTaylor GoPro Black. According to GoPro's website Live is supported on all Black models starting with the Hero 5.
