@3:21 if you lose the stream altogether, it will also stop recording. The SD card only provides a replacement copy for poor connection streams that might pixilate or drop frames etc. But unless it can reconnect the dropped stream within a short time (at least when using cellular) it will give up at which point it stops the recording as well.
Yes Jason you are 100% right on the audio side of it. I know that when we live stream we have to be right on for that experience. And of course I am speaking of a church service not sporting Event. We still we’re going to experiment with the RODE and see if that Will be a good fix for us. I will let you know what we find out. Also we do have a modem that uses other functions during the service and we experience some frozen times on our live streaming.But it usually only last for a short few seconds. But even just a few seconds when watching seems like an hour. 🤨 we will look forward future watching of your Videos!
Harry, I wish I could say we have the audio dialed in at our church! But we have had so many sound system issues lately (and a new one being installed in the next two weeks!), getting live stream sound fixed has been a bit low on the priority list. I'm excited to find out how the RODE works for you! Thanks!
Issues on live stream to Facebook: I have gotten these flags: your video is blocked and can’t be viewed in 249 places… or your video is partially muted due to copyright match.
I’m pretty sure the copyright match issue if because of the back ground music played. I’ve had many issue of people calling and saying I’m not live… but on my phone that’s what I’m using the Multicam from for baseball
Yes, copyright infringements are constantly being flagged or even shutting down streams. Seems to have gotten more stringent this season.
Jason, good points as always since as you and I both know the solution is using a personal router for our Mevo cameras and control device, both indoors and outdoors. I have made a voltage regulator and power mine from 26,000 Mah power banks which will work for about 17 hours plus, so they are a set and forget sort of item and gives you the bandwidth you need for a 1080P record or the stream of your choice whether wirelessly or using a cable to the "house" modem.

@@JasonHoffmanYT I stumbled on these "PowerAid" power banks on eBay. They are only $10 and I put them in Cellphone "holsters." They have an 18 watt continuous output capability and I make my own 5 volt DC to 12 volt DC converters for the router. I also use them to power the Start cameras externally as I like to be able to set them up and then leave them for 6-7 hours. I am currently using 7 camera for music production switching in the 4 when I need them for specialty shots such as drum overhead, reversals and super wide back of the hall shots. I would like to know how to get video out of the Start to a cell[phone for a handheld camera.

Are there any apps for your smartphone which will recognize the NDI signal the Mevo can produce? Might get you the video out you’re looking for.
@@JasonHoffmanYT Hi there no these are step-up converter boards, buck converters usually step down voltages. The boards are about the size of a postage stamp and I pot them into little boxes with epoxy and a small heat sink but they are better than 90% efferent. My deal is I like one system of batters not having to have several kinds with different charges and so forth.
I hadn't thought of that and I will do some research. I have found the big deal with the Mevos is forning the router with the bandwidth since you have to be running at 1080P to record at 1080P. I do have 2 Netgear routers for sale that worked great but are four stream with beamforming WiFi-5/6. I have gone to eight stream with beamforming WiFi 5/6.
I did stumble on a great little APP called WiFi analyzer that lets you see the local traffic and (it even tells you how many feet away it is) and lets you set your router on a totally clear channel with no interference.
What are the average up and down speeds of your MiFi?
@@superbmediacontentcreator Unfortunately my MiFi speeds fluctuate greatly in our area. Could be 130 down and 30 up or it could be 25 down and 3 up. BRILLIANT work with the step up converters BTW!
Biggest problem I’m having is wind noise. It’s Iowa so always windy but hate when that’s all I hear through the Mevo.
What are you using to combat this?

Dropped connection , no audio, not scheduling live stream the list goes on. Audio is a big one. I’ve learned even if they can’t make out perfectly what is happening during the stream audio will let them know if it was a good hit or play for sure .
YESSSSS! All the above! And I just have to laugh at myself sometimes to keep from crying LOL. I agree with the audio being so big tho. Can I confess it's good to know I'm not the only one to mess things up so badly? Thanks!!
@@JasonHoffmanYT we live and learn and teach like you are doing. So that the next generation doesn’t make the same mistakes . And trust me I fail big and more often than I care to admit.
So the answer to streaming outdoors is to not stream outdoors and record lol. . Makes the device pointless
Or maybe it should have been said the answer is knowing your venue. Having a backup plan. Preserving a recording is so the target audience has the joy of seeing what they couldn’t attend. Thanks for watching long enough to know what I did say lol
