Apollo 11 Moon Landing

- The Apollo 11 moon landing was a historic event that took place on July 20, 1969. It was the culmination of the Apollo program initiated by NASA (the National Aeronautics and Space Administration) with the goal of sending humans to the Moon.
The crew of Apollo 11 consisted of three astronauts: Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin, and Michael Collins. Armstrong and Aldrin were the two astronauts who actually landed on the Moon, while Collins remained in orbit aboard the command module.
The journey to the Moon took about four days. On July 20, Armstrong and Aldrin descended in the Lunar Module, named "Eagle," to the Moon's surface in the region known as the Sea of Tranquility. As Neil Armstrong made his way down the ladder, he famously spoke the words, "That's one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind," becoming the first person to set foot on the lunar surface.
The mission collected valuable scientific data and samples from the Moon's surface, and the astronauts planted the American flag to symbolize their achievement. They also conducted experiments and took photographs before returning to the Lunar Module. In total, they spent about two and a half hours outside the spacecraft.
After rendezvousing with Collins in the command module, the crew began their journey back to Earth. They splashed down in the Pacific Ocean on July 24, 1969, successfully concluding their mission.
The Apollo 11 moon landing was a significant milestone for space exploration and a testament to human ingenuity and determination. It remains one of the most remarkable achievements in the history of mankind's exploration of outer space.

It's an animated replica. An animation. But to scale.. Right? The lunar module in the animation is to scale! It is a computer generated animation of the lunar module! An accurate reresentation of the lunar module!
Inside the lunar module was a:
1 -- Dunebuggy
2 -- Moon car
3 -- Vehicle with 4 wheels
4 -- ANY OR ALL THE ABOVE
Choose wisely. I will be dehydrating manure so we can use it in space if ever we choose to go back to the moon, with a big huge moon car with 4 wheels, like we did in 1969.

Great effect and visuals. I was 9 years old when they landed on the moon. I was very much into the Apollo program when I was a kid. I would write NASA constantly and they would send me photos and pamphlets; their public relations program was phenomenal. My folks let me stay home from school to watch the moon landing. There was an engineer that lived down the street from us, who worked for the Bendix corporation. He worked with NASA engineers and Neil Armstrong and showed him how to deploy a laser reflector that was left on the moon to measure seismic activity, etc. He gave me a picture of him and Neil together and also gave me scrap pieces of space suit fabric and golden mylar, that was used on the moon lander. These people changed my life as a kid. I am forever grateful to them, the Apollo program, and all of NASA in general.
I think it’s great when adults such as family, teachers, friends or neighbors inspire a kid to go for their dreams. To mentor students or someone you know is the most valuable investment in our societies future.
I’ll never forget the people who took me under their wing and taught me things that were both useful and valuable in my life.
I have fond memories of those people and I will never forget their kindness, attention and support. I’m forever grateful, thank you!
Excelente.
How do you explain the camera shots? Did another rocket accompany Apollo 11 with a film crew who took all those shots from variety of angles ?
And there was also a cameraman already on the moons surface who filmed the shot of Armstrong coming out of the rocket and therefore being the SECOND "man to take a small step for man but a giant leap for mankind "?
How come there are shadows of the rocket and men when the sun doesn't shine there?

Because it didn't happen up there but here on earth
Edited. The actual audio is available for the Apollo missions you can hear the delays.
One way signal takes approx 1.3 seconds. Given the audio is recorded on earth, there would be no apparent delay in NASA talking back to the astronauts.
Because they didn’t go there the first time or any other so I’d like to know why.
Mankind’s greatest achievement so far. Thank you JFK and the thousands of people who worked for NASA back then.

If man walked on the moon in 1969 then man would be walking on Mars by now. Remember we simply can’t get through the Van Allen belts, way too much radiation, it would kill any human being. We will get to the moon someday it’s just not happening anytime soon, we still need to protect the astronauts from the Van Allen Belts and figure out a way for them to get back from the moon, that will really be an exciting time for mankind, hope I’m alive to see it.
I remember that night like it was yesterday. My friend's wife gave birth to their Son after I left to go home after watching it all on TV. Quite a night.

There was the main ship that was in orbit around the moon with one astronaut in it, while the two in the lunar lander, " tranquility base" landed on the moon with two astronauts in it. When they left the moon, they blasted off and re-connected with the main ship and all three returned to earth.

They boys had some set of go-nads
When the controller announced thirty seconds of fuel left and Neil kept maneuvering, I remember thinking that they would not survive. Of all the hundreds of thousands of things NASA had to do right, I believe selecting Neil Armstrong to be the pilot was the most important. We will never know if any other astronaut could have pulled off the first extraterrestrial landing after finding the intended landing area unsuitable. Neil was possibly the best pilot and astronaut who ever lived.
Sigh.
Yes your absolutely correct, the best pile of horse manure ever. Your've got yourself a mighty fine outta space craft vehicle couldn't fool anyone. Oh of course I forgot the moon buggy they supposedly folded an strapped it on the side of there tent/space shuttle an brought that up ohh and the golf clubs it wouldn't be a proper moon experience without smashing a few golf balls.. come on mate my four yo is smarter than you if you actually believe that bs you posted!? With his extreme humility and extreme competence and excellent temperament, Neil Armstrong is a unique giant that I can still take as a role model for myself and my children. Unlike any of the anti role model toddler man babies of our day roaming around thumping their chests and seeking attention and praise nonstop. Elon Musk and DJ Trump (aka inmate #POlI35809 as of today) come to mind. I puke in disgust every time I see either one

Cameraman jumped out in space before landing to take this shoot. He never came back .. but before that cameraman dropped the film with camera after he was done with his filming . While throwing he got back thrust more than escape velocity away from moon, so could not reach the surface. Nonetheless, the camera man did exvellent job. Unfortunately no one knows his name
