*In the video it says 275°F but the correct temperature to bake at is 300°F for 10mins. Keep in mind the temperature may vary for different ovens and cook time may also depend on the thickness and size of the macarons so be sure to keep an eye on them while baking!

50g egg whites
65g white sugar
black food colouring

Protip: You should draw on the shape of the macarons on the parchment paper (but pipe them on the other side so you don't eat graphite) to make it easier. Also, using 2 cookie sheets will make the bottoms less likely to burn.

Jasma: I just watched your basic macaron tutorial in which you explained how to make the white chocolate ganache. So, I now know how to make the ganache. If I just want to melt the white chocolate alone without heavy cream, how do I do that?

Hi Jasma! I tried the recipes today but i failed badly. I followed urs exactly step by step. Mine did not have and feet and they cracked all over. I dont know what went wrong with it???
Oh I'm sorry to hear that...it sounds like the macarons didn't dry fully before baking, and perhaps the batter was slightly overfolded?

They're the same thing! Almond flour, almond meal and ground almonds are all basically almonds that have been finely ground.

I love the powder food coloring to put some color in the panda face but what can I use as substitutes for the powder food coloring?
Thanks! There are substitutes on the market such as beet root powder or red yeast powder which are both quite pigmented. Although I've never tried using it for this purpose so not entirely sure how well it would work...

I would like to try making panda macarons. However, a while ago, I was melting white chocolate to dip strawberries in, and no matter how I heat it (microwave or on the stove top) it burns rather than melts. What is the correct way to melt white chocolate chips?

Thanks! I don’t think a paper bag is the best idea, if you don’t have a regular piping bag then zip lock bags can also work.

No it wouldn't, putting it in a dry environment is the best way to speed up the process

Why is my macaron stuck to the parchment paper? And the tip break off and separate from the body...
That means your macarons were underbaked so it hasn't fully dried out. Also make your you let them cool completely before peeling them off.

I just try out again earlier... I leave it in the oven longer this time ... my macaron is no longer stuck on the parchment, but some how the shell is soft, cracking, and have a concave feet :-(
Yeah no problem. I'm not sure exactly what the issue is with your new batch, but if the top is cracking it's most likely because there were too many air bubbles in your batter and it could've been overmixed.
