How much time can it hold it the pressure for without starting a pump cycle? In my house the pump starts a few seconds after turning a faucet, and stops a few seconds after.

Sounds like you have an on demand type pump. There are a lot of those out there, as they are easy for the manufacturer to make money on. The CSV is similar in that the pump continues to run for as long as you are using water. However, you must use all the water in the pressure tank before the pump comes on, and it takes 30 to 60 seconds to refill the tank after using water, before the pump shuts off. How long it takes for the pump to come on, depends on how large a tank you have. Our PK1A kit uses a 4.5 or a 10 gallon tank, which hold 1 or 2 gallons respectively. So even with the 4.5 gallon tank a 1 GPM sink faucet should run for a minute before the pump comes on.

my pump is outside in a hole, 6ft deep and the pressure tank is, mounted under the pump and the pressure switch is mounted on the pump too, how the heck would I hook one of your products, up inside the house when it is like 35 foot away from the house in a hole in the back yard, on a extension cord, and all the piping is underground, and under my house us a crawl space? I am cornfuzzled???

The CSV just needs to be the first thing out of the pump. Then the sensing line on the pressure switch to the jet pump needs to be extended and attached to the CSV1A or after the CSV close to the tank. Sometimes it is just easier to install a new pressure switch on the CSV1A, and just wire around the switch on the motor.

Cycle Stop Valves thank you very much, is the pressure tank you sell a bladder tank or just a storage tank?

It is actually a diaphragm type tank, which I like much more than a bladder style.

I just installed one. And my pump is still cycling on and off.

If the pump is cycling while no water is being used, the check valve is not working. If the pump is cycling while using more than 1 GPM the CSV is set higher than the off setting of the pressure switch. 40/60 switch, CSV at 50 PSI. With the CSV at 60, the pump is shut off before the CSV can start working.

Ya. I got it working. Thanks. But I must say that this product is not a plug and play type. Lol. I had to have someone come in and fine tune it. That wasn’t cheap. But now. Works great!!!

@@rondail9757 All you have to do is turn on a shower and adjust the bolt to hold 50 PSI like you want. Running about 3 GPM like a shower is the only trick to adjusting the CSV. Also we try to preset any that are ordered from us. Sorry I didn't see this sooner. You could have called or emailed?
