Ahsoka's fight with the Inquisitor most reminded me of the final duel between Darth Maul and Obi-Wan on Tatooine (in Rebels). Both Ahsoka and Obi-Wan rapidly dispatched their enemies, after just a couple of defensive moves that countered the aggressing Sith's opening strikes. It shows their maturity, confidence, and resolve to the light side of the force that they wait for their opponents to strike first, and then absolutely devastate them.

I think Ahsoka's training in "Practice Makes Perfect" is after the events of "Lightsaber Lost" and before the "Heroes on Both Sides" episode due to the change in her outfit. The outfit she wore was a combination between the halter-top and whit pants in Seasons 1 and 2, and the full clothing as seen in seasons 3 thru 5. There were several episodes in series where Ahsoka was not with Anakin, therefore, she could have had her test as he returned from one of those missions.

    • @stanleydodds9
      @stanleydodds9 Před rokem +16

That's what I thought too. The Terra Sinube thing and the outfit were my main thoughts. But also, to me, she looks a little bit older than season 1/2 clone wars. Plus, the clones exclusively call her "commander", which I don't think they did much or at all at the very start of the clone wars.
I feel like Obi-Wan's hair is a minor detail that they are retconning (or you could just say he grew it out again). Either way, that seems fine to me; this is all early in the clone wars anyway, and it's closer to his hair from the original clone wars. I was mostly just wondering if there's anything official about when the episode exactly takes place, because if it's before lightsaber lost, then it is a little bit confusing.

Some Easter Eggs I also noticed from watching these episodes:
Ep 1: Baby Ahsoka yawns when returned to her Mom, similar to how Grogu falls asleep after using his force powers
Ep 2: the lighting on the face of Dooku in the pub resembles the last fading light, or the little good left in him
Ep 3: when Dooku talks to the prisoner, the red light of the prison cell shines upon him, similar to his future red lightsaber
Ep 4: the Dooku vs Yaddle fight scene was similar to his vs Yoda and you can see Yaddle have a similar battle stance when fighting Dooku with his hands and maybe why we was so much better later
Also, there's a scene where Yaddle walks into the light and Dooku into the darkness, after their conversation in the Jedi temple
Also also, the tree in the Jedi temple is very similar to the tree references from LOTR
Also also also, when Dooku walks away from the tree, he walks away from the Jedi order as he never comes back after that scene
Ep 5: Jesse starts the episode by saying sorry to Ahsoka and it ends with him having no remorse in ordering the clones to fire against her
Ep 6: Ahsoka fighting style intially was similar to Luke's vs Kylo Ren where he dodges all the saber strikes
There maybe more I missed but here are some from the top of my head. Also good job yet again for covering most of these Easter Eggs! Love your channel! 🙌

The first outfit Ahsoka wears in ep. 5 is a mix of her first and second Clone Wars looks, probably implying that it’s between those seasons. I also wish we would have seen even a clip of Ahsoka putting together her white lightsabers, which she made using the Inquisitors saber she grabbed. Also a reference to her choosing Fulcrum as her code name would have been great to tie everything together, but I understand we can’t have everything in these shorts…

Sweet breakdown! One thing I would add about the first episode: I would say the forehead marking Gantika puts on Ahsoka more likely comes from Indian culture: tilak. Usually worn at the temple, or a spiritual occasion. Especially since Gantika seems to be the spiritual authority of their village.
Also, all the well known Togruta have Indian or Indian inspired names:
    - Gantika (especially the way Pav-ti pronounces it, with the soft "t")
    - Ahsoka (from the emperor Ashoka the Great)
    - Pav-ti (sounds like a reference to the goddess Parvati, also the voice actress is Indian)
    - Nak-il reminds me of the Indian name "Nikhil"
    - Even our beloved Shaak Ti (RIP)
But then again, Padme seems to be Sanskrit inspired, and Sheev is from Shiva. It seems that Lucas was equally inspired by Indian culture as he was by Japanese culture.

I like that we see Qui Gon actually learn the value of living in the moment. They were far out of the bounds of the mandate of their trip already, instead of just defaulting to the wishes of his master, as a padawan would probably be taught to do, Qui Gon senses the needs of the moment. All the darkness welling up and how it could be stopped without it coming to a fight between him and his Master. He acts on the present raw living force rather than his training of the more broad stroke cosmic force that the jedi have come to use as a crutch

The animal that Pav-Ti kills is actually a Kybuck, the animal that Yoda rides during the battle of coruscant in the 2003 clone wars series, and is a native creature to shili. Also I’m pretty sure the sabre-tooth creature is actually an Akul, a beast that togruta fear and hunt. The series doesn’t say as such, and wookiepedia doesn’t label it as an Akul, but I believe it is one

OMG this has been the most amazing little Star Wars experience I had in a long time. The story progression and characterization was out of this world. I loved baby Ashoka and Young Dooku, I loved every little moment that gave us answers to little things I didn't know I needed answers for. You're telling me Anakin's special training made Ashoka such a beast that the troopers needed to call on God for order 66! You're telling me Dooku actually had rebel ideals and his imaginative ways was passed onto Qui Gon which eventually led to him becoming Sith himself all because the council didn't believe in the Sith as a threat before. He MURKED YADDLE!!
Holy f!@#! this was amazing. Dave Fioni is probably my new Kevin Feige and he's actually writing and producing all of this shit. To have his job must be amazing. All he does is build Star Wars canon. Man this show was refreshing. I want more.

22:49 I don't think it's necesarily a mistake. Maybe Obi Wan just grew his hair out again after the events of The Clone Wars movie because of it's critical failure then cut it again by the time of STCW S1 and stuck with that style for the remainder of the Clone Wars. Peoples hair can grow quick you know. So the solution is simples.

tales of the jedi is truly beautiful not only animation but the story telling of ahsoka and count dooku shows so much for these characters. especially how anakin tests her to protect herself with clones shooting which explains how ahsoka didn’t die during order 66, and how she got a lightsaber from an inquisitor. count dooku really made me like his character more and made realize why he was questioning the jedi. another cool thing they described was how kamino archives weren’t in the jedi archives and how yaddle wasn’t in attack of the clones. ahsoka and count dooku are two sides of the same coin.

Dooku states that he must take his leave and soon after he says that, the scene points to him and yaddle walking seperate ways. Yaddle walking towards the light and Dooku walking towards the dark.

  • @spinjitzumasterfalcon
