It gave me chills seeing Dooku delete Kamino, and visit Darth Sidious after Qui-Gon's death. It not only adds more to Dooku's character in AOTC, but also lines up with one of my favorite books, Darth Plagueis, which shows he and Sidious already had some sort of connection before the prequels began.
I also love seeing the updated versions of Obi-Wan and Anakin's armor, and the updated phase 1 clones. I hope we get a season 2!
Wait, the clone troopers had new models?
@@tracytron7162 clones use the same phase 1 armor, the animation and models are all that received any overhauls/changes.
@@owenedward144 I know, the latter is what I was asking about, not the former
@@tracytron7162 then yes, they had new models. technology has come a long way since the phase ones were last featured.
A season 2 with different characters would be great!
TALES OF THE SITH!!!!!
@@enzovalencia2762 it may be after jedi part will be finale. I am wondering shaak ti and ki adi mundi also.
@@enzovalencia2762 If they're gonna do 6 eps again, we got a good setup for the various Darths we've got in canon:
Episode 1: Darth Bane. Perhaps how he formed the Rule of Two.
Episode 2: Darth Plagueis. Perhaps how he came across Palpatine.
Episode 3: Darth Sidious. Perhaps how he killed Plagueis.
Episode 4: Darth Maul. Perhaps how he was trained under Palpatine.
Episode 5: Darth Tyranus. Perhaps a continuation of the Sith Lord story of how Dooku took on his Sith name and left the Jedi.
Episode 6: Darth Vader. Perhaps an adaptation of one of the comic stories.
@@myriadmediamusings darth Vader episode should be about the lightsaber battle with Luke where he discoverers that Luke is his son from boba fett
Season two: during original
Season three: during sequel
Season four: during High Republic
Thats what i hope for.
Dave putting Ahsoka at Padme’s funeral is like the crowning achievement for his whole career. I can imagine how happy it made him. Now I have to rewatch ROTS to see if there is an extra in a hood on that side of Padme’s procession.
I doubt it, Ahsoka was created in 2008 revenge of the sith came out in 2005 so there very likely isn't.
@@MataNui. i think hes talking more about a random hooded extra that he and others could imagine being Ahsoka, for fun, possibly even what the writers did in order to decide whereabouts to place her, not specifically that she would actually be seen there
@@MataNui. Yeah, it's like how Yularen was designed to become one of the Imperial Officers in the conference room on the Death Star or how Rex's "Rebels" look was designed to make him the old man in the Endor strike team.
In the 2nd Dooku episode when he talks about it being very difficult to kill a Jedi unless they were betrayed, especially by someone they trust seemed like foreshadowing Order 66 or perhaps this gave him the idea for Order 66 when planning with Sidious
Not to mention his own betrayal by Palpatine
True, also foreshadows his eventual duel with Yaddle
And his betrayal of Sifo Dyas.
The Inquisitor Ahsoka goes up against is voiced by Clancy Brown who previously did the voices of Savage Oppress and Ryder Azadi to name a few.
And Montross in Bounty Hunter
And Mr Krab
@@noahcoq4408 Lex Luthor too, buf they were specifically talking about Star Wars roles
And Hank! From DBC
And the Denobian Glurg? In Episode 6 The Prisoner on The Mandolarian in live action
NOTABLE: CLONE WARS S3E7 Assassin was previously the LAST appearance of Ahsoka with the single-saber style.
"Practice Makes Perfect" therefore must occur between CW episodes S3 E7 and her NEW glow-up in E10 "Heroes on both sides" when she FIRST appears with her NEW look, and second saber.
It also answers the Question of "why did Ahsoka switch from a Single-saber style" - or in some other ways - "when did Ahsoka 'grow up' a little" during the series.
good for trivia.
It wasn’t the same outfit she got in the middle of TCW’ season 3. It’s pretty similar but not the same. The reason for that probably being Disney’s unwillingness of showing half-nudity that was the fact with her first TCW outfit.
I think most of that had to have taken place in between the first half of season 3 and the rest of season 3. Ahsoka's outfit looks like a cross between her outfit at the beginning and what she was wearing till season the end of season 5.
I like that Dooku's status regarding the Jedi Order is kept ambiguous for anyone who doesn't read the novels but the way other Jedi interact with him, it's still implied that he isn't a member of the Order if you know he's already left. That's a really good balance to have. I also just like that Dooku was allowed to visit whenever he wanted and remained on good terms with everyone for a time after he left. It adds this additional tragic element to his eventual turn into Darth Tyrannus.
In Episode 4, the fact that Yaddle resigned from the Jedi Council after the Battle of Naboo to take a less active role in Jedi affairs was true from a source book to explain her absence from Attack of the Clones and replacement by Shaak Ti but *now* the fact is solidified and we learn that she resigned because Qui-Gon died and because the majority of the Council refused to believe that the Sith could have returned, which is just heart wrenching. And the fact that she speaks with correct syntax is true from her appearances in the High Republic. I think that's to do with either age or upbringing, which is why she and Yoda speak differently. It's an interesting discussion.
I will say though that her stepping down from the Council was something of a hint that she was still alive and I'm still heartbroken that's been taken away, there were other hints as well like a mention of her in Jedi Fallen Order. I was hoping for it honestly. I also think Tera Sinube's lightsaber appears to be standard blue because it's being seen through a blue ray shield to be fair, at least that's what I'm choosing to believe because I like that he has a unique shade of blue for his saber.
And its another exhibit of the Sith in their house right under their noses, for quite a while
Too bad about Yaddle. She just sort of disappeared after TPM and was never seen again. It would've made sense for her to train Grogu had she still been alive at the time since she the same species. It's possible there are other members of Yoda's species out there besides Yoda, Yaddle and Grogu.
The inquisitor in the last short is so cool!
I hope for future inquisitors to have more cool and outlandish designs like his , just such a cool design!
I forgot to say loved the series!
He got new armor it seems after his comic appearances. I wonder what, if anything, he did to earn his cool newly designed armor.
I'm guessing that is supposed the 6th Brother? Most of the other Inquistors have been depicted in live action, games or animation.
Surprised he didn’t say anything about this inquisitor, given how he’s voiced by Clancy Brown, how Ahsoka took him down, & how when he died he partly vanished like Obi Wan
In the episode practice makes perfect I couldn't help but laugh when Jesse yelled sorry Commander after Ahsoka waked up
Same. It made me laugh and then feel all the worse about Order 66
The dog was freaking crazy just a regular dog. Like in the new hope novel
Did they make Tera Sinube's lightsaber blue, or did it appear blue through the lens of the blue field that enclosed Ahsoka during her training? That would make sense...right?
Tano also used her extra training moves in Clone Wars -To Catch A Jedi.
I thought Ahsoka's alias "Ashla" was a nod to Ashley Eckstein. LOL
They did a great job making Ahsoka’s mom resemble her but not look exactly alike
I actually really like the explanation for what happened to Yaddle in this series. Not every hero needs a glorious or mysterious death.
Also Ahsoka's father calls her 'little Soka' the same nickname as Plo Koon
2:03 Also interesting that the young Qui Gon model is lacking a Padawan Braid.
Something worth to note is Ki Adi Mundi seems to run the funeral instead of Yoda since Tom Kane no longer can voice the character because of a stroke.
There was also a Jedi Youngling Togruta called Ashla in AOTC
I hope they come out with more! What would be fun is to have new episodes just come out every once in awhile. Maybe one on Rey or some from the high republic
One thing I noticed is that in the 5th episode, both of Ahsoka’s lightsabers are the same shade of green when in the clone wars one was a yellowish green
🤦
Filoni 👏🏾Gets 👏🏾Star 👏🏾Wars👏🏾
I thought it was kinda weird that Caleb/Kanan was there for Ashoka’s demonstration, because in rebels he doesn’t know who she is
I mean Caleb is a kid here. He meets her again as an adult. It's not a stretch to suggest that Caleb would completely forget who Ahsoka was.
He drunk her off his memories.
Looking back at the scene where they first meet it's not clear whether or not he recognizes her, so I'm fine having the headcanon that he knows of her, but it's not like they were close friends or anything.
That bit about a jedi being killed by surprise only because she would have trusted those around her is straight from legends. HK-47 talked about this when describing how to kill a jedi in the KotOR 2 video game. The game, and this dialogue, were out just before episode 3 back in the day, foreshadowing how the clone could shoot the jedi so fast... It was trust.
I loved seeing the updated phase 1 clone trooper armor
You missed one! The place where Anakin takes Ashoka first is where they took the Zillo beast!!
I want to know who those white haired Jedi at the funeral were, they seem familiar, or their designs do at least, but I cant place them
Was the final episode’s location with Ashoka the same planet that Dooku and Qui Gon visited in their first episode?
Seemed like a “the son uplifted this location so it wasn’t still suffering”, as well as the same kind of hay stacking droid walking around, this time in better condition.
I was wondering if they were just cheap and re-used the same hay bales, wagons and loader droids. I like you explanation better!
reused models imo
In the clone wars there is a ep where Rex got sniped down and a deserted clone helped him recover. Rex never turned him in. I think Rex took Ashoka there so he knew she would be safe there
I'm really looking forward to your follow up video about Dooku and the circumstances surrounding him leaving the Jedi and the clone army. The ambiguity and shaky continuity surrounding that whole time period have always irked me. I'd hoped that these shorts would bring clarity, and they did to an extent, but they also introduced new uncertainties and questions!
Q&A Since Paav-ti and Shaak-ti share the “ti” part of their names could they be related or just part on the same tribe or clan like with mandalorians?
Good question! Or is it just a common secondary name like Marie is for American women of a certain age?
Anyone hear think a second season with Ventress and Kanan would be cool? Imagine two padawans without their masters who saw their entire lives taken away by who they assumed to be their allies. It works since Dooku ordered the droids to kill her
Also that untie tree is what baress gets forced pushed into when she gets caught
Also it’s where anakins first time trying to kill a Jedi if technically just recently fallen to the dark
Also shown in one of Yodas visions
Are we not going to talk about the fact that Yaddle's door looks like a giant Cheshire Cat grin?
Alex, can you make a Dooku complete timeline please? It'd help to clear some things out for me: was Dooku kind of an informal apprentice of Sidious before TPM?
Yeah, if he left the order 10yrs before TPM, he found Sidious at some point during that time, became his apprentice, but was hidden from Maul. So u can see it as a lie/betrayal of Maul by Sidious, telling him he's infact his apprentice, or that Maul was just a Sith assassin. Dooku was allowed to keep his saber and enter the Jedi temple after leaving the order too. Probably not after killing Yaddle tho as I think he'd be too nervous 😂
One big gripe I've always had with The Clone Wars is they made Dooku a mustache twirling villain whereas I prefer to think of him as truly thinking he's doing what's right (Like in Tales of The Jedi).
I noticed that the Phase 1 clones (including Rex) had updated models with ribbed undersuits, a funny contrast when it cuts to the Order 66 scene with the older models who have simpler undersuits
The farming planet shown in episode 6 feels incredibly familiar and similar to the planet in obi wan, where he and leia go to in about the middle of the season.
No
I didn’t say it was the same planet I just said it looks familiar
@@mclaynmusick9753 The one in Kenobi was a rocky mining planet not agricultural. And the buildings on the mining planet were grey and build of a very different material than the one in TOJ.
The animation blew me away again, the character models never looked this good
The voice actor for bail organa played as the live action bail organas brother in the tv series the get down, really good show. Both phenomenal actors
I didn't like Tales.
I LOVED it. I went in some expectations, primarily for the Dooku stuff, but my goodness it was outstanding. The Sith Lord I think may be the best singular animated segment in current Star Wars.
The Sith Lord was also my favourite... but I found it funny.
Padawan actually established that Dooku kept on visiting the order after he had left it
I hope Lucasfilm and Filoni make a Season 2 with other prominent Jedi characters. I wouldn't mind seeing Luke, a younger Yoda, Plo Koon, Ki-Adi-Mundi, and Qui-Gon Jinn take center stage
I’m here for a “Tales Of…” Anthology series that explores the different characters of different groups of the SW universe, from the far past, to the present and the future- every season
Please, please, Alex, I need to know the name of those cute fluffy Jack Skellington looking Loth puppy type things that Ahsoka's village elder was feeding.
Thank you for this video.
I'm confused about continuity and Obi-Wan's mullet. We know he had the mullet in Attack of the Clones at the Battle of Geonosis, but by the battle of Christophsis and the beginning of the Clone Wars series (and the film), he'd cut his hair to a shorter length.
But in Tales of the Jedi, episode 5, 'Practice Makes Perfect,' Ahsoka is already identified as Anakin's Padawan, implying that the beginning the short takes place after the Battle of Christophsis and the beginning of the Clone Wars series/film.
Are we to believe that Obi-Wan kept the mullet up until after the events of Brotherhood (otherwise known as 'that business of Cato Neimodia'), cut his hair prior to the battle of Christophsis, then let it grow out again during Ahsoka's training, and then cut it again shortly after?
Where's my Obi-Wan hair timeline?
I was confused about that too
It is for out of universe reasons. They likely didnt't have the technology and/or budget to make a believable mullet when they started TCW so they implemented it now, just because they can. It's the same reason they put the Jedi generals in armour in the early seasons. Making materials like hair and fabric that have subtle movements back in the early years of the movie and show was harder.
Why not? I mean people change hairstyles in our world. Perhaps Obi-Wan wasn't sure if he liked the mullet or not which is why he cut it, let it grow back and then cut it again.
I chock up the minor continuity issues in Practice Makes Perfect to its ending where Ahsoka is led to Jesse in "Victory and Death." Ahsoka is remembering her training and (especially given the many, many blackouts) may recall some details wrong.
Thank god someones asking the real questions!! 😂
Any thoughts on the crashed ship on that planet ashoka was held up on? It looks like the correct shape of wing and engine layout as the stinger mantis?
This channel is so good
Heres one you missed. Yaddle who appeared in TPM makes an appearance in this.
I'd love to see a TotJ episode/s showing Kanan meeting/rescuing Zeb and Sabine :)
The T-6 shuttle model in these episodes match the model for the Ahsoka show more than the models in TCW and Rebels.
simply need more Tales
4:43 Most importantly, he voiced Palpatine in the Angry Birds Star Wars II "Join the Pork Side" Trailer.
Master Katri seems to practice the same dress code and has the same diamond pattern tattoos as Luminara and Barriss. Maybe she is Unduli’s Master.
guessed production easter eggs. the son of the senator in justice seems like a modified version of the lux bonteri model. very similar facial structure. and i could swear they molded dooku's head from kanan jarrus' rebels faceplate. does not add to the lore, but i seen those things too. :)
I thought that as well, both the son of the senator and the guard in the next episode looked like Lux to me!
It most likely is Shili since that's what's been listed as Ahsoka's home planet since she first popped up.
I need the next batch of episodes to be about Cal Kestis and Taron Malicos
Eagerly anticipating season 2!
I wanna see a short about sifo- deyas going to Kamino and first asking them for a clone army. And see how he was killed....
"Raxis Secundus" (planet name from 3rd episode) is a very obvious Dune easter egg. A combination of "Arrakis" and "Salusa Secundus." It even looks like a desert planet.
I 💛 the Republic T6 Jedi Shuttle! Maybe weird, but it's my favorite ship in the SW universe 🤓
the dog definitely wasn't an anooba. its too dog-like as opposed to wolf/hyena-like and is missing the large lower canine that is a key feature of anoobas
They can animate fur now!
I think it's safe to say that the first planet is indeed Shili. She's born on that planet, a Shili is her canonical homeworld
I think Terra Sinubes lightsaber looks blue because when then he activates his lightsaber, it’s from the perspective of inside the force field which is blue
Do we know which inquisitor attacks Ahsoka? I thought it was the Tenth brother at first (or whoever had the similar mask) but that cant be right…
Personally, I connected the name Ashla to that of Ahsoka's voice actress, Ashley Eckstein.
I think this show really opened up the Star Wars communities eyes to how interesting dooku’s character is. He was a sith who turned to the dark side for just reasons and not selfish ones. He was right about the Jedi all along too. Gives his death a lot more perspective. Love it dude.
So Yoda is about 400 years older than Yaddle. Could the difference in speech be because he grew up in an older time?
The tiger looks a bit like the Pokémon Raikou
Can we get a whole series about doku and qui gon
Remember the clone wars ep where rex got sniped down and got taken care of a clone that deserted the army? I think Rex took her there
If you watch the clone wars episode lightsaber lost in S2, Tera Sinube’s lightsaber is actually a pale blue. It doesn’t appear white until season 5 the wrong Jedi when Anakin is dueling Barriss. This has to be the Mandela effect because I could’ve sworn it was always white but I guess not
I think Tera Sinube's lightsaber looks more blue here because we see it throw that kind of blue energy field
Sinube's lightsaber WAS white, but in the shots we see of it in that scene, it's behind a blue forcefield, making it look blue as well.
season 2 with a grogu part
Am I the only one who thinks that in the first episode the creatures who are fed by the shaman- lady of the village look A LOT like the Loth-cats from Lothal? ...like "Loth-dogs" or something
Maybe Terra just tuned his blade. If Anakin can make a green one blue, then he can make a blue one pale.
The Clone Wars was suppose to explore Ahsoka's origin but it was scrapped, at least they readopted portion of the lost Ahsoka arc into the series.
Isn’t Ashla also the name of the youngling in Attack of the Clones, who is the same species as Ahsoka?
Did anyone notice that ashla is the name of the togruta youngling in attack of the clones?
Am I looking too hard, or is Yaddle’s ship inspired by the PDT-8 mini rig?
Sinube's lightsaber is the same color as ever- the energy shield surrounding Ahsoka is blue, and tints the view
.
As cool as it was to see Obi-wan with his ATOC haircut, I don't know how much sense it makes. When we first see him in The Clone Wars show, he has short hair, already. And that was before Anakin even met Ahsoka, much less took her as his Padawan. My only guess is that this was between seasons and he grew it out and immediately cut it off again, for some reason, lol 😅...
Exquisitely Specific about
Romantically Tragic StarWars
Explanation 🤘🌴😎 HUZZAH 🔥
Also Ahsoka’s shoto is green instead of being yellow.
The only thing I would have loved to see is in the last Dooku episode that yaddle would say something like: You are no Peace Keeper Dooku, you are a tyrant. Then Dooku kills her and Palpatine would make him his new apprentice just like he did with Vader and call him Darth Tyranus. Non the less I loved the episodes!
2:35 Do you mean Age of Republic? I can't find any comic called Tales of the Republic.
I do! My bad!
Is the old farmer Cut Lawquane
I liked this season of Tales of the Jedi, but it would have been nice to have a couple of new stories, almost all of these were stories that only add one minor element to stories we already knew.
Why does Plo Koon have clone armor in the Windu/ Dooku Episode?
in my mind the last short kinda serves as a trailer for the novel? but there's really no justification for cutting out and replacing the Lartes
I hope they do a tale of the sith
What about the droids that attacked Mace Windu and Dooku on Raxus?
his lightsaber was blue because of the ray shield
I wonder why some Jedi get the fire pyre funeral and why some get the light funeral in the Jedi Temple.
We first saw the light funeral after the Jedi Temple's bombing so I thought that perhaps Jedi who die on Coruscant/in the Jedi Temple get it and others who died offworld get the pyre. But the Jedi Master from the Jedi Tales also got the light funeral.
But why did Qui-Gon got the pyre? Perhaps it's reserved for those who die fighting the Sith? I mean it would fit since both Obi-Wan and Anakin died that way.
I wonder if it was blue because of the ray shield
Ok, but I need to know the name of the 3 dogs like in the Ashoka town the Matriarch pets… they are not Lothcat nor Tookas are they?? They clearly are Canines not felines… they bark…
I feel like Semage was in the clone wars series?
Is anyone noticing the older lady and younger padawan that may be related to mace? I’m very interested in who they are, are they mace’s relatives or from his home world? I’m mind blown no one is saying a word about them.
Would've loved if the Matriarch said "Ahsoka is Jedi.... like Shaak Ti" Justice for Shaak Ti! Ty for at least finding a reason to mention her!
