Humza Yousaf resigned after turning Scotland into an Orwellian land of thought crimes

  • Humza Yousaf described himself as “the luckiest man in the world” when he was elected as the 14th leader of the SNP and, in consequence, the sixth First Minister of Scotland.
Less than 400 days later, Mr Yousaf has accepted the brutal truth: that he inherited a crown too heavy for his head, and one irreversibly tainted by the legacy of what went before.
Whatever you might think of his predecessors Nicola Sturgeon and Alex Salmond, they will be remembered long after their lifetimes, but Mr Yousaf, like his Westminster equivalent Liz Truss, is likely to become nothing more than a trivia question in years to come.

I doubt he'll be forgotten. The gender bill caused a lot of waves and opposition from everyone as it boosted the trans issue, by criminalising recognition of basic biology, just as the Cass report had exposed that industry, and for its deep illiberalism and promotion of a DDR-like informer society. JKR was a very visible white knight defender of Scottish freedom. So Yusuf may be remembered for the events that surrounded him, that he had allowed to build, and those debates and anxiety about free speech will be remembered. And...that law is still on the books and SNP still the govt and Yusuf still 1st Minister for weeks/months. Will there be a scottish election? Is this yet over?

People don't get the point is extremely disrespectful. Trans people are what they are, and we don't have anything to say about it. Just respect the people.

It was like Humza and the two Greens, Harvey and his side kick were running the country by working their respective ideologies on the public. Weirdly, neither of these 3 had much concern for the climate.
Basically extremists and activists were running Scotland, their legacy is that they introduced a hate law (which was really a reflection of themselves), by appealing to the worst in human nature. Their extremism turned into a sort of mass hysteria, where there was only one game in town as far as the trio Humza, Patrick and Lorna were concerned.
