This was a golden era when my dad and I, who separated from my mom prior, had McDonald’s every weekend; I loved every moment of it, too!
Back when Saturday morning was the coolest time of the week!!
I grew up in the 90's so the only characters on the McDonalds commercials I've seen were Ronald, Grimmace and the Hamburglar. This was awesome to see.
i grew up seeing mac tonight commercials
I love the old days
In some countries they were still using the entire McDonaldland characters in the 90's.
These commercials are a lot more fun than the modern ones
I wish Ronald McDonald and his friends were still on tv they were the best
X force THERE'S NOTHING WRONG WITH BEING GAY, YOU'RE BEING KIND OF RACIST
Evan Kolar R.I.P. them good characters
Ronald McGoddamn Donald!
Yeah know its just about Coffee
I never got to watch him.
McDonald's transition over the years has been interesting. They went from promoting themselves as a kid's restaurant to completely changing to more of an adult coffee house look. They even changed the way the restaurants looked. They went from being bright and colorful to more adult colors. I don't even think I have seen a new advertisement for a happy meal in years.
Honestly, it reflects the world. It used to all be fun, happy and carefree. But now, it's all bland, miserable, and "grown up".
@@MrFleshyMan I never thought of it like that. Good point.
These are better then the modern ones!

We'll get those types of commercials back into the mainstream. I'm planning to put together a Retro Decade Revival Project. Our goal is to bring real entertainment, true talent, pure originality and diversity, old school and more back into the public mainstream, starting with the 1980s. That means putting an end to modern entertainment.
Yeah. It's because it's full of humans
I actually like some of these older commercials. The work out commercial's kind of ironic. ^_^;
I wish adverts these days were just like these ones. I would actually enjoy watching adverts if they were like this...
There needs to be more creative commercials like this
There will be, Jenna. I'm planning to put together a Retro Decade Revival Project. Our goal is to bring real entertainment, true talent, pure originality and diversity, old school and more back into the public mainstream, starting with the 1980s. Soon there will be more and more creative commercials like these nowadays in the near future.

OMG I remember these commercials, the McNuggets, I used to love them, I thought they were so cute, I miss these days, the 80s were a wonderful time to be a kid.
Man I wish I was born while those commercials were still out

it was my favorite restaurant as a kid in the 80s and early 90s... my favorite food, with nice toys, beautiful characters and colors everywhere... + i played in the kid park in the restaurant, it was GREAT.
Showed this to my 4.5 year old. Realised how lucky I was to grow up in the 80s lol
That's mayor McCheese. he's a classic character
Action Game Master I remember seeing a statue of Mayor McCheese at a restaurant near the beach
Anyone know who did the voice of Mayor McCheese? I feel he sounds vaugly familiar.
Melissa Cooper Mad hatter
I love you McDonald's
@@bradbradthebrad While Ed Wynn voiced the Mad Hatter, I’m afraid it’s not possible for him to voice Mayor McCheese. You see, he died in either 1965 or 1967, which was before Mayor McCheese’s debut. I reckon another actor provided his role.
I like soo much these commercials and i love soo much Ronald and his friends :D
I grew up in the 2000's and dang i love these
Me too
Reminds me of Saturday mornings. They targeted me so good when I was a kid. So magical
11:45 - “You’re not McDonald’s! Outta here!” 😆 🍔🍟🥤
Good old days, Saturday morning cartoons and McDonald's commercials.
Omg, this the hotcakes part with Birdie is the cutest thing ever!!! (:(; I wish commercials were still cool, like this one!! (;
I was watching a morning weekday tv game show. The name "Ronald McDonald" appeared on the screen and the contestant must guest what his/her partner is giving out by saying the clues. The partner said,"red hair, clown, big macs",and the contestant trying to figure out didn't even know.
Wanna go back to 1985? YOU CAN! With this novel: THE TRUSTY BUTTER KNIFE: An '80s Adventure!
If only we could go back in time and enjoy the simpler life of the 70s and 80s.
I miss the 1980s so very much
The hamburgler looks like Ziggy from lazy town
Well other than looks, They both like one thing. they are kinda similar!
ZIGGY’S BURGERS ARE MINE.
It makes sense since he's partially a puppet..
Emma Rose UFHWJSUDHQJUDHW- BAHAHAHAHAHA-
Thank you VERY much for the work you did to compose these old commercials. I actually remember some from my Saturday morning cartoon days.
My 12 year old thinks that their slogan "Its a good time for the great taste of McDonald's" Should make a come back & stay.
I miss Ronald 😢
Yeah
I wasn't born when these commercials were made... but I can feel that heavy nostalgia.
Moe H. I think it has something to do with the remnants of this era being prevalent in the restaurants- the ones with playgrounds especially. One of my local restaurants had paintings of all of these characters on the wall (including the fry guys, which I hadn’t seen anywhere else besides these commercials) and I see pictures all the time of the old seats that looked like burgers with eyes.
@58 seconds, watch Birdie's left eye specifically. I still remember this from my childhood. Omg, such good times, (;(;
That Scrooge Christmas party with McNuggets one was adorable. ^^
Of course the chicken McNuggets are boneless, that is because they are also chicken-less, lol
Thank you for uploading these! Such a beautiful world.
RONALD MCDONALD I LOVE UR RESTAURANT SO MUCH MAN!!
Hope he sees this
@@jizzyboof8166 lol
1984 to 1985 would be the twilight of King Moody's tenure as Ronald, but you've clumsily intermixed a number of Squire Fridell's spots which came later.
“Dramatization not actual size” damn I was really hoping for 6 human sized chickens in my happy meal
I love Mcdonalds and Mchicken plain and Ronald and mac tonight
I love this characters and good commercials, the news commercials sucks
True
Yeah now today day have cartoons I don't like it
I miss these old McDonalds commercials it brings back memories
@11:06, I can die happy now, that chicken Mcnugget has a tiny drum set. Oh my god, I really can't. How Adorable & funny, (;(;(;
I loved McDonald's commercials. Early on I could appreciate the work.
They were entertaining.
Rarely did we ever get to eat this.
I miss Grimace please mcdonalds bring him back!!!!!!!!
I can't believe I remember all these commercials (minus the Japanese ones lol) I was only 2 in 84 and 3 in 85 but yet I can't remember what I did yesterday lol
Sounds like you and I are around the same age. I think I recall a few of these from my youth. ☺
80s McDonald's is the best and nostalgic
From ‘It’s a good time...’ to now ‘I’m lovin’ it’
How times have evolved
I used to love the prizes in the Mcdonals kids meals. The transformers ones were awesome
The toys were cool back then. My son don’t like the toys on their lol
Nowadays you never get these commercials anymore, me a person born by 2003, I never got to experience the old commercials, they don’t do these anymore
Those windup cars were awesome! Probably the best happy meal toy of all time, next to the Fraggle Rock cars.
i'm loving it and come on make it mac tonight
The weird moment when Hamburglar was suddenly a little kid instead of an old guy.
Jonothan Thrace yep irk they had to redesign him again
They had to make him look more kid-friendly
Jools Harmes When did people get so wimpy
I don't think he became a kid. I think he jhust turned yonger or somethink
the old hamburglar died from heart attack after eating all those burgers and his kid took over.
11:18 the hamburger touch i think thats best episode at Ronald McDonald Miniserie :-) 80s Gold times
Yeah, even for a cringe-worthy commercial, that one was actually surprisingly funny! :)
Yeah. Plus the most interesting fact about this commercial is that the hamburglar’s voice actor Charlie Adler reprised his role thirteen years after it aired.
I love the chicken nuggets!! They should bring them back
The entire McDonald's roster was great, some may have been bad guys, but they all got along and had fun at the end of the day. I'd love to see McDonald's commercials be more like these being aired today, these are way more effective then the bland stuff they show now. 🙄 😒 😑
Time to head for...
Golden liiiiights!
“With the fun shape of Honey Comb you never know”
See, these commercials are so wacky they catch my attention. That's how to sell a product
The decade of the Happy Meal
2:13 as the wild clown flies over the gates
So majestic
when i think of sam the eagle i think of america sings from disneyland and that time period still exist
I can not wait until I stumble upon a 1980s portal that will produce the leap...home.
Back in the 80s it was all about the SUPER SIZE!! now some of us 80's kids ARE super size xD
Basically the consequences for overeating
Oddly enough, I’m craving a Big Mac and some French fries 🍟🍔
a pack of 20 is perfect for a midnight snack for @joeysworldtour
Joeys Cleaning Lady yes ur right
11:50 King Midas reference
@Jason Zhang no
The lego toy in the happy meal was my favorite and the basket ball commercial I love legos and basketball
I would really like to see them on tv, i may expent all the day watching this commercial :'v
I always loved the one in at 5:37!
Ronald: I'd say we BEAR-ly made it back!
Grimace: Bear??!!
(laughter)
Used to have a plush toy of that eagle.
Ah! Good old days!
Parties parties
12:11 TOUCH MY FACE!!
its a great time for a great day at Mcdonalds and its mac tonight and come on make it mac tonight
Why did they decide to stop Ronald McDonald from advertising the commercials?? I have admit I really miss the clown on tv!!!
lol Ray Kroc is a clown
Michael Reyes Kids nowadays don't find clowns appealing
Yeah i guess because of clownaphobia!!! Lol!!!
I miss Mac Tonight on TV!
Michael Reyes In 2003, debated started with the company if they should continue to use these characters, or spam the "I'm Loving It" campaign. The latter option was chosen, and the McDonaldland characters were phased out. :/
Birdie's VA was Russie Taylor, who also voiced Minnie Mouse and the triplets in the original Ducktales
My favorite is 'Wild About Cheeseburgers" at 4:46.
2:05 Who's the voice of Sam the Olympic Eagle, the mascot of the 1984 Summer Olympics?
My guess is voice acting legend, Frank Welker.
Gramace has gotten to be my favorite
I never new that McDonald's was this popular my mom has always said to me that I would hate it but when I went in I was hooked with their fries and burgers also their McNuggets and yummy pancakes but after a while we never went to McDonald's anymore then when 2016 began we went back it was odd that was the day my dad told me I sickened him because I refused to put on pants that were so not comfy
Hi, im here to remenber you that you wrote this 3 years ago ;)
The chicken mcnuggets are so cute. Things were much more simple back then. I miss those days.
I prefer these corny fantasy driven style commercials than the modern boring trend setter style commercials you see today.
You can literally solve world hunger if you have the cheeseburger touch
11:49: Hamburglar's facelift, and Charlie Adler's first time voicing Hamburglar before "the Wacky Adventures of Ronald McDonald".
Yeah, I just noticed that! XD
This advertisement plays a pun on King Midas' golden touch.
Mark my words, one day these ads will become memes
Anyone remember those slide puzzles with hamburglar and ronalds faces in the playground at mcdonalds
Thanks to mr whitey for taking the good times away.
still love mickey-d's, but the 70s-80s were definitely their the "golden" days!
Why am I feeling nostalgic for times I didn't exist in
Make me so hungryyy

RackaRacka improved a lot on their videos since the 80s
Does any of these collections have the original "Do You Believe In Magic" commercial, with the line "Hamburgers that talk, chicken McNuggets you can take for a walk"? ISTR it coming a lot earlier than the 1992 ads.
@8:51, I like that Cool Toy Cannon!
i too have the hamburglar touch commercial its the one when hamburglar was made new
Birdie sound likes Minnie Mouse because she was voiced by Russi Taylor. R.I.P. Russi Taylor. 1944-2019
Farkin' hell, all dem puns HAHAHAH

MoBro it actually was a cartoon. Not sure if it was in the 90s or 2000’s through. But I used to watch it at a friend of mines place
