If you pressure washer is a belt driven washer, than you should be able to pull water from a buffer tank. If the washer is direct drive then most likely you will not be able to, and in that case will need water pressure from the property. GPM should not play a factor in this, it’s all about which type of pressure washer you have. Belt driven or direct drive

I always wondered why people say never leave the pressure washer run without squeezing the trigger. Cuz it will mess up the pump. So what if I’m washing a house or roof or driveway by myself on a job and it’s a far way away and I need to stop. Do I need to run fast as I can to the pressure washer and turn it off before it messes anything up? I’m not sure how other people run a business by their self without someone by the pressure washer turning it off fast. I’m just starting up and trying to figure out what everything on the pressure washer does. All those in and out hoses. I got a brand new north star and it takes so many pulls to even get it started. Is there something I’m not doing right to get it to start on first pull? Wish there was like a small electric motor that cuts it off if you let off the trigger and starts up once you press it. But a gas powered one. Or remote start or something to where it makes it easier on the machine
