    I think the blue beads are more dense than the liquid in the bottle when shaken, and the white beads are less dense, but to explain the beads coming back together after a short time, I'm guessing there's more to the liquid than meets the eye. Something tells me it's a combination of two different liquids that, when mixed together, have a density between the blue beads and the white beads, but when given a chance to settle, have different densities outside the range between the two different coloured beads, which then force the beads back to the middle.

    let's say that 2 non-mixable liquid have a density of x-2 and x+2... the white bubbles have a density of x-1 and the blue x+1... when you shake, the 2 liquids are temporary mixed into a mix of density x so the blue bubbles sink and the white float... when the 2 liquids separate again one is denser and sink and the other is less denser so it floats and the bubbles come back in between

    7:30 - white and blue objects clearly have a density below and above the liquid; but I guess there is indeed a liquid mix which later separates as well, and into an even higher difference of density between two phobic liquids.

    I think it's because the beads sort themselves out before the liquid does. It takes a bit longer for the liquid to sort its density out.

    To say the Klein Bottle has "zero volume" is incorrect. It could be said that it has "no USABLE volume". But it does indeed occupy space.

    when it's slightly warm, the density differs between different colored beads than when it's slightly cooled down
    kinetics of shaking the bottle of liquid adds just enough heat to the liquid to affect the density of the different colored beads to change differentially

      kinetics of shaking the bottle of liquid also ups the internal pressure, which affects the different colored beads with different density slightly over time
      after the pressure returns back lower, the beads return to their previous place in the middle strata

    The nut undoing itself (see 3:20); would it try to tighten if the setup was held upside down? That is, does the vibration make it try to climb against gravity?

      Propagation of nut depends on direction of vibration. We often perceive vibration as random because it goes too fast so we can't identify its harmony or direction. But it's very organised. So the nut will always travel in the same direction compared to the system.
      You can reverse direction by inverting the vibration.
      The position compared to gravity does not matter.

      @@benoit-pierredemaine3824 I see, not gravity but clockwise/anticlockwise. So if the setup in the video was turned over, the nut would still climb (so try to tighten), but only because of the direction of the thread and vibration.
