Do you care about your privacy and security? Opinion: I don't think most people do. If they are getting a product or service for free, they don't mind giving away personal information to tech companies that they would NEVER give to strangers in their personal life. CRAZY!!! Thanks for watching :)
👍🏼 Agree fully! And it gets to be a bigger pain with each update! Thanks for the tips! 😎✌🏼
Yes I care about my privacy
I have to say one thing though, if you don’t make that much money it may seem like a good option. The more money I’ve made the more services I actually chose to pay for.
Worst part I found with android is that it seems you can’t really buy apps anymore. At least Google has removed the search feature for paid only apps. In fact I made a Public post on googles website in regards to this issue and they immediately locked it. Luckily the “like” button seemed to work still and has been slowly getting more clicks.
I’m slowly transitioning from Gmail to protonmail in Sweden.
The fact that I even need to do this is sickening. Thank you!
1:54 It's certainly possible. Using tools like O&O Shutup or editing entries in the Registry, GPs and Microsoft's own tasks inside the Task Scheduler. It's certainly not a "click one button and you're" done but it's possible. Or add something like a PiHole to your network and get a blacklist which contains the MS telemetry addresses.
This becomes a thing for experts at some point. But glad to know it’s possible.
Very brief, crisp, easy to DIY & to the point video. Thank You
At work we have no choice but to use Windows. But people's personal computers and laptops should be running Linux. It's become easier to use now. It's more customizable for security, and you're not being tracked for advertisement by the developers.
Privacy and Security are my first priority. Thank for information.
Thank you! That is great information and I went through my new machine as you covered each step.
Thanks for the video. I haven't done anything about protecting my privacy on my computer yet. I'm still on Windows 10 so I'll look and see if you have a video for that version. I've used a lot of your videos to learn Windows 10. I only got that version when I got a new computer. I don't care for change so I'm usually one of the last one to get an upgrade. Thanks again for sharing your computer knowledge.
Yet another excellent & informative video from TG! Thanks! 👍👍👏👏
Thanks for the great info👍🏻.
I really appreciate your vids and watch them every time you release one. I also care about security. On a different topic, as far as Windows 11 is concerned, I'm holding off until there is some compelling reasons to upgrade. I'm an operating system junkie, love and hate all operating systems pretty much equally, but love playing with them. Usually I upgrade quickly to new MS operating systems. But usually there's a compelling reason to do so. It seems that Windows 11 is bent on pulling out features and calling this ... new. Want to move the taskbar? Nope. Want to use full screen start (one of my favorite features in Windows 10 and Windows 8), nope. I'm not usually a hold out on operating system versions, but until there's some compelling reasons to upgrade to Windows 11 - I'm sticking with 10.
Thanks for the info. Very helpful. Do you have any recommendation Clear browsing data on close?
Good privacy video. Thank you.
Thanks for this. I do care about privacy & security
Excellent advice.
Love your videos. Do u have a video on how to delete one's online footprint. Thx.
Thanks dude.
0:00 - Hi TG. 👋 6:50 - 295th thumbs up from me. 👍 7:05 - Cheers.
Hey @TechGumbo tysm for these please keep em coming, on another note when I make changes such as above I am not logged into MS does that matter, does anyone know or can help out-cheers
Informative video 👍
If you install "something with Linux" instead of Windows or MAC OS, then you don't have any of these problems, it can be that easy if you want. Linux is an absolutely good alternative for most private PC users, you just have to find out more about this topic and you're good to go.
Can you do a video on how to get a local account?? how do i go about doing that?
Settings -> Accounts -> Your Info. You have an option there to change it from MS one to local
I used 10 for me and fun you'll be nice reading
Thanks for the tutorial. I trust Microsoft but not third-parties.
just uninstall any cloud apps
also... don't trust microsoft
This goes back to Windows 98. With each new release Micro$oft got bolder.
I’m still using Windows 10 because of my Laptop version. What should I do ?
You can bypass Windows 11 security checks by changing registry and then proceed with installation
Ecosystem Utopia is the best project for those who are looking for security and anonymity.

I did not upgrade to 11. I chose to use a secure application for the Utopia ecosystem.
REMEMBER - Windows 11 is still in BETA mode, its not official openend, this is only until arrond 3e part of 2022.
especially, before one can use Windows 11 for FREE, conditions are set on the hardware that YOU have to purchase for this.
This is completely different with Linux and a totally different consept, no matter how old or new your computer is, there is always a kind of Linux that can be installed, to be able to run Windows APPS from there via a Windows Simulator APP.
If you want to get rid of this whining, install openBSD and SIMULATE EVERYTHING that can be there.
This is UNIX where one installs a graphical shell separately called X-Windows.
Now comes the nice thing, OpenBSD can function both as a Server and as a Workstation at the same time (better is always separate, but not necessary) but you preferably need 64GB of memory to function properly.
An Intel Network Card is further required, for the rest it does not matter at all whether it is Intel, AMD or ARM, and you only have to change your hardware if you feel that it is too outdated.
Why bother trying to do this? Just use linux instead. I recommend fedora linux
