Currently I'm 8th overall.
I have big braking problems. Locking of the wheels.
I was studying your brake data in this video.
You brake 100% short and then you release to 70% and quickly to 0.
Im some corners you are still braking 8% when approaching the apex?
I only brake in a straight line to prevent blocking, but if I can copy the data I see on this screen I can brake going into the corner by only holding the brake a bit.
And I see that I must have patience when applying the gaspedal..

So as long as it is my 'own' physics, I can actually be within about half a second of confirmed aliens! Makes me want to redo the physics now as I'm not totally happy with them anymore (not just because I'm no longer top 3)..

You're right, but it can't work the same way on a monitor because you're focusing on a single picture which is right there in front of you. In reality you're looking way down the track, far beyond the halo post, so each eye looks past it. Hold your hand edgeways in front of your face and read something; if you focus on the hand (equivalent of focusing on a single monitor, where it's part of the picture) you'll see it opaque and clear as day. If you focus on the text, or whatever else is in front of you, you'll notice that your hand almost disappears and you can read everything quite comfortably.
look at the gaps on the scoreboard in the end. Two tenths of a second up :o
