Earlier this month I met up with a few other enthusiasts to redo this beast of a siren. I met Chris Brewington and Nick Metts for the first time, and surprisingly Ian Tate joined in as well whom I haven't seen in forever. It sounded just as good as it did since the last time I was here (which may have been almost four or five years ago I think). Sometimes, Evansville tests funny or the sirens don't catch the tones so I was hoping it would get stuck in attack like it did a couple years ago. Unfortunately, we weren't that lucky, but I might try again from time to time.
Evansville has been replacing some radios lately which you'll hear in my scanner audio. There's now two systems that activate with two-tone and DTMF signals. This one has the older radio and listens for two-tone.
Enjoy, and as always comment, like, and subscribe for more. Thanks!

By far that's the most THX-sounding siren ever
The audience is listening (and probably taking shelter as well, lol)
LMFAO
Lol
“THX intro at full volume isn’t real, it can’t hurt you.”
THX intro at full volume:
lol
This sounds like an ACA P-50 when it’s starting up, but then takes on its own sound once the rotors reach full speed.
Wrong
very incorrect
@@kayderrobh5931 shut up
not really. i little bit. but it a high pitched siren
I agree with them
this is one of my favorite sirens I love the sound
The entire city of Decatur Texas has these sirens.
Got to love the sentry sirens lol
that is one of the rarest sirens i think
I know that was one year ago, but no, it is not rare.
@@Thunderbolt_7026 I’ve never seen one
what a beauty
You came back to it!
I went to Evansville once. Me, my grandmother and my family were picking up lumber. We drove past this siren. And we also drove past the other Sentry.
What street was it on
Love this siren
Almost killed that poor bird omg
What a beast.
Wow that things rotor is spinning fast
It sounds like it is using a vf drive with the way it steadily increases speed at the same rate then suddenly reaches running speed rather than having a curve that starts sharp and smooths out nearing full speed.
VERY VERY LOVELY
They need to fix the screens on the horns
bkriegel95 what are the screens for anyway?
Pretty sure they are there so birds don't nest in them.
They're for flying debris during a tornado or other situations. Protection from the choppers.
@@StormFlareRecords for birds don't make nests inside the siren
Takes 11 sec to wind up
12
@@CentralOHSirens ok
@@CentralOHSirens noice
It’s actually 12 secss
How many DB's?
DSRX can you film the 10V1T???
The 10V1T by the fairgrounds near this siren? It's on my list, in fact I tried recording it before but the test was cancelled. Ian Tate has a recording though.
Ok.
it sounds like a high pitched ACA P50

I feel like it's supposed to explode.
aren't those the strange toned ones?
Yep.
10/15 port I believe, but correct me if I’m wrong
Robert Thomas no those are other sentry sirens. This one has the unique 10/15 combination
Okay. So it's definitely not 8/16 because that would just sound like a Sterling M-10 (8/16 config) and I do believe it is 10/15 however.
Is the motor 40hp?
Yes
motor 40hp?!
cool siren sounds ACA P50 amy love ACA p50!
have you done the 3t22 in Evansville
There are no 3T22s in Evansville. They're all Sentrys.
but I think I did see one i seen it beside a bridge when I went to chuck E CHEESE with my dad but it may be a sentry
DSRX100 what's the website to see testing schedules in sirens
Mr Goomba Tam Official there is no website but if you want to know when a certain place test their sirens you can usually find it on their webpage
Yeah theres a 3t22 on Evansville, ur right
How loud is this
131 @ 100ft. speaking from experience they’re EXTREMELY loud. wear hearing protection if you go to one
sounds like a 3T22 like the 500-SHTT and the b-series thunderbolt 1003
One I’ve my fav sirens
what's with all the cancellation
These sirens are usually tested weekly. So they cancel out the signal so it doesn't do the full, three minute blast every test.
@BrandonLe126 i know its already 2 years ago but the answer is because these things can cost alot of power, so that's why they test short.
There is one in midwood Brooklyn New York City
It sounds like a pitched up p-50 or Cyclone.
**p -50
@@pandaant they share the same rotor and stator
But this siren is not an 8/12 port siren like a p50 but it is a 10/15 port siren
@@yourlocalretard582 its the same port ratio
Short alert? More like a noon blast
The wire passes the helicopter before the powers are working
The same port ratio and exact pitch as a Decot (de-cko) Red Arrow
What port ratio?
10/15
hello!
Sounds like 10/15 port
That is correct, it is a 10/15 port siren.
Are these still made
You can get them referbished other than that no
Yes they are still being made. Sentry has them on their site.
This could do hi lo if it had shutters, which they could obviously add
Sentry 10v2t-3s has got shutters
thats gonna explode
cuz its to LOUD
0:20 *_THX_*
The audience is listening ( or now deaf whatever how you want to say it)
that sounds like my Mobil director I have in my country but smaller
*director*
I mean directo
mobil directo's are normally 10/12 port
What? How? There’s only two active, Pottsville and Milwaukee.
thats actually 8/12 port imo
It reminds me of an air raid siren for some reason
Ryan's Sirens It is an air raid siren
This is me 7 months later (obviously) and yea, I didn't think logically • _ • My siren intelligence and logical thinking has come a long way in seven months.
