Me too, but I do know why. Largely the same reason that I like to see musical and theatrical performances in small venues. It feels more intimate which in turn makes you feel that you are having a more personal experience, the atmosphere is better and usually much friendlier and more humorous, you feel a much closer connection to the players/performers, you feel more welcome and valued by the people who are taking your money off you - often the staff are unpaid/low-paid volunteers. That's enough reasons isn't it!? :) I had a great week at Glastonbury once but that was because I met some lovely girls, it had very little to do with the stage performances.
