Beloved Dog Swallows Owner’s 30th Anniversary Wedding Ring

Marsha Baker freaked out when she realized her 30th-anniversary wedding ring was missing from the dresser. All signs pointed to Ember, the rambunctious 2-year-old goldendoodle, as the main culprit. Turns out, Ember swallowed the ring. An X-ray showed the ring in the beloved dog’s stomach. Thankfully, the ring is back in Baker’s hands after the veterinarian performed a gastrointestinal endoscopy.

Not always. In some cases an object can lead to an obstruction, which needs to be fixed surgically or it's fatal. Always bring your pet to the vet if you suspect they ate any objects. The ring looks smooth enough, but I can see why the vet chose to remove it via endoscopy just to be safe.
