California Teen Elisa Chaddock wasn’t looking forward to the start of her sophomore year, because she felt self-conscious about the size of her nose. Erandeeny Valencia, another teen from California, wanted to change her cup size before starting college. Both of them visited plastic surgeons. #InsideEdition

I went to school with a girl that got a nose job after sophomore year. She was about 15 or 16. Her parents let her get the nose job but only if she paid for it herself. So she saved for over a year and came back junior year looking amazing, tons of self confidence, and pride because of the fact that she paid for it herself. Plastic surgery isn’t always a bad thing if you do it for the right reasons. And the fact that she had to pay for it herself forced her to spend a lot of time and late night shifts thinking about whether she really wanted the surgery. And it turns out she wanted it for the right reasons.
This is great. It makes me think that the confidence was purely from her determination and worth ethic. The new nose was just a permanent reminder of her resolve. 👏

I used to get bullied for my facial features. Once I got out of highschool no one said anything negative about them anymore. It was almost like I grew into them. People will find one little insecurity and latch on to it to make themselves feel better. It’s cruel.

The thing that concerns me about getting breast implants young is that your breasts can still grow in your 20s. I was flat chested as a teen and wanted implants. But I grew to a DD naturally in 20s. So glad I didn't rush into surgery.

the boy who got his ears pinned back made me so sad!!! my dad grew up with that same exact ear shape until he also got them surgically pinned back around the same age, because of bullying. whenever i see this ear shape, i always think of how adorable and unique it makes people look. i wish people weren't so cruel and didn't bully what was simply different to them :-(
My brother's ears initially looked a lot like that boy's. But as he grew, they seemed to shift much closer to his head and didn't stick out at all anymore. Had he had them pinned, I think they might've wound up looking weirdly flat. Maybe sometimes, the answer is not plastic surgery but time - at least with children.

I have a similar "bumped" nose like the first girl. I haven't seen much people in my hometown with a nose like mine, so I think it's a unique trait and I'm satisfied with what I look like. She's a pretty girl; a shame people around her teased her for her wonderfully unique nose
Shame that people praise her for getting plastic surgery instead of maybe considere the option that going to psychologist could help her see how beautiful she is and keep her nose just the way it is

Sadly I know the pain that could come from this. I too am thinking about getting surgery definitely lived a hard life only got made fun of in middle school. I clicked on this thinking i would see heartwarming stories of kids who survived horrific car crashes but got terribly mutilated, and then had plastic surgery to repair the damage. Plastic surgery should be reserved for people that actually need it

If the first girl just took all the insults in her stride and just embraced them the bullies wouldn't get the reaction they were after, and would just leave her alone.
It made me BEYOND upset to see same aged girls be ashamed of her nose. It made me, myself insecure. I felt I was called out too even I wasn't... but, in the other hand it made me grateful to know that I don't live in a repeated envirement. I hope no-one else felt the same way! 🤧

I remember a kid kept bullying him so I put him in the hospital. Nobody bullied me again through elementary or middle school. nobody bullies me now either because I exceeded them in most criteria. No surgery needed, just ignore them and improve yourself that way, you will become superior to your peers.

But the target just then internalizes the tease. Maybe they start out pretending they don’t care, but if mean siblings or school mates begin to bully, it becomes a pernicious obsession. Sometimes just surgically fixing some area will free their minds.
Most of the children featured here actually did need the surgery they got. So the bullies were wrong to bully them for it but it definitely was something that needed fixed.

And also I have definitely less breast than the last girl, and I would never put anything there to please anyone and I'm totally fine with it. So no, it was absolutely not necesary. The only surgery that was necesary was that of the girl with the broken nose, but the rest was only for cosmetic purposes.

I actually have this problem as well where I was playing soccer and got hit in the face by the opponents arm. As a result, I’m not able to breathe properly from one side of my nose, but I got used to it.
a lot of times breathing is actually impaired on at least one side after a traumatic injury to the nose. that's the most common reason for rhinoplasty after a broken nose

I was shocked when I saw this video title, but when you hear of kids' being bullied, it's understandable (although very saddening) that they would want to do this; years of being teased like that would strongly affect almost anyone. A cruel world.

It's terrible that they've been bullied. My concern is they would still be bullied and called plastic. =/ so unless bullying is addressed, it's a tradeoff of which bullying you're more comfortable with.
I hated my nose too when I was a teenager, but now I think it's the best part of my face. When you're that young, even your perception isn't fully developed. I hope one day as a society we will look back to this plastic surgery era with embarrassment.

I know that people will disagree with me on this one but the first girl with the “big nose” obviously became so much happier after her surgery. She was bullied everyday and the argument against kids getting plastic surgery is that it’s permanent and they will regret it, but I’m almost positive she won’t.

0:24 as an indigenous person I find her nose absolutely beautiful. We have a lot of high nose bridges in our community and me myself having a large nose I find her very beautiful
STORYTIME!!: When I was in High school(14 & 15 specifically).. I TRULY wanted two things done SOOOoooOO so badly: 1st off, my chin. I wanted a chin-job bc kids had bullied me on & off, across states & different schools(we moved a lot)for it bc I have a pretty significant dimple. Kids would call me"butt chin" "Robert Di Nero" "fruit loop chin" etc etc. I was also bullied for being fat. I even overheard a girl that I thought was my friend Freshman year, saying that I was too big to be wearing the shirt that I was in(I was a lil chunky maybe but not rly fat). The second thing that I wanted, was implants. This was the early 00's, the time was all about big boobs, Pam Anderson/Daisy Fuentes/Playboy models. I had a bf then & both he & his dad were big boob obsessed. I just wanted to feel good about myself & in my skin. I wasn't flat chested or anything but I just felt like they were in-between, which in my eyes wasn't good enough. I literally was FIXATED on plastic surgery. I felt like I would never be happy until I had those two surgeries done. Fast forward to now: I am in my thirties. I work out now, not to be skinny or take up less space.. but to be STRONG & challenge my mind/body. I take pride in the things that my body can do for me, rather than just how it looks. Around my early 20's, I started to realize that my look is exotic. I have dark hair, hazel eyes, tan skin & a dimple chin.. it's now my favorite attribute. I used to dislike all of the things that I now adore. For my breasts~ Thank GOD I didn't get implants lol. I lift weights & have toned up.. I get a chest pump(it's real)which doing things like raises & chest presses has lifted my boobs & made them fuller. I like them :) lol. Also.. I cannot IMAGINE doing pushups or chatturangas in yoga/running with big ol silicone pieces weighing me down. YIKES! Also everyone now coming out on breast implant illness. Everyone seems to be getting those suckers taken out. I won't even buy non-organic fruit lol, I can't imagine having a man-made object inside of me at all times. You have to get new implants every 6 years too, hell to the nah. Just my take... I am entirely a different person than I was in my teens. Sometimes you grow in-to yourself & out of the insecurities.. the bullying fades away. Best of luck to everyone struggling, it gets better.. I promise

@@CurmelRozlen it sort of does though, i have a broken nose that i got from doing sports and it does make me very insecure but ive never been bullied for it because i feel like i have a strong personality to make up for it. Right I literally emailed and contacted a Miami surgeon and he said he would prefer me to be 18 so I have to wait till December wen he could have literally just did my consultation and just scheduled my surgery in December 😕like why do that wen I literally have all the money now .. btw I’m doin the (BBL liposuction procedure)

Well in my religion, we can't just change our body for our wants except if it's a need so i didn't get it but growing up now I just make fun of myself & say i hve the ears of my dad & found out tht other artist hve big ears too made me a bit more happy bout it.
