  • Baby Sloan was born with a non-cancerous tumor that was affecting her nerves and facial muscles. Her parents sought the help of a vascular surgeon to treat their little girl. In a series of procedures, Dr. Milton Waner removed the tumor. Dr. Waner also treated a little boy named Murphy who was born with a venous malformation on his lip. The procedure to remove the formation took two hours, and at the end of it, the doctor was able to report to Murphy’s parents, “Everything went perfect.” #InsideEdition

@@cryptic_Data Thats good to know! I grew up through Elementary school being bullied, and knew what it was like, so I never wanted to see anyone get hurt or feel sad, so even as a child I didn’t like being mean to my bully’s and ignored them (in Elementary the two girls who did, only really hit me and shoved me, along with laughed at me. But not much insults. In Middle School it was only insults and talking behind my back close to me) so genuinely if I seen you getting bullied as a kid I’d stick up for you and wanted to be your friend. Also my dad has told me to not let bully’s get to me, and be a nice person because you’ll get through like successfully and the bully’s wouldn’t have a good life. You don't have to teach HIM anything - you don't even understand that this happens because of OTHER children not having been taught much about kindness and acceptance...and furthermore, why not getting surgery to change something once and for all, instead of having to go through the same kind of confrontation over and over again? This has nothing to do with giving in to bullies - only perfect looking millenials came up with this nonsense - but sometimes, even the one who gets bullied doesn't like his/her appearance!
So what? Acceptance goes both ways - it can also mean accepting someone's decision to get surgery!

I never had any major insecurities until I was 10 and a girl in my class said: “I could land a plane on that forehead” that statement crushed me and as everyone laughed, I just stood there silently trying not to cry. Now I’m super insecure and don’t like photos. I wish people would think before they spoke sometimes. Small comments like that can change someone’s opinion of themselves instantly.

Most of these facial problems can cause more serious issues as the kid gets older. The large lip can continue to grow and affect speech and eating, if it hadn't already. The facial tumor could eventually affect her eye sight, speech, eating, breathing, etc. Facial clefts can cause issues in breathing, eating, speech, eye sight, etc. Just because it's called plastic surgery doesn't mean there isn't a medical reason behind the procedure.

Ooh Lord, I feel for these people! My second son was born at 35 weeks and while in labour, I was terrified of what was going to happen to the baby, he was 6 and a half pounds at birth and had to stay in the neonatal unit as he became jaundiced and needed the lamps. You feel so scared for your baby and you aren't in control of anything which is doubly frightening. The babies in at the same time had some serious problems and hearing their alarms go off was heartbreaking. I think about people going through this all the time, I was so lucky but some aren't and this is a heartwarming video about success stories, I hope they're all well. Oh no the wee boy with the elf ears, what a beautiful child, children can be so cruel! Simo(don't know how to spell it) is adorable and God Bless that surgeon for doing it for him!
