i mean, i think i probably would’ve been a little embarassed if i’d gone swimming and my mum and sister were screaming crying over me. not saying they _were_ being embarassing, if i was the mother i’d probably be terrified too! but you have to look at perspectives. as a teenager you value your parents trusting you with independence and he probably didn’t see the issue, in his eyes he’d just gone swimming!

I could totally relate to what you went through, I had lost my daughter in the supermarket and I was frantic, but my oldest son had found her underneath the fruit stand where she was hiding at. She was under there eating some fruit and I was so happy to find her safe and sound, but I was mad as well as relieved to have her back safe! When the store found out that she was missing they automatically closed the doors and they started looking for her, they had also called the cops but by the time they arrived she was safe and sound, they told my daughter to stay with your mother. My daughter told them I was but I got hungry and I wanted some fruit to eat, then she told them my mom won't buy me some fruit so I got some myself! By then I got mad because I had some fruit already in the shopping cart and I told her that she had to wait until I paid for it, but she was mad at me for telling her that she had to wait that's when she helped herself to the fruit. The store told me that I didn't have to pay for the fruit that she ate and they were so glad that she was alright. But yeah that was a scary thing that I had to go through and I know that it's something that people have to go through and it's the hardest thing that anyone has to go through when they lose a child and I pray for the families that have lost their child/children.

I know this is an old video, but here in Brazil we have a technique of sorts: whenever someone finds a lost child, they clap and the other people around start clapping as well, so if you've a lost kid, you can just follow the bunch of people clapping and find them.
I always thought this was common practice in the whole world, then I found out it wasn't because I saw news in English mentioning the clapping as if it was an amazing/inventive thing (we've done this since I remember) lol

We got a little suspicious and decided to ask a lifeguard after 5 mins. Apparently, 2 girls aged 10 went missing. They had a hotel right near the beach and went out by themselves early in the morning. We had news that we could go in a slight bit as one was found but the other was somewhere missing on land. We never heard about the other girl so even now, me and my mum are worried about what had happened.

Ik how important this is. I was apart of a mass look out for a teen my age when we were at the dunes. My family and I never gave up on looking for this girl who we didn’t know. I kept seeing the life guards drive up and down and jetskis went into the water as I kept watch while my family was trying to keep the family calm. Like 3 hrs later I spotted a girl off of the trails and I screamed r u lost!? She told me no but I told her to come with me because her family was looking for her and she was confused she looked back and saw she was all alone. I brought her to the life guards and I watch as the gaming reunited. I was granted 3 yrs free access and free snacks for helping and diligently looking for the girl.
