More than actual practicality i prefer the bulldog beacause of the sound, the ifv sounds like Pieces of paper beeing launched at High speed
I agree
its bullfrog lol
death from a million paper cuts
Bullfrog being amphibious, hitting instantly and being able to fire at every direction is a pretty good thing still though, ontop of the firing style.
When a car has more armor than a half track.
Allied op
Bullfrog wins cuz he’s here for me
On April 1st, you should compare the ore collector units!

A killer combination would be running this at 2x speed without headphones.

IFV in RA3 is an Australian...in this timeline
Mirage Tank are French, No battle fortress, no english sniper. Allies completely gave away their one of the best non-tech based choices.
Chrono leggionare gone? Yeah I can understand.
But who in their right mind would make police forces replace GI?
For me the best timeline is Yuri's revenges expansion
@@Kronosfobi it's because Einstein didn't exist this new in timeline that means no Paladin Tanks and Guardian GI was erased
@@gomi5463 He did exist. Allies still have prism tech which was invented by Einstein (Prism towers, mirage tanks)
He was ''killed'' after a conference to prevent him creating chronosphere.
Thats why in RA3 there is no Chrono leggionare, Prism Tank or weather control device.
But GI soldiers, Battle fortress and british sniper existed without his interference on the military. Technically they should have existed right now rather than a police force replacing militia, Mirage and Chronosphere tech existing AND even upgraded from their Einstein counterparts etc.
and no nucleae bomb
For all those saying 'but whatabout Striker!?', this is supposed to be a basic AA vehicle test. The Striker is a T2 unit. The Mecha-Tengu 'technically' fills this niche, but only in Air Mode at which point it's more air superiority than anti-air.
Sure, but the problem is that The JB did make comparisons between units of kinda different categories, like Kirov (vanilla RA3) and Giga Fortress + Harbinger (Uprising), but no Century bomber which is also from vanilla RA3.
Or with Super Tanks video, where there was no mirage, but that robotic thing from Uprising.
I think that Striker could have been there so we could see what is the difference between tier 1 and tier 2 AA.
I just love this game! It's exciting to see people still playing this!
1:55 Literally heard the twin blade said:DON'T LAUGH AT ME!
that with Natasha was amazing, she makes them kebap! :)
I would love that Bullfrogs could shot ground targets like the flak trucks. I mean, imagine those cannons against infantry...
Well it would be ineffective just like flak trooper as he does low DPS against infantry
Which is surprising, as in reality flak is quite effective against infantry... not commonly used tho
C&C: Generals quad cannon would like to know your location...
@@flak8842different damage type, flak troopers have highly reduced $h!t dmg for a reason.
Bullfrogs have high rate of fire and overall perform better against low-armour/low-health units such as rocket angels (which btw are marked as “infantry”)
I love your content JB
Nice vid
lol thanks to your vid now I now I know that Agent + IFV = killable, lul
I love the bullfrog for the aesthetics.
Nice 👍
huh, i always figured the bullfrog would be tougher than the IFV, mainly because i believe the latter is a bit faster too.
bullfrog can shoot while moving. It is good when you run into enemy air accidently.
I mean, multigunner can too, you just have to use reverse move
@@defballerAnd Bullfrog do it easily and run with full speed
bullfrog has splash damage. just like flak track from ra2

@@kampfer91 what u talking about. Flak truck was beast. Probably best anti air unit in the game. 5 or 6 flak track could wipe out hordes of rocketeers.

I wish you compared them to stationary flaks, both soviet and allies
Bullfrog is here for you
From what I've heard, javellin ifv is better vs ground than air so having base ifv was a fairer test.
IFV upgrades are only good when you need the damage type. IFV+infantry's cost makes it a pretty bad idea in an all round situation.
Bullfrog: Haha, stupid allied car. Bullfrog is best.
Groundforces: appear
Bullfrog: Chyort.
8:19 the ifv with a spy is pretty damn strong
i tried to freeze the shogun executioner and use it and it's uhhhh...try for urself
Bullfrog can fire while moving which is a huge advantage
I think IFV can shoot while moving, but only straight ahead. Its rate of fire might be less, not sure.

Hi jb
Could you test the ifv against Air units (such as the kirov) with 3 variants, one with a javelin trooper inside, one with a cryotrooper, and one without anyone inside.
This would be great to find out which is the best anti-air variant for the allies
Its the cryo legionaire
@@tacotony3274 Alright, thanks

Yeah buddy I think Bullfrog would win this round
Flak 8 I gotta disagree. I feel like the hydrofoil has a higher DPS than the Bullfrog. The splash damage from flak might make it better at taking down heavy Air units though.

@@jb_jumbo Awesome, thanks!
there is just one thing thats intrasting: javelin IFV vs bullfrog.
I know flaktrooper IFV is pretty similar to bullfrog, just a bit weaker
like at 4:55 ? , exact same dmg
@@Sergeilol20 those are flak troopers:P
@@thedarkdragon1437 right, my bad sorry.
Bullfrog is better for defensive style player (more and splash damage)
IFV is both Anti-Air and Anti-Armor but not much HP and light armor (I mean original IFV not infantry in it)
Ps.I'm not native speaker
IFV is Anti-everything like the Kane's Wrath Super Units (MARV, Hexapod and Redeemer).
Also the Imperial Ore Collector can kill a Bullfrog without much hassle (it has the single weakest vehicle weapon in the game), it helps that the Bullfrog can't fight back, but using the Bullfrog defensively, your only using half the unit if you need defenses in AA your better off with either a Bunker from a combat Engineer with some Flak Troopers, or a Flak turret,
since some clever use of a Bullfrog and you can do some stupid things, for instance if a enemy vehicle group is lacking AA launch a few Tesla Troopers into them and have them spread out and activate their ability and their relatively safe since most vehicles can't run them over, the Bullfrog and IFV are the idea of playing/working smarter not harder personified.
Bullfrogs are mobile Soviet flak tower, they are great “areal denial” unit against enemy air units for as long as you position them properly and utilise their high speed.
Now I'm wondering what happens if you put a Soviet or empire engineer in a allied turret?
They just turn into repair vehicles

Must a rocket soldier get in multigunner
I play with Soviets and riseing sun depending on the map. I've never really got into the allies. I find it harder and less fun to play as allies. Can anyone who prefers allies please tell me why?
Variability I guess. They have Strong Airforce and Strong Navy with different compositions.
They can either head on directly with the support of the cryocopters OR they can wear the enemy out with vindicators.
They can also use Century bombers to destroy an enemy base OR they can use them to paradrop soldiers to create distraction for their real attack.
While on the sea, Their ACC has EMP bomb. Its more than enough to turn the tides, you might say, On both sea and land warfare.
While Japanese relies on Amphibious units and mass production, Soviet relies and hopes for head to head combat.
We can see the styles from just their protocols alone.
Allied protocols in a nutshell:
Freeze,Bomb, Airforce Upgrade, Money, ghosting shit.
Imagine the variants you can use. You can spam the bombs on the backside of your base, freeze them, then chrono them to your enemy. Basically faking a nuke.
Soviet protocols are more direct. Which is why they are having problems agains Allies when Protocols kicks in but not so much with the Japanese since they can tank the Empire's units.
Empire protocols revolve around increasing or defending Units and their stats. While also giving them a self destruction upgrade, makes each unit deadly even after, well, destroyed. Especially for Allied players.
Thats why Allies have the attraction for players who like to control the battlefield,
Empire for the players who like to dominate/have a grasp on entire map,
And Soviet for the players who just want to blow up shit when they attack.
Despite having the cheapest units, Soviets rely on strong attacks Unlike Allies who can easly fight a guerilla warfare.
@@Kronosfobi thanks. I play it every day but in "skirmish". I want a pc (after lockdown) so I can play online.
With Soviets I can build a strong well defended base. I like their air and ground units. They have very good anti air. I can keep 3-4 ore refinery going under heavy defence but then later I use the drednaughts and rocket artilery. I prefer not to use apocalypse tank. Instead I prefer hammer tanks. I like using the drones and fast units and filling the houses with 20-30 flack troopers early. The sea units for soviets are shit apart from drednaught. Sometimes I make a crusher crane and make 10 kirovs if I am in a war of atrition.
I have a seemingly endles war of atrition myself as soviet vs Warren on rock ridge. I must have clocked many hours on that. I always wanted to build such a strong defence that a bruital ai couldn't gain ground against me alone.
I prefer Soviets for land and air. But I prefer riseing sun for rushing the map and navy. I play with both equally vs medium-bruital ai. Riseing sun is weak against airforces (for me)
Allies have nice fighter jets and stuff but the bullfrog and flack handles them. Riseing sun wastes a lot of money defending angainst allies air force or zahna/kirov.
I feel the Soviets and riseing sun are ballanced vs eachother. I find the allies slow to build and frustrating to power electric. That's why my allied campaign isn't finished.
@@nelotharen8599 In skirmish, you can turtle as long as you want since the AI is mostly defending rather than attacking all out.
In online however I found out pretty late, which you can see from these videos as well, Players dont turtle or spend too much money on defenses.
Instead they build an army which is suitable for both attack and defense.
I highly recommend you to use crasher cranes on bullfrogs and hammertanks on mid game.
I leech away Bullfrog weaponry to my tanks so I have both AT and AA same time which doesnt crowd large areas so I can easly control them in waves.
Also I get some of the cash back thanks to the cranes.
Apocalypse looks good but they are easly killed by any long range units or few anti tank infantry. It doesnt worth the money good.
I highly recommend on building swarms of twinblades separated as 3 groups and attack from different angles on a same base using planning tool. So you can both avoid getting decimated random defense structures and units but also spread their attention.
@@nelotharen8599 try facing a soviet in uprising, just mortar cycle spam
The Allies are super broken due to huge developer bias.
In short: They get strong extra unit quirks for free, they have stupidly better stats for no reason at all, they get their endgame 'passive upgrades' since the very beginning of the game, they have better defenses and instantaneous building placement, they have a $h!t ton of utilities and healing to the point where they WILL actively heal both their infantry & repair their tanks at mids combat (do keep in mind that Infantry for the other two factions is limited one-time investment with pre-determinated lifespan that can't be extended). CryOPters, 1 Javelin is quite literally Kirov's worst nightmare. Best no-brainer Navy in the game, best no-brainer Airforce in the game that turns even pro-PvP matches into passive one sided beating where the none-Allie player is always screwed no matter what he does, best infantry in the game with none-limited lifespan.
They are great if you love low-stake easy wins. Neither the Soviets nor the Empire could trade effectively against the Allies, as the Allies would always have at least twice the advantage for the same resource investment: 2 peacekeepers vs 4 bears or, 1 Vendicator vs 2 or maybe 3 flak troopers or a turret that won't be ready in time.
What is this modification of the game?
Not a mod, this is Uprising
And where is the unit from Empire!? .. That doesn't count!?
Nope.
The Empire technically doesn't actually have a T1 anti-air vehicle. The Striker and Sea-Wing are T2, and the Mecha-Tengu falls under Air Superiority rather than AA when it's in jet mode.
@@Cyberc50x Ah, ok thanks!
It doesn't show veterancy stats...
Too bad 😐😐
I bet those bullfrogs will do better...
Base Bullfrogs outdamage Multigunners in AA, but if the Multigunner has a Javelin in it their about equal, but Multigunners are a bit deceptive when it comes to power, mainly since their turret works like the slots on a Epic unit in Kane's Wrath just you can change it out as the situation demands,
where as something like let's say the MARV effectively "kills" the infantry garrisoned in it since it doesn't actually have a Transport cap, so you can't un-garrison the infantry inside, but fully Veteran both are nothing to write home about, since while a max vet Bullfrog or two can become a nightmare for aircraft,
their practically defenseless against everything else, since a few AA units can shut down the infantry, since during the time in the air they are vulnerable to AA, just like Zone Troopers/Raiders when they use their jump packs or infantry a Century drops off, as for Max vet Multigunners it depends heavily on their turret,
but Bullfrogs get a bit better when paired with Stingrays, simply because Stingrays can keep up with them by being amphibious as well, but if using them on land mostly I'd recommend some Hammer tanks or stealing a Empire Mecha Bay and using Tsunami Tanks,
and if in Uprising a few Steel Ronin (Steel Ronin are quite handy against infantry despite being anti-vehicle since while they might not deal as much damage to them they do cause knockback on occasion), also, if the Mecha Bay is fully upgraded... well you just captured a MCV essentially, since they both cost 5000 (Mecha Bay - 2500, both upgrades ~3000 total).
must check ifv with javelin troops in it, it should be more stronger in the comparison with bullfrog
However after each attack it stops to recharge. Not sure but I think it's only effective for emergencies/ on high numbers. Thats why I for one never put any javelin inside multigunner turret or IFV. Can be wrong tho.
@@Kronosfobi nope you're absolutely correct. The recharge is so bad that evacing the javelin is more preferable. Just leave the javelin in laser mode and eject him when needed. I only put two units in multigunners engineers and spy. 2 spy multigunners will kill a Yuriko every time. She'll get one of them but the other will finish her.
@@Kronosfobi multigunner for sure become weaker, but with ifv it may be different
@@tails0420ify Yeah Spies are good at that but they are too expensive considering they also recharge and a player wouldnt be too dumb to attack your base with solely a Yuriko without any protection unless its a suprise attack.
Which again, makes that use of spies very very Situational.
I make 3 turrets and always put a peacekeeper into the middle.
By the way if you have an ally, DONT make them garrison their expensive units/commandos in any IFV / Multigunner turret.
Because Tesla troopers just make short ranged attacks that cant even race with actual tesla coil.
Natasha gets a range debuff if I recall correctly AND Yuriko basically cant do her combo on multiple ground units.
The one where she lifts them up and constantly switches between.
In IFV, it doesnt lift them.
@@haile19 They are the same.
One requires energy while the other is mobile.
Thus comparison is dumb, the bullfrog aside being a flak unit the IFV better with a unit riding shotgun in the vehicle
plus the bullfrog as any of the flak units does a small AOE and can hit multiple air units
both of units has same damage but the IFV has a bit more advantage due to being mobile Multigunner
Bullfrog is Amphibious Troop Transport with the Man-Cannon that'll use to flank enemy from behind and to send unit to difficult terrain with no access point
Multigunner IFV has several use to harass the enemy or support your allied vehicle
What is this game
I wonder how could anyone can play Soviets competitively
Mass production for the people
@@langleysenterprise5134Just like how the real world Soviet Union did it.
Why there are only two, where are the v chopter from the empire 🤔. You forgot one mate 😑.
Chopper is T2, Bullfrog and Multigunner are T1. The Empire 'technically' doesn't have a T1 anti-air vehicle since the Mecha-Tengu falls under Air Superiority rather than AA.
