@@daffamustafa VX choppers and mecha tengus does the job better and cost less and accessible very early, in competitive PvP, mass mecha tengus are always the rulers of rising sun early game, mid game has a mix of VX choppers and rarely some sky wings when tengus can't match the ground infantry, late game are either a few wave force artillery or shogun battleships.
some strategy utilizes Yuriko Omega which is the most powerful out of the three commandos since she can disable a structure/unit when she attacks them and has a very powerful anti infantry special, she also one shots air units. this strategy can essentially win you the game if played right.
King onis are just not cost effective and rarely if ever see plays, they do have some situations that they can be utilized but the situations are so rare.

@@red2fire2 Yes it is... for enemy Sphere does addition splash damage... Future tank can easily destroy enemy Appocalypsis or Oni Robot 1 v 1
@@tonnytn3094 its splash damage also hurts aircraft so you can technically shoot them down if you force attack the ground underneath.

One thing I've noticed no one in the comments mentioning is that the Future Tank can attack aircraft by either shooting at a close by ground target or force attacking the ground directly underneath the aircraft because its blast radius is so enormous that it can hurt air vehicles.
you need an elite future tank to do that but doesnt mean they will auto attack aircraft once elite.
Only some of them low-flying aircrafts. You can't down a Kirov or fighters with the Future, but you can down choppers. Basically anything that can be knocked down by the Shogun Executioner can be affected by this.
The Futuretank's ability to hit air units is just one little detail out of many not explored here. Apoc Tank can pull naval units out the water with its Mag Harpoon and instantly destroy them, and can simply roll over most ground units in the game. They can also fire while moving, so you don't even need to target enemy units with them - they'll roll over anything their cannons don't kill. The King Oni can Bull Rush through whole lines of infantry and vehicles, giving it AoE potential, and also physically knocks infantry back with its arms when it fires. I guess what I'm saying is, all of these units have special tertiary abilities and perks that would be super hard to compare in the test video.

The Future Tank does reduced damage when you force to attack friendly units. Under normal circumstances it actually does greater damage than the other Tier 3 armor. It will barely win in a one on one fight, but once you start amassing groups you can see how broken these things, they can win against other Tier 3 armor even when outnumbered, not even relying on their riot beam.
@Artuurs Z. Actually he is right future tanks against enemy tier 3 armor are far greater. Damage as he said is reduced against friendly units. And not only that the riot beam ability can anhilate the other tanks

@Daniel von Strangle But the Future Tank can one shot the Apoc with its Riot Beam. The only reason the Magnetic Harpoon has any value against AI Future Tanks is because the AI never uses the Riot Beam.

So from what im getting here, the Future tank in this testing video has been wronged very badly. It first of all deals less damage against allied units vs when its actually engaging enemy units so 1st mistake already exposed. Secondly the Riot beam its signature ability was deprived from it from most of the testing which is the reason why it was losing horridly. I know this because i played alot of red alert 3 and seen 4 X-1s winning vs 10 Apocalypses. X-1s also excel at obliterating bases far better than the other 2 could soley due to AOE and as was pointed out in the first problem its been wronged there. I know this because i like chrono'ing X-1s into the middle of a base and watching as everything disappears in seconds.
The riot beam doesn't work on allied units which is why it's difficult to use in testing. It would still loose against an apocalypse if it manages to get in with the magnetic hook. However pricing aside it's the best of the three overall if you have good micro. In one of the final challenges you can take out the two allied commander bases with just the future tanks you have been provided with (or at the very least heavily cripple them) with some micro. It's how you beat that challenge under par time.
True. But in actual battle, a group of at least 4 future tanks can decimate any armor, infantry, and chopper units provided the user uses its advantages such as the superior range

They are pretty OP understandable that they are Uprising only units... But they are so cool I wish they actually tried to integrate them especially since RA3 had that lack of variety of units in factions compared to RA2

Plus their special ability Riot Beams can be activated even if they are harpooned by apocalypse as long as the grinder treads doesnt touch them yet.

well yea cuz in normal terms their the most bang for the buck unit out there for the other 2 factions, while the allies are usually forced to go for quantity just to even think of winning a ground battle.

I thought that the future tank will be stronger than the ,,Apocalypse", but in fact The Instrument Of Doom is only significantly inferior in the fight against infantry (provided that it canât just be crushed) and slightly in the additional ability of this hybrid of the ,,Apocalypse" itself (from which he received heavy armor, dimensions and auto-regeneration) and the ,,Prism" tank (from which he received an effective anti-infantry weapon and the ability to attack through walls).
Actually if we consider special ability the future tank is better than the other two as it can two shot an mcv with that ability
thats why it has the Riot beam, its tutorial video literally shows it burning 2 apocalypses to the ground in 1 shot.

Apocalypse = Survivable/Medium basic attack (best at 1 vs 1) also auto repair gives it a marginal advantage in a 1vs1 scenario (magnet range is OP i use it to kill ships many times LOL
ONI = best basic attack / special ability is mostly usefull on initial strike (unless your up against apocalypse then dont the magnet will kill you) i mostly use charge on a single heavy damage dealer or a crown of infantry
Future tank = best at crowd control (1 vs 1 is the worse scenario), special is OP unless your up against apocalypse with magnet turn on (also this is a bad way to demonstrate the future tank [use a real enemy] the damage difference is different against friendly and enemy but still wont surpass the apocalypse tho)

A lone apocalypse tank can take on 2 future tanks and win if it uses its magnetic harpoon

@@thetsquared3754 whilst that is true, there is an issue with the riot beam if that an apocalypse tank has started its m harpoon attack, you can't re aim the riot beams, so if it manages to get its harpoon on before the riot beam attacks, you can't use it

Apocalypse tank is best for me since it can do passive repair (i don't know if other super tanks have it or not since i only play RA2)....
it can help for survive since building super tank is not cheap either....
I always use combination of some type of units for attacking rather than 1 type of units to minimize losing army......

Hold alt and click the desired command. Dont let go of it until you are finished ordering the units. Itâs called planning mode if im not mistaken

Without ability the Future tank loses, but the second the Riot beams come into play thats when things turn to the Future tank's favor

Riot Beam can't damage friendly units, only use against enemy. But it can one hit Apoc or Oni, even in number.
And yes Future Tank deals less damage to allies.

The apocalypse tank has a lot of armor potential and can withstand that laser beam of future tank's laser ability
And it's almost like a nightmare in numbers unless if you have a cryo copter to shrink them and being easily crushed
Apoc tank cannot survive a Riot Beam attack. Nor does it have much armor than the other 2 heavy units. In fact, Apoc tank even loses to FutureTank 1v1 or groups (except if Apoc tanks are Heroic)

Wait, WTF? I don't remember ever seeing the Allied Tank (At least I'm assuming it's from the Allies, since I know the other two are Soviets and Japs). I had it for the XBOX 360, so maybe that version was lacking units, but I remember the strongest Allies tank being the Mirage Tank.

Darell Arocho you need buy command & conquer red alert 3 commander's challenge for Xbox 360 or Xbox one if that game is backwards compatibility. So why use basic attacks on the future x1? This was supposed to see how the units do against each other with main weapons not secondary attacks. Regardless the apocalypse tank is stronger than the king oni unit. All you did was prove that by pointing out that in order for the oni to win it had to charge the tank which was almost dead to win vs the apocalypse tank took the oni down with full health using its grinding ability.
