Unlike Allies who have gained Harbinger and Soviet who litterally got the middle finger of the devs, Japanese had something that is accurate to their theme. Unlike Allies who have been boosted in every single way imaginable.
In terms of pvp matches, tsunamis are for crushing enemy infantries when they are in extra armour mode, guardians are for providing extra damage output for other friendly units that can actually do damage (allied infantry, mirage tank, Athena etc.). Only hammers use their cannons as a reliable source of damage.
Well if you had seen those pro players playing the soviets like Dimon he abuses the versatility of the cheap Soviet tanks. As for the allies, they always do a lot of macro play with their air units. The empire, for some reason they use a lot of mecha tengus and use the tsunami tank to harass the ore miner on water

Hammer tanks are best I mean the combinations with the leechbeams are endless. Need some anti air? Leech that bullfrog better yet give me that Hydrofoil cause we all know Hydrofoils for some reason shred air like Swiss cheese. Need some long range artillery? Atalareza Yuwono I remember doing the campaign for Allies fighting Oleg when he sends those Kirovs with bombs and you have to destroy them before they reach a city. Probably the most satisfying mission cause I stole the Soviet MCV in the beginning and when you got a base started making Hammer tanks with leeched Hydrofoil guns. Watching the Kirov melt in seconds from 3 Hammertanks was fun to watch

I think he messed with the codes or in a custom map for that bug. Maybe his Soviet protocol (War threads if Im not mistaken. For the tanks) is messed up? Because ALL tanks has the same fire rate.
If you can micro the they would perform very similarly fighting against eachother. The higher damage from guardian tank would make up for higher soviets health and Japanese ability would fix and defend units that are close to being dead making them the most durable in fight.
Pointing laser is broken thing on RA3 game and allies is just op, look at the javelin they spam rocket and do more damage and peacekeeper have much defense plus damage when they use shotgun, cyro chopter that can freeze your enemy and make em mini tank that can killed easily. one more thing, aircraft carrier that can stun all of enemy in area within few second... Just look how op allies are
I haven't played this game online, as I understand it, online is dominated by air units. If that wasn't the case, Tsunami tank would have been the most OP tank in the game. You wouldn't take that from this video, but Tsunamis are amazing. Their special ability(forgot the name) gives them insane survivability on the field. Hammer and Guardian can't even come close to what kind of damage they can survive. The ability gives them more armor, speed and regen while disabling the gun for a short duration. You can pull a damaged ones back or crush infantry in that state. It's also one of the best unit designs in strategy games ever.
Guardian tank DPS goes up a fair bit if you've got a couple of them using their spotting laser ability, and the tsunami tank has a brief burst of survivability with their repair nanites + giving them some field repairs. The leech beam on the Hammer tank is pretty meh though.
I'm not sure how being able to steal any one weapon from a unit is meh. You can have it steal weapon of an artillery unit or a mirage tank and it'd be unstoppable

If *any* unit (that is not plane) dies when the leech beam is targeting (doesnt have to kill it with the leech beam), that specific hammer tank *permanently* gain that destroyed vehicle's weapon. It's really hilarious to see when a hammer tank single handedly destroy the entire squad of MBTs with an Apoc cannon/mirage tank weapon attached, sniping everything with an artillery all the while have its own gun to kill whatever near it. Or just leech a tsunami tank's cannon and doubles it's DPS all the while still being the strongest MBT Oh yea, they can leech anti-air weapon too. You didnt pay attention while reading the ability, did you?
@@GachaLord No cause I was too busy using Apocalypse tanks instead, but knowing that now it definitely makes leech beam sound a lot better, cycle through your hammer tanks a few at a time get them upgraded weapons as you roll around.
@@QuestionableObject i too like spamming Kirovs and Apocs to annihilate the bots (Apocs usually with twin blades or migs cuz cryocopter is a bitch) , but when i'm bored i do all kind of experiments to see exactly how things interact with each others or just find out new unit spam. One of which made me realized conscripts spam couple with a few tesla troopers+base pushing against bot is actually very effective if the the bot isn't Allied. If you build 5 barracks and spams about 50 conscripts, by the time the first wave dies the second wave is already doubled in number

The tsunami tank is probably the best out of the 3 basic types : -It's the fastest out of them -it's lower attack is completely offset by it's stupid fire-rate, and it translates clearly in the showed tests. -It can navigate on water, giving it a multipurpose role and a mobility advantage -And lastly, a parameter which isn't shown here : it's the tank who got the lowest cost out of all 3, meaning even if 1v1 he might lose to it's counterparts (and not by far) from a cost-effective point of view he's still above them. The only drawback of this tank is it's lack of armor which makes them melt against units with heavy firepower, but said units would crush basic tanks either way, they just go down faster than their allied and soviets counterparts.
@Artuurs Z. yuff. It look like that guardian tank is greatly nerfed. The laser thing should have other quality like slowing enemy fire or make them prone to miss. Microing a guardian tanks is much more intensive than a hammer tank. Hammer can take care of themself, even have a fun with weapon grab. But guardian?. The only thing I see is that in defensive time, a stasionary guardian may pin point its laser while base defence blast their target. Put the skill on offensive would be waay bloody micro.

Hammer tank it's jack of all trades, medium in damage/fire rate, but tougher armor and leech beam make him more versatile.
Plus, if it destroy's an enemy with leech beam, it gains extra weapon.

if I am not mistaken the Allied tank is cheaper, thus individually it is weaker compared to other tanks.
They have the biggest bang, slowest firing rate and better armor than tsunamis, excluding the laser pointer effect. The micro is quite intensive.
