As a 6ft man, I honestly feel blessed
It is true that I was born in Spain and lived in europe my entire life. I live in the UK now, and a lot of young people are very tall and you can feel insecure even at my height over here but after seeing what short people go through I will always be thankful for my height.
Especially since I am asian (pakistani) and very few asians are over 6ft so I was lucky.
Short people are extremely discriminated against. We need to step up for them.

As a short man, my request to everyone is
    to
NOT blame those who opt for this surgery
    have experienced height related
disadvantages first hand. lt's literal social
    exclusion.
Don't blame the victims, it's the society that
    needs to be held accountable.
What boils my blood is seeing how half of
    the
"body positivity" movement is about obesity
and skin issues - both of which that can be
changed, however with shortness, it is
completely genetic yet shortness is looked
    down upon the most.

I like how you're looking at skin issues and obesity but according to you this is important. Many times obesity is hormonal and so it's skin issues. Stop looking at some body shaking like its nothing and then you're taking about change in mentality. Stop joking

Mohak, you don't know how much this video made my day. I have been insecure for most of my life, not due to height, but due to my looks, color, voice and physique. I used to really think that there was something wrong with me and lost the motivation to do anything - affecting my education and work. But once I realized that these are all societal norms and constructs, I started caring less about societal acceptance and that eventually built my confidence back. Although I still feel this alienation at times, I am in a much better shape now. I see that society has started to change, it might take some time though. And I hope your video reaches everyone so that people like me don't feel like we are some sort of aberrations and the so called normal people get educated

In school I was the shortest in my grade and not a single day went by without someone making a rude comment about my height.
Even other girls used to try to tear down my confidence but I knew that I couldn't let this get to me. A lot of times, it did but, I can't do anything! As a short height guy i am writing to short height people
People often undergo surgery due to societal pressures-when people mock or laugh at them. However, this doesn't necessarily diminish self-confidence. I've seen many people shorter than me speak fluently in front of the whole school. It's not about height; it's about confidence. I know that appearance can contribute to confidence, but mental control is everything.
You can still find a good partner around your height easily because boys aren't the only ones with short height; girls are too.
Boys, stop being distracted by these things. Focus on your body, studies, and improving your life to become successful. Eventually, when you have enough money, these things will not matter.
    Keep going, boys!

    @ibrahimaftab161 Před 3 měsíci +272

Being a thirty-year-old man of 5.3 height, I used to feel like a failure. However, in the last two years, I've come to believe that it doesn't matter because life is about doing good deeds, helping others, and living with someone. Marriage isn't necessary; you can live alone, change the world by helping others, and find someone who is truly deserving of your friendship. Therefore, height has no bearing on whether someone makes fun of you or tries to make you feel humiliated. I'm quite short(4'11") compared to avg Indian females. I'm short because of both genetics and nutrition. However, reasons could never resolve my insecurities around it. The issue of height has been brewing inside me, starting from the last year of school to college. I have even commited some pretty morally questionable acts, that might have stem from my insecurities around height. Although, none of them added an inch to my height, some ground rules and acceptance have definitely added to my peace of mind about the fact of height. I am yet to fully become immune to my insecurities, but for the most part, I'm a fairly confident individual now. For people who have similar insecurity, please remember that most people are too busy looking at their own issues than judging you. Take your time to understand that. Also, people won't remember for how you looked, but they'll definitely remember for how you made them feel. Not to promote people pleasing, but simply if you can show them that you're a confident, calm individual who does not judge and is neither bothered about it, they'll remember that feeling of peace you offered them. Rest assured, none of us can have it all. So, let's try and focus on areas we actually have control over and enjoy doing so.
One last point, if there's people around you who is mocking you for height, rather than it being an indication of your height, it is an indication of their immaturity that they still couldn't manage to move past someone's height in a sea of other issues to look at.
    Hope it helps ❤

It's important to remember that historical figures such as Napoleon, Genghis Khan, Julius Caesar, and Alexander the Great were notably shorter in stature, ranging from 5'4 to 5'6. This serves as a reminder that one's physical height does not determine their capability or greatness; rather, it is their character, determination, and leadership qualities that define their impact and legacy.

I really appreciate the fact that towards the end of this video you mentioned that this isn't just about men and their insecurities with height; instead it is actually about every human who is insecure about certain physical characteristics that are purely genetic and are unaffected by their actions. As a girl who's been subjected to the so-called 'female beauty standards' and spent years doubting my capabilities basis other people's comments and opinions, here's something to think about people, "Before worrying about things beyond your control, are you giving your 100% to the things in your control?" If there is one physical trait you cannot achieve, there are at least 10 other traits, physical, mental, skillful, professional, social, etc. etc., that you can work on (ofc without going through dangerous procedures and painful surgeries), and be a better human for yourself.

My height is 5.4 I was always a happy boy and never insecure or care about height. I used take lightly, never care those whom mock or fun about my height. It was like I was 17 or 18 when I proposed a girl and she behaved very rudely. She mock up saying shorty. That's for first time my height make me insecure. I was very disappointed and cry harder. I really cry a lot. I was literally crying and saying why god you make so small. After that covid hit and I started feeling lonely. I'm always a shy and introvert, used to love myself accompanies but that covid made me miserable. I started insecure about everything about my colours, weight, dresses, hair. At that time hair loss started and I become more insecure. I started made myself isolated from others and spend most of time on Internet. During covid my father retired from his job, he was a teacher. Post covid mid 2021 our college opened. I was depressed and I didn't want to go back college. It was December when our board exam happened. I was in panicked I had a vast syllabus and mentally I was so sick. I always a bright student. My middle class family have a lot of faith that I will be successful or something like that. I was confused and literally try to suicide. Later drop that and study hard for months and got the GPA5 which is like first class or best result in term of BD. After the board there was an admission war. My mother is a bed patient and can't walk without stretch. She always said that u have to be doctor and get rid me from this disease. I was still in the depression and there was a huge admission race. I got feared and there was a huge pressure from my family. I was afraid and exam was at door. I failed in medical admission exam. Whole family was in shock. Everyone started talking about my failure. My father and mother both was teacher and it was huge disappointment for them. Our neighbours and everyone make feel worthless. After that I have failed all my university admission exam. That time I try several time to suicide. I don't how I survived. Next year again appear in medical exam and top varsity exam and again failed. At that time I was completely broken mentally. At last score a mid mark on the gst which is a combine exam of 22 varsity, secure a seat in begum rokeya university Bd. I wasn't happy nor my family was. My friend with whom I used to discuss study are already on medical college or on top varsity, I only able to secure a seat after second time. I saw them uploading pictures or stories or dp kind those things that make me feel terrible. I was in much more depression. In of the admission exam there was a financial issue started. My families are live in village. Due to my exams they shifted to city and my father pension is limited. They used to pay for my tuition, home tutor as well ours other expenses. They was spending much more than my father pension. During my admission they didn't tell me about those expenses. They had took huge loan for my study. We were on debt. These got to know after exams finished. That make me more depressed fact that I haven't study properly and can't chance in any varsity. I became fat, ugly and depressed. I notice that I started to fear around people myself. At the time I have a problem on my ear and gradually it making me deaf. Not really deaf. Thats making me again insecure. It was in back 2023 mid. I discovered that I become so isolated that can't make a proper communication or introduction with other. It was Sept, 23 my varsity class open. At the first day I was really happy and exited. But there was a brutal ragging on vary first day. After that day I was in so much fear that want to quite the varsity. As per now our first semester done and the intensity of rage have decrease. For my previous insecure and depression I wasn't able to make a proper communication with ny new mates. And also for the ragging and my ear problem I fear to go classes. It was like Dec,23 a girl who are in hometown I felt for her. And proposed her. She was like 5.3 in height. She's like okay and wanted to meet with me. I feel insecure and don't know whether should meet or not. I think she will reject and mock on me. Anyway don't know why I'm blabbering this pardon me if it make u bore. I don't know why I feeling relieved. Now I'm investing time on myself. Focusing on my career, recently join gym and trying to get back on normal. Thanks to mohak sir whose videos inspiring me to do better in life.

Girls do consider height as a very important factor in guys. But as far as friendships are considered, it's your behaviour & nature that matters the most.
I've grown watching Harry Potter & Lord of the rings. Harry & Frodo both are known to be shorter than their peers. Apart from being great stories, both these characters made me feel a little less uncomfortable with my height.
Some of the greatest inspirations of my life are noticeably short heighted personalities. Be it Aamir Khan, Lionel Messi or Arvind Kejriwal. Heck, I used to dream about meeting Stephen Hawking some day, a paralysed guy who had the will to explore the world & discover the mysteries of physical nature of the universe. He wrote books & gave lectures all while being stuck in a chair.
Yes, i still do get conscious when I'm in public. I know people are judging me & not taking me seriously because of my short height. But having done MBBS gets me a little more respect than I would've gotten otherwise. I like helping people and consider myself as a good listener.
During my internship, I realised that there's more ways to help out people than one can imagine. Helping others out & being nice with them when the whole world is treating them inhumanly really means something. To both you and to them.
It's important for you to be a good human being. Everything else is secondary.
Don't try to impress tall people with shallow mindset, who looks down on you or makes you feel short by any means. They're really not worth your time or attention. If they were really good human beings, they wouldn't have cared so much about your height or made you feel insecure.
Tall good-looking man & a gorgeous beautiful girls make a small fraction of population. Not all of them are doing good. People want to look like them but not everyone care about what they really are as a person. Their lives can become as shallow as their appearances.
There's problems for everyone in this world, no matter how gifted they seem.
Find a way to work with yours, learn new things, maybe a music instrument, make music or memes or write stories or silly poems, read books or draw cartoons, play with kids or help out your neighbour. Find a reason to live and if not for yourself, go out and be the voice of voiceless people, be there for someone who's lonely, be there for someone who needs help.

Best thing about this documentary is that it also contains relevant research, giving it a different touch from regular NatGeo/Netflix type documentaries. Hope to see more in-depth research included as part of the video.

That's why I love mohak's work . Though he makes videos in detail about current topics , but he also focuses on the real issues no one talks about . And that's the quality a creator must have . Issues that actually affect people's lives need to be spoken aloud , usually they are sidelined by saying "it is what it is , and that's how things work " . But creating such videos truly expands the gamete of discussion about these less known serious issues amongst public . Kudos!

There was a time when people used to joke on their friends' looks. Nick names like CHHOTU, TINGU,MOTU,KALLU were popular. Even a good-looking guy among average people, could be called CHIKNE. But those were never hurting as the love and emotional bonding were strong. But time changes. Now people don't joke on friends just casually. People try to hurt others, even unknown people, by commenting on their appearance and feel satisfied to be superior. This causes emotional breakdowns and mental health issues. So now we need to learn how to stop body shaming.

I've been 168cms since almost 11-12th class and right now I'm 3 years experienced working professional. In my mind I have definitely sometimes felt bad about my below avg height(India). However, I chose not to be weak just because of this. My strength is my witty mind and spontaneity. Using this I've always whooped other's a$$.
Moreover, I'm intelligent enough to understand that it's pure genetics. My mother is 4'11 and my dad is 5"3... Comparatively I'm taller than both.

And to all those jinko rejection milta h apni love life me only because of their height then be thankful because they don't even deserve you. Work on yourself and be a better human that's it.
