Dodge is always like
"Is this the fastest car we have? Yeah take that engine"
"Is that our latest truck?"
"Yeah drop that engine in it"
still waiting on an AWD hellcat powered minivan.
come on, chrysler! you've done crazy shit with minivans before!
FWD stick shift turbo 4 that hauled ass, 5 people, and all their shit for a month's vacation, from the 1980s.
time to give us another nutty minivan. the MANVAN.
@@johnhufnagel As long as they call it the Chrysler Fire and Brimstone, I'm sold
Yeah we now need a gasoline powered dodge minivan faster than the plaid already!
Absolutely
I think it would be cool for dodge to do a tribute to the neon SRT and drop the hellcat engine into like a Dart or something stupid like that. Just make it completely unusable. Really re-engineer the whole thing to accept the motor. Definitely wouldn’t be popular but I bet they could sell 5,000 over 5 years.
The fact that there are 4 dodges on this list shows how crazy Chrysler is.
I wouldn't call them crazy, they just start running out of ideas so they throw their most powerful engine into one of their "boring" cars or trucks, it isn't a new thing and it isn't just Chrysler, Ford and Chevy have also been doing it since the muscle car era
@@en3myspott3d54 Putting a sports car V10 and a 700 hp supercharged muscle car V8 in a pickup truck is very crazy and creative, and Ford and GM have never done anything like it.
@@yungboicontigo9278 Scotty Kilmer fanboys have a below average IQ so you can't really blame them. I believe he recently reviewed a grand cherokee and somehow his video was actually pretty positive about the car, but apparently the car "needed" to have things like the water pump replaced at low mileage by the dealership under carvana warranty. Anyways everyone in the comments immediately assumes that the dealership didn't just replace the water pump to make a few extra bucks, no. There was definitely something wrong with the water pump. It's not like most Chrysler dealerships are greedy or anything.
@@en3myspott3d54 Ford and Chevy?? they have not done that...
That is why I am happy Chrysler still exists, otherwise the Hellcat engine would not be here anymore
I wish the truck I owned got at least honorable mention. The 1990 Chevrolet 454SS. I had a tremendous amount of fun driving the "pick up from hell" around Los Angeles with my surfboard strapped in the truck bed.
My pops has a suburban with the same engine.
So much fun. My dad had one years ago, it was all blacked out like many are.
Mega like it!! 💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽
When he got to number 3 I was thinking about the TRX and SRT10. And it dawned on me that he forgot one of the most iconic trucks off all time. I was obsessed with that truck when I was a kid!
Really looking forward to Doug’s gmt400 obs Suburban review, he posted a preview on his Instagram.
I guarantee you there’s at least one person using one of those X-runners as a work truck for their LA area landscaping business.
My uncle 😂
More like hundreds of people. X runner work trucks are quite popular because they aren't as outrageously expensive like a standard Tacoma.
Bro i swear those landscaping people. I once saw a Ford lightning that was beat to shit and being used as a work truck.
@@shaquilleoatmeal2145 I saw a Subaru Baja work truck coming down Beverly Glen one afternoon and I damn near shidded myself.
I was about to say I’ve seen ALL of these gardening in LA
Can we get an explanation on what happened to “more Doug” like are you going to change the name to “less Doug“??
There already is a Less Doug DeMuro channel, but it's not what you would expect
@@RageCannon-tf3ob I love that channel
He said in comments many times that THIIIIIIIIS is part of his experiment. He will only post on his main channel for a while
that's a parody channel already
I think he doesn't use more Doug because he gets more views on this channel

You should do “top 10 cars that you wish would come to the US, that aren’t available now.”
GR Yaris
Suzuki Jimny
A kei car like a Honda S660?
Toyota Land Cruiser Diesel(and the Prado which is the baby LC)
Suzuki Swift
That's all that's in my mind. Keep in mind I'm not even American lol
Renault Clio V6
@Fastlane5.0 Sadly the SS died due to lack of advertising. I actually saw a Commodore in the US recently, curious as to how they got it over here.
@@12799MaDeuce I live in SoCal and I have been seeing a lot of Commodore's driving around.
Toyota Century and Toyota Hilux
I’m glad to see you included my personal favorite truck ever produced the 78-79 Lil’ Red Express. I’ve had mine for 21 years now.
I has the 78 with the interceptar 360
When I was a kid I didn’t realize that this was a factory truck. I thought that someone had done it as one off custom job, and I would occasionally see it around town.
Doug is the type of guy to write the password to his second channel In a notebook and leave it in Nantucket
I’m pretty sure he stopped uploading there because of all the mentally challenged kids that made CZcams poop edited video channels with similar names.
I’m looking forward to your Yaris GR review.
It’s a car that Americans are really missing out on.
Yeah. just like Holden’s.
@Not RickRoll 👇 Shut up!
@penguins Shut up!!!!!
@@GuestUser18 I believe Doug went to Australia to review the Holden.
At some point I wanna go to Sydney to drive the new Nissan Z and Hyundai Sonata N Line.
USA is getting the new Nissan Z and Europe isn't, so I'd say its fair.
Doug also forgot to mention the Ram SRT10 still holds the fastest top speed record for a production pickup truck, with it being 154mph.
the holden maloo beat it
@@mementoscuderia833 that’s not a truck
Remove the speed limiter and replace the offroad tires with street ones on the trx and it will beat the srt10 ram
@@blackice7408 the trx is awd only so that really limits top speed and stability, even if you can get it into 2wd mode which you can't stock.
@@mementoscuderia833
Full size pickup truck. Not a ute, not a crossover, not an suv.
Alright… I’m gonna say it. Commentary videos > Car review videos. Doug’s vast knowledge of cars really comes out in these types of videos and they’re truly addicting. Wish we could get 2 of these a week.
As a footnote to the Tacoma X-Runner: from 2001-04, Toyota made an even rarer S-Runner with the same design philosophy (lowered, RWD, V6, manual, optional TRD s/c). While the X-Runner came with an LSD, S-Runners came with an open diff, resulting in many of them getting totaled out and ending up in the junk yard. That’s unfortunately what happened to my personal ‘04 S-Runner 3 years after I sold it. RIP
How is it that the open diff made it less safe?
@@333krook open diffs transfer the power to the outside wheel on hard(ish) cornering which in turn lets the rear end loose. the fact it was a pickup and had virtually no weight on the back didn't help either lol
@@turbobricked5969 I don't find that to be the case at all. Typically an LSD car is going to be more tail-happy. Open diffs just spin the inside tire, making it much harder to get into a sustained slide.
@@jagtem the weight transfers off the inside wheel and on to the outside wheel. With less weight on the inside wheel, that wheel has less grip and is more likely to spin when applying power. basically yes an lsd car is way better at drifting but an open diff car loses grip way easier
toyota tundra supercharged in 07 or 08 option from the factory as well
I thought the Syclone would be first, 4.3 for that time was insane
Cant believe it only got 3rd
Its still insane 😂
Being compared to Ferrari and pushing exotics to AWD makes it #1. Also back when compact pickups were compact and based on what is one of the best looking pickups of all time. Those Rams are hideous.
I was 11 years old when this came out and it absolutely captured my imagination. I remember the ads GMC put out about it and it mentioned the drag race agains the 348 and the ad put it “the Ferrari was looking at tailgate the whole time”. I was floored.
Okay okay...this is how we'll decide it: Race a Cyclone vs SRT at say...Laguna Seca for 6 laps or Nurbuegring for 1 lap and decide the winner.
Anyone?
🔥🔥 I would add the Dodge Dakota R/T 🤩
*Doug walks into a bar*
Doug: “THISSSS is Doug Demuro”
I was partially expecting to see a HSV Maloo of some kind on this list. Oh well.
He hasn't reviewed it, but their prices are getting absolutely absurd. You can get a Hellcat for $100k less with an extra 100hp+
@@adelaideautowashes you might want to have a look at my uploaded vids then mate lol I've been for a ride in one 😉
@@adelaideautowashes yeah utes are sweet but there's no way I'd pay $300k AUD for a Maloo when a hellcat is $100k less
Maloo. Only seen one, know I need one. Badly!
Dodge is run by a bunch of mad lads. Even though I'm not really a fan of American car brands, I gotta pay respects to Dodge for completely maxing out all their vehicles with the craziest amount of power in each.
W
But that's the ONLY thing good about Dodge. Own one for a while and you'll be amazed how SHITTY they are. They use the worst, cheapest garbage for the interiors and they start falling apart all over after 4-5 years. Almost nobody makes crappier stuff than Dodge. They've gone down the toilet in the last decade or so.
Doug is just that very cool uncle who always buys you something when they come to your house.
Yeah right, probably cheap AF.
He actually is my uncle and he gives me a new Hot Wheels every time we visit each other.
A honorable mention: holden commodore ute/Maloo.
A V8 Muscle car with a truck bed.
Just awesome.
Tell me you're Australian without telling me you're Australian 🤣
@@mattb8830 Maloo was sold in some other market like UK under Vauxhall. I never heard that Falcon ute sold somewhere else other than Australia/New Zealand.
Yep,and good lookin too.
I think it was basically a GTO-camino.
I get compliments on my single cab SRT 10 everywhere I go. It's pretty rare to have a vehicle where people from all ages and walks of life show appreciation for it and don't hate so much. 🤘
Those Tacoma Xrunners were super cool. The TRD superchargers sounded great! I remember seeing one being filmed for a commercial back in the day and thought it was the coolest thing.
I came here to add that you could get a factory supercharger and it would rip pretty good... but if yo modified the supercharger like I did on my fj cruiser it would really rip like 340hp to the wheels.
Tundra could be had with the supercharger, as well!
I daily drive an Xrunner in the summer, absolute blast to drive.
I read Pat Bedard's Syclone vs 348 test in Car and Driver so many times that I can recite much of it from memory. So great!
It won the beer keg hauling test hands down!
I still remember the Car & Driver article pitting the Cyclone against the Ferrari. The beer keg hauling challenge was hilarious.
The RAM TRX is probably my fav but I like the 454 SS, Raptor (1st gen and 2nd), SRT 10 and the SVT Lightning (2000s one)
The Cyclone rocks, sounds utterly demonic when tuned and it looks crisp.
Lady Gaga drives one
Ricky Bobby: "I don't know what to do with my hands"
Doug: "Hold my beer"
Doug nearly fell over waving his arms for "CARS AND BIDS!"
I love how Doug says "old days, when they were gas powered" as if it was a million years ago. Hahaha. I just KNEW that the Ram SRT-10 would be the winner. Dodge wins again.
Ya dodge first to rust out
Go back to bed Sleepy Joe, clearly you've got domestics mixed up with imports.
@@isaac24 I have two dodge’s in the driveway that beg to differ
So.......... what was the point of your original comment? Yes, Dodge's (the 2nd gens at least) rusted out first, and lasted (the drivetrain) the longest. Minus the 2nd gen automatic transmissions, of course.
@@isaac24 Yep no rusted out fords or chevys of those years around here....lol
I personally would have added the Chevy 454SS!
That made an impression!
I remember joining this channel in 2016 and It’s been a hell of a ride for me I got to know every little thing about every little car and it’s all thanks to you. I wanna thank you for putting ur time and effort into every single video and I’m going to still be with this channel till I’m old hahahaha
Ill never forget the first time I saw a Syclone at the race track picking on Mustangs and Camaros
“Back when they were gas powered” ouch…
"Back from the old days." Ah yes, the old days of *check notes* 2020 with the TRX. Also, it's a shame people sleep on the Dakota R/T when talking fast trucks
I own a heads cam Dakota rt and they’re a great truck except the lethargic 2nd gear on all of them. Great drift trucks and burnout vehicles with how easily it can light the tires up even on 295 nitto nt05r’s. Also in the last two years me and boostedmotorsports have been the only dakotas featured on 1320 video.
Daddy Demuro the type of guy who have not tried a Nissan Tsuru from Mejico.
Ram needs to make a single cab short bed with the hellcat engine. It would be like a newer version of the srt10
Thank you so much for reigning back in the editing. The editing in this video is perfect for this content.
I remember driving a RAM SRT-10, and, obviously I had to test how fast it would do 0-100kmh (0-60mph, for those in the US) And, yeah, it was really impressive. However, it wasn't until a bit later that I noticed the speedometer was in mph, and not kmh as I first thought :P
I'm glad you've just committed to keeping the channel going for the next five years!
Saw a Syclone for the first time in person the other day on the back of a toy hauler, then passed it a few days later on a back road in my work truck. Incredible truck!
Lightning is my favorite truck EVER and as a 15yo kid in 2005 I was $2500 away from a 2001 Ford Lightning being my first car. I had my mom convinced it was was perfect which it was black on black BUT the dealer wouldn’t give my mom that extra $2500 she required for her trade. Absolutely broke my spoiled heart lol. I literally begged the sales manager but he wouldn’t budge sadly
I like the design of the Cyclone and the Typhoon most!! 😍😍
I had a 06 Silverado SS Intimidator, was incredibly fun to drive and absolutely bulletproof! That thing would burn the tires all day, would love to see a review of one
That one is rare, i've only ever seen 1 in person.
@@ej1025 spent 2 years looking for one, got extremely lucky, if it would have had less miles I would have offered Doug to review it
@@ocairydreke25 Even a regular SS would be nice, but it seems they are overpriced at the moment for good condition. Guess it's still cheaper than newer vehicles. I bet that Intimidator was beautiful.
I almost snagged an extended cab Sierra Vortec Max, but I couldn't get it in time. I'm so used to the 5.3, it'd be nice to try out the 6.0
@@ej1025 best truck I ever owned, the 6.0 LQ9 is a beast, full iron block and heads and extremely smooth, I own two 5.3’s another Silverado and a Tahoe , but the 6.0 blows them out of the park, if you find one I definitely recommend giving it a try, won’t regret it! Only reason I sold it was the 10-12 mpg and premium gas which had me filling up everyday at $110-$130
I drive the 05 yellow fever Ram SRT10 everyday as my daily and I absolutely love it. This truck makes driving a rush every time I go anywhere! Thanks for making it #1. Really is the most fun driving experience 👏🏻👍🏻😛 a couple times a week I get someone asking me if it’s for sale, but no one wants to spend what they’re worth ha
The Lightning shoulda been higher on your list, at least top 3, but maybe I'm just biased 🤘😉⚡️⚡️⚡️
93 SVT Lightning was Fords first performance truck and a true 90s icon. 5.8 EFI with 240hp...
Awesome video Doug. My number one is the lightning. I worked at a Ford dealership when it and the cobra race car came out. Those will always have a special place in my heart.
Super cool list Doug, I agree with a lot of your choices. I personally would have included the HSV GTSR Maloo if it fits your 'truck' category. That beautiful piece of machinery purrs and grunts like no other. Has some serious performance behind it too.
Lets be honest the syclone is an icon
Walks into a bar and proudly announces, "This is Doug DeMuro!"
man...i yelled WOOOOT! RAM SRT10!!!when Doug said it was his number 1💪😅
I said THIS and my video buffered before you said THIS and I was a bit worried you stopped doing that. But you never fail to amaze me with THIS😂
Dammmmn, that Tacoma photoshop looks sick!
The spoiler on the Ram SRT10 was just amazing
after watching doug's videos for the past 5 years i knew the order of the list perfectly lol
Story time about the SRT10 Ram, my dad had a restaurant next to a liquor store. The owner of the liquor store in 2005 ordered a SRT10, Ford GT, and a Z06. Me as a 9 year old will never forget him slam shifting that Ram up to 120mph on Central Ave! Rick, I hope you never changed! Great vid Doug!
Love the Lightning and I feel super lucky to have one! That FnF curb smash always makes me cringe 🤣😭😆!
Manual transmission makes all the difference. The X Runner seemed cool at first, then hearing that it's a manual made it extremely cool.
They are fantastic, with a few mods they drive like a sports car. I often compare mine to the experience of driving a G35 Sedan
Loved my XRunner. Probably the vehicle I miss the most. I had all the TRD stuff, the blower snout was machined down to fit the smallest pulley, 7th injector, throttle body, APR X1 management, bunch of suspension stuff. 12.8 ET! I traded it for a 2012 Mustang. Mistakes were made. They’re unobtanium, especially with the parts I had.
My #1 favorite is also the Ram SRT-10. The Viper connection is what does it for me.
Doug is the type of guy to go between the speed limit.
I don't think so...
Cooo
The raptor will always be my favorite truck. The day ford released the first gen raptor. My life changed. I could never look at any other truck the same. Then, when ford released the gen 2. That moment, I felt like a kid. I couldn’t stop looking at pictures and videos of the raptor. And now, I can just look out at my driveway and get that same feeling every time.
Some good, historic information. I’m not much of a truck person, but I respect your enthusiasm and the content.
I love this segment lol - I completely agree with your #1 and I work my ass off every day to one day have my own.
The fact that not a single Holden is on this list kills me.
Ute is a seperate class
Sorry, I gotta go with the Syclone and Typhoon as the greatest. To get that kind of performance back then was truly astonishing.
Great list! Definitely a fan of the 2000's Ford SVT Lightning & original Raptor, but yeah, the Ram TRX/SRT10 are beasts!
You made the right choice doug. I'm proud of you. Can't beat a Viper swapped truck
I always loved the SSR, at least the one with the bigger engine. Honestly I can't see why people hate it
It looks like a Prowler, HHR, and Silverado had too much to drink one night.
It was ahead of the times.
I love to hear "THIS~" for his intro
Loved the video Doug!! 👍👍I share your top three😁
Leaving my mark for the next five years , Ram Trx and Ford Raptor are some legends to look back to in the future 👏
Doug: “The TRX looks like it can go over every thing it sees on the road”
Me: … but it can…
One doesn’t experience self-transcendence, the illusion of self only dissipates.🎈
I don’t know what you sayin dawg.
@@STORMBREAKER_250 he's smoking a blunt I guess
Honorable mention, basically the 4Dr Luxury version of the lighting. The Harley Davison models in those years also had the 5.4l SC.
Gonna add another comment on the Chevy 454SS. Not that fast, but the return of the Big Block outside of 2500 and up trucks, had the look, amd was the dream of every High Schooler in the early ‘90’s. Such a cool truck
Mopar owned literally half of this list😂
Americans sure love gigantic oversized vehicles that can go at dangerous speeds. If only they had the driving ability to actually handle them.
So glad he didn't skip the Lil Red Express, I didn't think he knew of it. Dodge should make a modern version of the TRX with a short bed, pipes out the bed, 2 door, manual. Call it the Big Red Express.
Good choice for #1! I thought the Syclone would be #1, but I agree 💯.
Surprised that the Syclone with an s isn’t number 1.
First
Loser
Damn it
It didn’t load for me dang it
@T2 Animates does it look like I give a shit?
@T2 Animates don’t say shit then
My buddy had one of those Ford Lightning for his first car in high school that thing was a beast he put a better intercooler system for the supercharger did a pulley change and that thing was a beast especially because you have no weight over the back end so it just would smoke the tires
I think my favorite might have to be the GMC Typhoon or the Ford Lightning
You gotta love that despite all the changes in ownership Dodge still hasn't lost its identity.
Thank you for the content and no Goofy graphics
You nailed the number 2 & 1 spot, couldn't be righter!
My favorite will always be the 2nd gen lighting, my dad and I would do burnouts in his 04 when I was 5. Good times
Good list. The #1 is my #1 and the main one that I've been, courtesy of my cousin-in-law. He had the Crew Cab w/ the auto as his sunny weekend warrior. That auto was no slouch though. From a stand still, with a flex of the big toe, it was almost at 60mph in a snap. I have never felt such acceleration. up to this day.
Great taste, my all time favorite in #1 position :)
I had the 1985 Dodge Warlock. Basically a redesigned Lil Red. Thing was quick from 0-60. Not by today's standard but back then it was a beast
The trx is awesome, I keep seeing more and more of them around and I have always been a huge fan of the raptor but the trx just looks freakin sweet. It's hard to one up the raptor but the trx is so muscular looking and I love it
Dodge is the epitome of wild American horsepower and car design, they always go full send
The Chevy SSR is so funny to me. I didn’t know much about it until this vid but I’ve seen one in person a few weeks ago at my local o’reily, and I always thought it was gms weird forgotten pt cruiser truck competitor thing lol, but then he fired it up and I was totally shocked to hear a corvette sound come from it. So cool.
28 US marines pulling up in black Ford Raptor trucks. Helicopters landing. Ram Ranch is under siege!
All I can think about when seeing the SRT-10 is that video of that guy rolling it into a ditch lol.
The Chevy Colorado SS with the 400HP Corvette motor definitely deserves a mention. My friend has a mint one, it's a sweet ride.
Doug, are you there?
The V10 was originally a pickup truck engine. the funny things was that they took a truck engine and put it into a sports car. now you are amazed that they put a pickup truck engine in a pickup truck.
LMBO!
2000s trucks with ground effects was one of my favorite trends
My favorite truck is the 2000 Dodge Dakota R/T 5.9L regular cab with the Stampede package in bright red and 19” chrome R/T rims. I’d like to have one as a project truck someday with a supercharger and 6 speed.
Damn I've never gotten to a Doug video so quick lol
