They have a ready made fan base and this could have been a huge hit. But they may as well not bother to call it the Witcher at all. We all know that the source material and law is amazing. Henry Cavill was an amazing Geralt of Riviera. I stay watching because of him. All he wanted was for them to be truthful to source material, how hard is that. Let's face it Liam Hemsworth to replace him what a joke he'd not that good an actor in my opinion.

If you want some good adaptation of Andrzej Sapkowski's books there is a series called Hexer from 2001. The only minus is that special effects are bad and so is the CGI. But the rest is good

And just to clear the air Henry Cavill was ballistic because the producers of the show we're not staying true to the original content of the liturgy of the book The Witcher from the original author of the book.
As Henry Cavill is a big fan of original content from the book and wants to stay as true and faithful to the original content of the book in the TV series. And the producers of the TV show where probably putting in their own little shit about misogynistic and feminist views that are misogynistic toward mentor show men as misogynistic and toxic just to push their shit agenda about feminism and woke politics which have nothing to do with the original material from the book. Which I would agree with Henry Cavill on that one.
It wasn't faithful to the original material of the book and they were just putting in their little woke politics shit in it. Which had nothing to do with the book or the series. Henry Cavill called that out.
They disagreed with his opinion and they let him go because of it.

Without Henry Cavill in the show its not even worth watching, not even to give it a chance. Sucks for Hemsworth he decided to jump in that dumpster fire. Thats like someone offering me 10 million dollars to be a cardio vascular surgeon for a day. Sure, I'll take the money. I don't think its gonna end very well, but I'll take the money.
Yeah, it's like the Author never sold his franchise for peanuts for a game company, hated the games, hates the show and hate even more his creation, since he killed Geralt and Yen in the stupid way possible just to end it. Now that thankfully for the games his franchise got some recognition now and then he give some sh!t about.
