this opening scene hits a little too close to home 😂
Trust me, you’re not the only one!
So glad I found your channel! I've been getting so worked up over freelancing because I keep thinking it's overwhelming and scary, but your content really gives me some hope and gets my gears turning. I've been taking notes on each video I watch! 👍
I think this video is a MUST for any new writer. The ones who will be successful will follow your advice.
The slowly falling fluffy snow was a great special effect
Haha I love the “I’ve got it all down” guy. I’ve just got into this as a side career and I’ve ran into it quite a bit when talking to others
Everyone’s an expert these days haha. Keep me posted on your progress!
I love how dude was cracked open (😄). I could hear his behind sizzlin'. Thanks for another great video.
Number 5 is so me. I've been beating myself over and over again on niching, writing samples and designing the best proposals. Yet I've not send a single pitch! I should stop complicating simple things. Thanks Sean for the heads up
I dont understand one thing...
How are you not very famous on CZcams with many hundred thousand subscribers, or even a million subscribers, yet? I really see your every single video, even old ones as well (that come in recommendation) .. They are all so educating, amazingly helpful...
Yet I see only 38k subscribers.. Thats really very less no. considering you are "by far one the best" content maker on freelance writing...
Sean,
I love the content in your videos…. I’m just starting out, and find them to be entertaining and packed with pearls. They have a different feel to them - a ring of authenticity and frankness that I find missing in some other places. That’s all - just: thanks!
Thank you for the great advice. I am starting a career as a freelance writer, and I have found myself making several of these mistakes. Your videos are refreshingly straightforward, and I don't feel like I've wasted my time after watching them. Keep producing the fantastic content!
Love this video... One of my fabourites 😂 Thanks Sean
You give the best rants hahaha - so you're saying personalize it??? haha
Excellent video and great nuggets of information
A touching classic of the freelance tutorial.
Damn that clickbait image was on point.
love it
Sean, it may be asking a lot, could you do a video or a series of small ones that show how all these are actually done, like you did for the keywords research? That was super helpful.
So for instance, choosing agencies, cold emailing > a lot of them literally have the same About Us/ What We Do section, the words just spun differently - how do we go about personalizing? Cold emails, Job boards Dos & Don'ts etc.
It's crazy to me how many people copy/paste pitches. You're a writer! Write you're own pitches. If anything, it's another way for you to hone your writing skills.
I'm binging your videos right now. I want to be successful and I hope I can find the right path with your help.
Thank you.
Hey how’s it going?
@@zvezdavan Honestly, it's been scary. I'm better than I was but not where I want to be.
Thanks for checking up on me. I really needed it. What about you?
@@danielefosa1679 aye I wasn’t expecting a reply! I’m going to be starting my freelancing journey as soon as I’m done binging his videos haha.
@@zvezdavan good luck with your journey. Expect frustrations because they're inevitable.
@@danielefosa1679 ty! You’re going to get where you want to be. I have faith that you will!
I’m really new to this type of business, and would love the opportunity to befriend others in the freelance writing field. Do you have any recommendations for finding freelance communities? I’m so grateful for your videos! I’m also new to your page, but finding your advice extremely helpful. I greatly appreciate your time!
Wouldn’t following up too much make people mad.
You got some crazy acting skills! Love it!
Do you have a video or can you do one on how to build your portfolio or website to show clients? I'm just getting started so I'm hoping to build a good portfolio of my content little by little but I'm interested to know what it looks like, what do you send your client, etc. Thanks for this video, awesome info!

Track your outreach = great opportunity to learn CRM! Everything this experience - use it right.
Haha Saun this mail merge thing really get into your nerves
So. Much.
Great content Sean, can you make a video on how to follow-up clients in Emails? I'm an avid follower and subscriber of your channel and I'm an aspiring freelance writer. I'd really appreciate it if you can help me answer my query. Thank you in advance, More Power!
I’ll see what I can do!
What if you’re someone like me who doesn’t have a college degree and didn’t graduate high school, for reasons I’d rather not get into, here. But, you’re largely self-taught? I’ve been doing some investigating and it seems like having some kind of degree, college or otherwise, you can put your name to is super important if you want potential clients to take you seriously. Is this true, or am I worried about nothing? I’m willing to learn and bust my ass, but given that I don’t have any degree to speak of, in all honesty I have to wonder, am I just wasting my time, doomed to fail before I’ve even left the gate?
I so want to see that Tinder profile now 😳
ME TOO!!!

Hoooo boy, that UpWork vortex is real, lol. I think it feels "safe" for some reason.
I've written all of these down and posted beside my computer. Stupid mistakes stop now!
Seriously.
Check how your writing your proposal. I am getting decent writing work off UpWork but I do really only bid on my specific niche.
Fake Sean really need help 🤣
