I could really relate to your observations about the dark and light in life.Being a nurse keeps that truth about life very much present in every day experience. Wow. I know this is an old vid, but you’re right. We are doppelgängers. I’m super detailed and I’m obsessed w tiny things... ANYTHING TINY. I pick the most itty bitty flowers and leaves to press and put then behind tiny frames w scrap acetate. I was initially a creative writer in college... mostly poetry and prose . Junk journaling took over my writing time... but there will be a time and place I get back to it. You’re an RN. I became a Medic to put myself thru college, to become a zoologist. (Where I made slides of tiny specimens)! While I looked for specimens, I kept my eyes open for morel mushrooms! My favorite! The soak up the butter and garlic! I started journaling over a decade ago and got away from it for a few years. When I see some of the things you use, I want to call you and say seriously? I made the exact same thing! 10 yrs ago!! I even have a box of brass filigree cuttings that I use w magnets for closures! In fact. We might have ordered the same pack. Mine came w a random butterfly, a leaf, a few flowers! I have an illuminated manuscript journal (not vintage or anything) , I received as a gift I use gel ink and glossy accents to make it look real. It’s just cool...almost eerie how many similarities we have. I obviously adore your journals because they’re exactly what I love and envision creating. Only yours are SO much better! You really do inspire me so much. You’ve no idea how many creative mental blocks you’ve gotten me out of! If only you’d been around for my writing classes when my imagination froze!
