    As an owner of the reacto I couldn't be happier. It's an epic ride for a hard to beat price. It isn't uncomfortable in the slightest, chuck on some wider rubber (I run 28mm) and it's as comfortable as my endurance bike.

      Great to hear Jayden. I've just ordered one myself (force edition) and look forward to some new PRs. The value for money was too good to pass up!

    Wouldn’t the Madone have been a more fitting bike in this category? Same for the Foil?

      This is a most strange video I have ever come across regarding terminology -- I am sure that the manufacturers would be furious to have their products reviewed within "aero" category, especially Emonda as you pointed out.

    Your prices are way out of date. The Cervelo S5 Ultegra Di2 for example is now £8799 rather than £6999. Also you frustratingly give some weights but not others, and clearly don't understand that the UCI weight limit includes pedals, bottle cages and computer mount, so even the SL7 at 6.85kg without any of these things is in no danger of breaching that limit.

    I'm new to cycling, wouldn't the Foil be a better comparison from Scott?

    • @jacquesolivierv
      @jacquesolivierv Před 2 lety

      No , the foild would be in the same category as a Specs venge or a full aero bike . The addict RC is the light aero bike from Scott .. like the Tarmac , the Filante SLR etc .. but speaking of filante SLR , a comparison would be Scott Addict RC ultimate and not the 30

    Can pick up relative bargains buying used well looked after examples of top end bikes ie tarmac sl2/3, giant tcr advanced 2010 to 2012 model, cube litening super hpc or c68. I paid £560 for cube super hpc pro 2014 full ultegra, weighs only 6.8kg with my Bontrager xxx lite carbon wheels.

    Yes! First to comment. Good list, all out of what I want to spend on a road bike, can buy a very good second hand car for less money...

    Very generic (with exception of Willier and Merida), very typical. Where is the Factor Ostro Vam. The Colnago C64 or the Cube, just to name a few a lot more exciting bikes and brands!

    There is not even one rim brake bike in your list.....
    Pity because rim break bikes, all other configurations been equal are more aero.
    (lighter too).
    I'd also like to ad that all of them are Chinese made bikes under Italian, American or you name it brands.
    Bike industry in it's quest for profit has lost it's soul.
    Geting an reasonably and worth owning bike has lead me away from all these fancy companies. Probably the Merida is the most modestly priced and
    more honestly branded, since it's a Taiwanese product not ashamed of its origin. The same goes with Giand, but the Propel is not in your list.
    All bike companies that have outsourced their production to China while charging more and more for bikes of questionable quality and dependability(Sl7, has a threaded BB... Cervelo S5 made it to production with poor frond end and fork design) , while at the same time are enforcing the use of disk brakes, are part of the worst froad cycling world has ever witnessed.
    You shouldn't be a part of it.

    • @tinhatrancher904
      @tinhatrancher904 Před 3 lety +2

      Agree. I want a rim brake bike in Aluminium or Reynolds steel over any of these, price not with standing.
      All of my bikes are welded up in Taiwan. Excellent quality on high end models, especially the steelies. Scott, We The People(Bmx)..etc.
      Stay sanitized

    • @chrisdavis8399
      @chrisdavis8399 Před 2 lety +1
