A new concept I hope you guys will enjoy; this is a special episode of Weekly Dose of Aviation showcasing some of the worst landing fails from the series - let me know what you think!
10 worst takeoff fails next?
Yes please
love this slightly longer countdown/up format. Hope you can do more!
Luckily no one was injured
Love more content!
Terrible title for the video. No brakes, no flaps, fantastic landings. No nose wheel, that's a balls out, top level, well done pilots landing. Worst title for the contents of a video may be harsh but it is without a doubt better than the title for this video!
The Star Alliance airplane did one of the smoothest landings on a very wet runway. Many of these clips you describe as worst landings was actually a very good and normal landing due to an emergency.
with no flaps as well! 👏👏👏
yeah.. most of them are in emergency situation, which is irrelevant
without flaps, kudos to the pilots
Click-bait working well!
Hmmm
The fact that 1 car's tire can pop and cause a major pile up on an interstate where many many people die vs a plane missing an entire set of landing gear and nobody is even injured is insane. The amount of safety and consideration that goes into designing and flying these things is absurd but so welcomed
I mean there are quite obviously a lot of differences in those two examples. Though I’m sure it goes without saying. You are still right though. Planes are so cool.
Planes are designed slightly differently! Most of the time when they are in use their tyres (and landing gear) are not in use. And, when they make contact with the ground they have to be able to withstand quite a lot pressure/force (I don't know if that is the correct term).
Pilots are trained to deal with these sorts of situations sadly car drivers are not.
the amount of safety holes in the aerospace business is still abysmal, and our time will still be part of the primitive period of using travellers as baits to find and fill the holes.
Plane tires are barely used but I get what you mean
Everyone was injured.
😂😂😂
Mentally*
NOT JOE! HE HAS MANY MOMS LEFT TO PURSUE!
💀💀💀
🗿🗿🗿
Some of those landings looked pretty damned impressive to me.
The A340 landing, under those circumstances, looked very impressive.
Luckily no one was injured
this channel is known for negative waves, always “almost crash” when describing successful stunts , or “pilot fails” when describing mechanical emergencies.
Roger Rodger
@@HOU1996 Yes some of these are the best landings ever in terms of pilot skill, but they're still landing fails (e.g. failure of the flaps to deploy).
Ryan Air: Feels like an average day
😀😃🤣😅 🫡
Even the cabin flight crew were impressed
1:15 is one that I feel has been under appreciated since it occurred. That type on that runway with no flaps was an incredible display of airmanship that was likely to end very badly if someone else was in the cockpit that day. Those two performed incredible that day and the CRM was among the best we have ever seen.
your logic is very wrong, let the same pilot do it again, and for some meters and milliseconds, he may crash off the runway.
Pilots do their best, sometimes they profit from a lucky chain of coherent events, and sometimes, they get unlucky because of a single incoherent event.
@@MaverickRewind Sometimes the best player misses the easiest action, humans are not machines, and stress can affect people in a different way on different days, depending on what your wife's lawyer wrote you about divorce and seeing your kids
@@tomsawyer2112well that's an exception not a rule. A pilot who is influenced by his private life in any way is not meant to be pilot
@@plokoon4331 you are ridicule, they are humans, except that they think they are superior, and narcism, overly high self-esteem and lack of self-criticism are the devil's toys to make them commit fatal errors. If I have to fly, put my life in their hands and the maintainance crew, at home, everything is ready for my funeral. 😁
I would describe that as one of the best landings ever.
We're sorry but our driver wasn't able to deliver your package today due to:
SMOLDERING PLANE WRECK
Lmao
😂
WIIIIIIIILSOOOOOOON!!!
N1217A crashed while flying GTI3591 MIA-IAH carrying amazon packages
Ryan air as usual never disappoints!!!!!
Luckily no one was injured
Rather smooth landing for Ryan...
Think I was on that flight...twice
At Ryanair, you don't land, you arrive.
everything about ryan is sickning . i just added thier pilot to it
that jetblue landing was -hands- nose down one of the best ive seen
I see what you did there 😂
I wonder how serious the damage was and whether the plane had to be written off.
@@SwapBlogRU not at all. Reskin the bottom of the nose, fix gear, slap the fuselage, and return to service.
2:08 smoothest Ryanair landing
😂😂😂
😂😂😂☠️☠️☠️☠️🗣️🗣️🗣️
Lol
The pilot flying the plane without nose gear did a seriously good job I think. It's impressive he kept it going so long before it touched down
That Ryan Air landing is scary. That tilty wing strike could result to a spin like the DHL one.
That's where my package went
average ryanair landing
I don't think these are fails, but rather pretty impressive landings given mechanical issues. Great videos though, keep up the good work!
@Teamgeist 🤣
The skill of the pilots in all these landings is Phenomenal!
The 340 landing with no flap did it so smoothly. Those passengers were lucky.
German pilots 🫡
Not sure these are really "fails" so much as not optimal (in the case of the F-15 looked like a successful arrested landing if anything). Like one of my brother's Air Force instructors said - "we've got a perfect safety record having never left one up in the air!"
The F15 landed a long way short of the safety chains, which is not ideal, but much better then the opposite possibility !
@@hb1338 It's the Air Force, not the Navy. Air Force jets aren't designed with landing gear beefy enough to slam it down on a postage stamp. Their arrestor hooks are only for emergency, and that airframe will be down for several weeks for heavy maintenance following that incident. Textbook USAF landing w/ full hydraulic failure.
@@hb1338 the checklist says to touchdown 800-1200ft prior to the cable, which is usually around 1500ft from the threshold. They did it perfectly. But some other F15 from the same base wasnt happy because now the runway is closed and they dont have the fuel to hold for 30 minutes while they get the emergency jet out of the cable and reset the cable, so they had to divert.
That Embraer Landing looked like one hell of a skilled landing! The pilot looked like he kept the nose up right until the last minute
Which one was that?
Average Ryanair landings
that engine-out portugal landing was impressive, look at the rudder input to keep centerline
Flaps on A340: haha land faster no smooth
Pilot: No I don't think so
Flaps failure: Damn it
Pilot pov : falls asleep .Plane:
5:12 Most peaceful evacuation I've ever seen.
He buttered an a340 on a wet runway with no flaps. Impressive.
I know right???..very impressive
Exactly. Hardly a 'fail'
... Probably not the best for safety though? Unclear how much runway they had, but I assume a firmer (earlier) touchdown would have given more time for brakes and reversers; no flaps and wet runway doesn't sound like the best time to optimize for comfort.
Flaps are for novice pilots. Good pilots land without flaps. Best of the best land without wings.
Looks like everyone walked away from these landings, therefore they were all good landings
If you have very very low standards then yes. Arleast my standards are higher than that. There was still very good landings indeed
Well, okay, I can't disagree with the idea that it's a good thing when an aircraft lands rugged and all inside it leave the scene head up.
But breaking a jetliner in two is generally considered a suboptimal outcome -- and it's a good thing that was cargo and not passenger, or else there *surely* would have been people leaving the scene feet first.
Any landing you can walk away from is a good landing.
Being able to use the aircraft again is a bonus.
2:15 ha ofcourse its Ryanair🤭😁😏
2:11 “thank you for flying Ryanair, we hope you enjoyed your flight”
“$&%@! we broke another wheel!”
4:18 that's some next level landing
More triumphs than failures.
3:10 That pilot was trained in GTA 3
Nice treat having a video from you midweek . Hope everyone has a great day.
A lot of landing successes if you ask me! Impressive pilots.
2:11 that’s very normal for RyanAir 😂
Those pilots are amazingly trained and skilled to handle such faults
What happened with the DHL plane in the beginning? Did the landing gear simply collapse, or did it have a structural failure of the fuselage? Because it looked like it just cracked in half, but it's far enough away that it's difficult to tell.
the first one is absolutely wild, how some soft push was able to generate enough momentum to snap a plane in half lol
It ended up slightly perpendicular in a ditch. That is what broke the fuselage in half.
Not push, but a very fast brake with very high g-forces + a rapid turn of a huge mass.
1:06 still smoother than any Ryanair landing
People experiencing some of the most traumatic shit ever in the first clip:
The happiest intro music:
The way that Kuwait 777 appeared out of the fog was incredible.
Props to the 777 pilot and the A340 pilot. Sometimes the best, and safest landing is to just plant it firmly so you can get on the brakes. Fortunately, nobody was injured making this comment. Keep 'em coming!
2:05 thats normal
5.21: Majestic tours and surely their trip was a majestic one especially the landing.
Aren’t the worst landings the ones where everyone onboard dies?
Also a great way to control the human population
Did you guys noticed the SMOOTHEST raynair landing ever💀
AIR TRAFIC CONTROLLER- HEY boss how much did you pay for the new pilot
accountant - 20bucks an hour
AIR TRAFIC CONTROLLER -20 bucks TOO MUCH YOU need to reduce it to 2 and half bucks
Not true my brother jk I’m not you brother
Legend says the cessna pilot still thinks he doesn't have to go around
I know right?? I was shouting at my phone for him to go around and try again...what a wally 🤣
The last plane actually did a fantastic job landing & the touch & go plane was awesome!
wonder how much runway was used by the A340 flap1 wet landing, awesome catch from 2018 / Frankfurt, Germany.
touched down smoothly on 25C @ EDDF which is pretty much the runway you wish for facing those conditions.
pilots surely earned their salary that day, bringing all those people back safely.
awesome.
Most of these were really good landings considering the circumstances!
* a plane crashes brutally* lucaas: luckily, no one was injured.
I gotta hand it to that A340-300 pilot. For having no flaps, and landing on a wet runway, that was pretty damn good.
His leading edges were down
I feel like that Embraer landing without the nose gear was far from a fail.
2:03 Me: Oh No that’s not good! Also me: Oh wait, it’s Ryanair
What's a "fail" about landing on one engine? Looked pretty successful to me. 🤔
you see how the engine was tilted to the ground also that mean 1 engine = less range
HOOLY SMOKES THE LUFTHANSA A340 LANDING WAS SO DAMN SMOOTH HOLY SH T
HOLY SMOKES HOLY SHIT.
Loved how there are so many Lufthansa entries
The landing of Star alliance plane was amazing despite having it to land with no flaps.
Finally someone filmed in Dublin airport
Like how I have a flight tomorrow and youtube recommends me this 😂
I like the weekly dose of aviation 😊
No flaps (third video I think) and the pilot did GOOD. Look how carefully they landed and the nose touched down the last.
RyanAir, doing what RyanAir does best: preparing for that time when they'll need to land on an aircraft carrier.
Ryanair: We are gonna promote you for your incredible work!
1:57 nah guys don't worry this is normal.
The Fast And The Furious - DHL Drift
Are those ground effects (rampant one that is) pushing the planes up in some of the videos?
1:47 Bro took redbull gives u wings to a whole another level
after seeing last landing i feel msfs physics is real.
I wouldn’t call them the worst landings…given the situation 90% these pilots found themselves in, I feel they were impressive landings. At the end of the day, these pilots got everyone on the ground, alive and with minimal injuries *if any at all
Yeah, this is clickbait. Explains the view count.
Kudos to the video team for compiling such compelling content. It's not just entertaining, but also educational for anyone interested in aviation. Great job on the editing and presentation!
I’ve been on that exact star alliance plane from kdfw-Frankfurt and they did a smoother landing with no flaps that with flaps😂
That was smooth for rynair😂 mad respect bro you’re the best❤
am I the only one that likes to watch these for adrenaline?
Lucaas most of your viewers already knows you put out great content so tone down the clickbaitey titles, a bit of clickbait is fine, but most of the landings in this video are actaually great landings.
1:58 That’s why there’s an alarm called ✨WINDSHEAR✨
The first clip: no one was injured
Me: sitting in the middle of the plane💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀
Aterrizaje absolutamente normal.
- *Ryanair*
I think you made a typo in the title, isn’t it supposed to be Ryanair’s top 10 landings?
I was expecting this to just be a Ryanair reel 😅
omg the cessna :D
nice video mate
Each landing you survive was a good landing…
not true lol
10 landing fails wow ❤
grats on first ig
7:10 this guy's got a really great location for spotting.. not to far away that its noisy you got some birds chilling in the background, damn
Any landing you can walk away from is a good landing
A lot of these are hardly "fails"
Bro clickbaits a bunch
The first one was cool. I've been trying to do that spin with my car for years.
That Ryanair got me
I saw at an airport once, a plane did a touch and go because it was risky to land. So, they simply flew back round the airport to try again. They nailed it the second time
thank you for flying Ryanair last year over 1% of our flights arrived on time. We hope you enjoyed yours. Ryanair low fares made simple. 2:13
2:03 Thank you for flying ryan air LoL
Video: *Tenerife Airport Disaster*
Lucaas: “Nobody was injured”
Crashes and more bro sounded happy😂
These aren't fails... These are masterful saves by extremely competent people.
2:14 Casual RyanAir landing
Je te salut chère ami lucaas super 👍 bonne continuation pour le prochain 🇲🇦
If you get it back on the runway it's a succesful landing 😊
Man at 5:28 the a330-900 neo like man litrelly one engine was failed but pilot still buttered the landing respect 👏
Thanks, Luccas.
Yes, I like this format.
4:26 Well done sir!!!!! 👏
I was in a Ryanair plane landing in Merseille during night and strong wind, and it looks like 2:06. Pilot decided to take machine into the air again just before hitting ground.
