Attic Raiders Retro Reviews delves into the world of mafia, mobsters and molls; gangsters and Godfathers; with the vintage board game Vendetta released by Parker Brothers in 1990 (originally released as Vengeance à Chicago in France in 1987).
In the city of Chicago in the '30's gang warfare is rife. The streets aren't safe - shootings, hostage-taking and ambushes are frequent and often bloody. Each player is the head of a gang, a Godfather who controls 8 henchmen. Your aim is to prove you're the most powerful Godfather in town by leaving the safety of your Gang territory and travelling around the City, returning safely to your headquarters.
But be careful - the enemy gangs are out to eliminate you and the henchmen who risk their lives to protect you. There are scores to be settled and the atmosphere is tense - everyone's life is at risk!

Hi ! When my Boss is dead, I take off ALL my gangster on the board (any kidnapped and no kidnapped). I put 3 in my headquater. It' s in rules game in French.
Easily one of the coolest looking vintage board games!
Totally agree - I love the aesthetics of this one.
I remember getting this in a Christmas presents bundle from my Dad's workplace in the early 90s. This brings back some memories!
I love a good nostalogia hit! :) Did you enjoy playing this one?
Nice that _Raiders_ got to work in the fedora! 👍
If you've not watched it, check out the Akator Temple review - full costume in that one (with the accurate fedora). :D
I have to own this :) Great job!
Thanks. It's a fantastic game. Might not be so easy to get if you're in the US though.
This actually looks a lot more fun than the instructions or the eBay listings I've seen have made it look. I've seen this really cheap so yeah, I think I'll be picking this up
Yep, definitely do. Hope you like it. :)
This game was on my radar for awhile but knew it was never released in North America! After watching this I am bidding on one right now on eBay. Love the Chicago accent too! Hahah
Hope you manage to snag a decently priced copy! Was in two minds on the accent and costume, but you gotta change things up and try new ideas! lol
@@AtticRaidersRetroReviews it’s from Greece and other than the instructions being in Greek, it’s 100% complete! You explained it really well in your review so who needs those instructions anyway
@@lucamonti8010 If you need them, there's two slightly different copies of the instructions on the Files page for Vendetta on Board Game Geek.
solid example of engenius 90s board game excellence!! really nice game!! (of course the review as always top notch!) hoping for you to review darkworld so as to see what i'm doing wrong and i can't seem to like the way it plays.. ( it also helps that in greek they messed up the instructions so bad it's unbelievable)
I want to play and review Dark World, but it's not one I own yet. I've heard that game play is extremely weak on it anyway - check out Luke's review on Down From The Attic. :)
Solid review! I’ll be on the lookout for this one :)
Definitely do! I LOVE this game.
Agreed. This looks beautiful. I'm going to try my best to avoid this game ending up in Benardo's unplayed collection. : )
@@kidcardco Yeah, WAY too many unplayed games there that he needs to ship over to me. ;)
@@kidcardco Matt we can’t all binge 34 games on a weekend like you 🙄🤣
@@AtticRaidersRetroReviews I can think of some you need to play still 🤣🤣
Bought this after seeing this. Dodgy Chicago accent lol
It's a great game - hope you enjoy it. :)
@@AtticRaidersRetroReviews It is, first play yesterday with 2 players. Bit confusing with controlling 2 gangs but on the whole good fun
