Attic Raiders Retro Reviews takes a look at how to play the foam-flinging vintage board game Donut Disaster which was released by Parker Brothers in 1993.
"Stack 'Em Fast - Before It Blows!
Hungry? Let's have some donuts! But first, you've got to get all your donuts stacked up to bake on the whacky donut machine!
It's a race against time, because lately the machine's been acting, well, funny. As the action speeds up, it starts to wobble and whine, huff and puff. Sooner of later - nobody ever knows when - it'll EXPLODE and send all the donuts flying into the air, while everybody tries to catch as many as they can.
Still hungry? Then let's make some donuts. But make it quick, or we'll have another DONUT DISASTER on our hands!"

I know that this is sacrilege but that machine would make an amazing start point for a piece of Necromunda scenery.

I actually want this game despite being startling, mainly because it has a cool design.

That really is a lovely mechanical piece to the game, lots going on with the visuals, but yeah the noise is just dreadful 🤣 it’s the same reason Runaway Roller seldom gets played

I *think* it's the loudest game I've got (though Shark Alert and Monster Mania are pretty close).

Great review - this one's pretty simple. I bought a new copy a few years back for $20, couldn't resist, but doesn't get played it's too dang loud. Would love to see a vampire hunter review! Got that one too but hasn't made it to table yet

Vampire Hunter will get a review, but sadly I haven't had a chance to play it yet either!

Regarding turning the machine or its sound off, I wonder how well a hammer might work - might even provide additional entertainment! 💥🔨
This could be a good gift for the children of people you dislike…

😆 You would have thought a simple on/off switch wouldn't be that hard to integrate...

@@AtticRaidersRetroReviews Now thereʼs an idea for a battery‐operated game: Find the Off Switch!™︎ As the sirenʼs wail grows louder and more intense, you solve puzzles to determine the secret combination that turns the game off - and also unlocks the battery cover! _From_ _BLAMMO!!!_

Toys aren't made like this anymore. Kids turn to those tablets.
