Hilarious and informative - this Yank knew nothing of traditional conkers, and so the background was much appreciated. (I was also surprised, at time index 00:43, to learn the Isle of Wight is Englandʼs largest island - I should have thought that title would go to the island comprising most of England, Scotland, and Wales…) I bet there could be the germ of a good game here…but this game is merely like a germ. A material such as foam rubber could be a good start…
Apparently traditional conkers made it over to New York, etc, but yeah, I've never really heard anyone outside of the UK mentioning it.

these remind me of odd toys that i used to have with massive heads and the bodys could fold into the heads??? i think it was supposed to be some sort of game but i just collected them🤣
