I really love the theme of this as well!
Heres my thoughts for a board game with this theme, make the board more expanded in a jungle theme and pathing you can choose to move around in. Some paths can have hazards you land on and make a new objective, like you have to retrieve three cauldrons to your base or take out a chief leader to win. Deciding what path to take and when along with different ways to win for objective could really turn the tables, also you can have different tribe characters on your team like one is good at stealing the cauldrons but can be be defeated easily wile other tribe units have something else going for them, maybe somewhere on the board you can commence a rituals like bringing units back from the dead but it leaves your tribe units commencing the ritual wide open for three turns so you have to think carefully.
This is just off top of my head but i like different factors that can happen when i play a board game

Agreed. A lot of good potential but they missed the mark it seems.
    Good review!

A quick question, what's your favourite 'family' board game? one which would be engaging fun and rewarding for me, wife and 10 year old. We often play Ludo, Monopoly and Card games. Cheers

Personally I'm a big fan of Waddingtons games - Escape From Atlantis and Bewitched are great family games.

I watched the video this morning (early afternoon, your time) but didnʼt want to comment on an empty stomach…⚞BURP!⚟ Itʼs unfortunate that the box insert is the best part of the game. Nice examination of the die‐roll probabilities - Iʼm guessing that the designers paid attention to them but not so much to such notions as balance and play testing. Iʼm a little more attracted to the Mage Stones theme than to prehistoric cannibalism (🤮❗), but Letʼs Do Lunch! did a better job of developing its presentation (once one gets past the box covers, anyway). Still, I suspect that time would be better spent with that intriguing _Hamlyn_ _Book_ _of_ _Horror_ you flashed…
