If your plans for your campervan trip don't work out then it's time to adapt. Even better, don't make any plans at all. Just follow your nose, or your dreams...

You can make excellent espresso coffee or larger coffees using coffee pods, or capsules, or ground coffee. I find the ground coffee a little bit on the messy side for campervan use so prefer to use pods. Just make sure you dispose of them in an environmentally-friendly way. Personally I favour L'Or Ristretto capsules for a strong and intense flavour.
I'm based in the Scottish Highlands and I use a VW campervan to access the great outdoors, where I climb hills, ride my e-bike or gravel bike and just visit some of those places I've never been to. I've been climbing hills and mountains all over the world for 50 years and I'm a former editor of Climber Magazine and The Great Outdoors Magazine.

Took wifey onto Ben A'an a couple of years back. Although I've climbed all over Scotland she hasn't done any hills.....she loved it. It's a nice wee starter hill

I really can't think of a better hill to show someone the potential delights of hill-walking.

Many year’s ago my father taught me to climb at 14. Pillar crag, the Whangie and Auchinstarry quarry. He also showed me the love of the mountains. Ben Lomond being our first.
Fast forward 40 odd years and knee replacements he was still eager for some height. Ben A’an was our choice. An excellent day out with wonderful views. The smile on his face was priceless.

Ben A'nne is where I take people up for their first hill Cameron. I reckon for not too much effort it's a very rewarding little hill.
But I don't like the new path, I preferred the older path taking you through boggy land before reaching the final steep section.
I have witnessed two weddings on the clearing just before that final section, after they are married the bride and from head to the top.
On Ben Ledi, I am sure you are aware but from the carpark at Kilmahog you could have walked the cycle path to Ben Ledi.
It does ad an hour onto the day, but thats how we do it, preferring not to park our motorhome in the small carpark over the bridge.
Thanks again for the video Cameron, and all you do for us motorhome owners.

Ben Ann was your fist hill. It was my last hill before I got out of shape. Then I'm pretty sure we went to the same bakers (only I got a steak pie and a steak & haggis pie). But, I didn't miss out on Calanders equally famous Sweetie shop for a slab of Nougat and a brick of Macaroon... No wonder I got out of shape!😂

Hi Cameron, hope you're keeping well. Great to see the Trossachs again and a wee stop in Callander is always welcome. I follow another channel, Foresty Forest, where Simon and Rocko scale epic peaks in North America and Canada. The scenery is astonishing, as is the drone and video footage. I can recommend. Thanks for sharing. Stay safe and keep up the good work.

I took a trip out to Loch Katrine and the place at the other end I am not even going to try to spell here on your recommendation and it was very picturesque. I have cycled that path around Callander many a time with the family and as you say whatever time of year it is beautiful. I am desperate to explore some of the trails you do on your bike like Glen Fechie or up on the Balmoral Estate close to where I grew up and maybe meet the King like some recent cyclists did. Scotland really is a magnificent country for outdoor pursuits. Another enjoyable watch as usual and whets my appetite for more of your content. Thanks.

Think Ben A’an was my first too, talk about rain Pitlochry was a pack rafting heaven lol.
Must say I love cycling Callander to Killin and back so different in every season.
Love a proper coffee but have given it up for now on my anti-immflamatory and UPF diet.
I tend to find a base with the Moho and stay as I always want to get plenty cycling miles in but I do keep promising myself a drive where the mood takes me trip.

Hi Cameron, I love all around that area, that's a great cycle path, the carpark is usually very busy. The road over Dukes pass is a favourite of mine. I've never done Ben An or Ben Ledi. My wife and I usually parked where the newish visitor centre is and walked up to the reservoir.

Great video Cameron and I used to suffer from plan anxiety! I just try and go with it now and see what happens whenever out in my small one man and a dog van or the motorhome with the boss. Autumn is here and winter to look forward too. Not hanging the boots up yet. What bike are you using? Thanks Dave

I am another fan of the Aeropress. All you are left with is a puck of coffee which is easy to dispose of after the brew and a quick wipe with a sheet of kitchen towel - job done! About as environmentally friendly as it gets!
