The new members that replaced Joey, Paul, and Chris (Jay Weinberg, Alessandro Venturella, and Michael Pfaff) don't have the numbers associated with them out of respect. #4 used to be Josh (Gnar) Brainard who played guitars on the first album, and #3 used to be Greg Welts and Brandon Darner with Greg using the name "Cuddles", with a baby mask. Donnie Steele(replaced by Mick) and Anders Colfensi (replaced by Corey) never had numbers. You guys should check out Mate.Feed.Kill.Repeat sometime. Also, I've never met Corey but I don't believe he's a dick. He's just brutally honest and a bit of a narcissist at times.

I have to disagree with the douchebag thing. Corey is a super down to earth, just genuinely nice guy. I have never met him personally, but I know many people who have, and they all say that he was so nice, no ego. He took the time to hang out and talk with them, just a conversation like you would have with your buddy. He does have a lot of opinions, and does not hesitate to voice them...one of his nicknames is "the great big mouth" lol. He has gotten some hate for that. I have a ton of respect for him. It takes strength to overcome the demons of your past, and grow as a person. He has been very honest about his experiences in interviews, not just dwelling on the negative, but how he worked through it. I think that has helped people with similar traumas. It has definitely helped me. Long story short, not a douchebag lol.

They had one album called Mate.Feed.Kill.Repeat before Corey joined. Also, in 1997, they did some demos. One song called Snap from those demos turned up on the Freddy vs Jason soundtrack. Several of the songs from their first album were remade for their eponymous major label debut, and one for Iowa. I think you should listen to the album and compare and contrast the different musicianship, vocal styles, and lyrics between Anders Colsefni's, and Corey Taylor's.

Slipknot first started with 5 members. They put out a small album called “Mate.Feed.Kill.Repeat” of “MFKR”. They evolved to a group of 9 by the time they released their self titled album “Slipknot” that everyone thinks is their first in 1999. They had already swapped singers to Corey Taylor and he’s been their only singer since. The only 2 members of the 9 from the original 5, were Shawn (the Clown/percussionist) and Paul (the pig/bass player). They also had numbers they all wore or went by as well 0-8.
    The 9 were
    0 - Sid Wilson/The DJ
    1 - Joey Jordinson/Drummer
    2 - Paul Grey/ Bass Guitar
    3 - Chris Fehn/ Percussionist
    4 - James Root/ Rhythm Guitar
    5 - Craig Jones/ Samples/Keyboard
    6 - Shawn Crahan/ Percussionist
    7 - Mick Thompson/ Lead Guitar
    8 - Corey Taylor/ Lead Vocals
They released their 3rd Album (or 2nd as the lineup of 9) called “Iowa” in 2001.
4th album was in 2004 I believe called “Vol.3 The Subliminal Verses”.
5th album was in 2008 and called “All hope is gone”.
In 2010, unfortunately, Paul Grey (2) Bass Guitar, passed away.
Alessandro “Alex” Venturella joined the band in 2014 to be the new bass player and they released a new album called “.5:The Grey Chapter”. The name was a tribute to Paul Grey who had passed away. I believe Joey Jordinson (1) The Drummer helped record the album but there was a falling out and he left Slipknot and was replaced with Jay Weinberg as the Drummer.
They released another album in 2019, called “We Are Not Your Kind” and I’m not sure if before or after that album was released, but (3) Chris Fehn- Percussionist has also left and been replaced by Michael Pfaff also known as the Tortilla Man.
I think there’s a new album coming soon.

You have no idea how satisfying and refreshing that was to hear a lot of people that aren't into metal or people that just dismiss it as "devil worshiping music" hearing someone admit that they wish they got into this music back in the day makes me so happy I literally can't stop smiling

This Was a Awesome choice for Today's Slipknot🙌Saturday Guys! 💁‍♀️I Know You Guys Reacted To Vermillion. I'm Not Sure If I Have watched you React to Vermillion Part 2 🤔 Or Did you react to them both in one video? Now I need to watch that reaction again.🤘😉

Moves out I-80 I believe and then the digging scene is at the Sound Farm studio outside Jamaica, Iowa, where they recorded the album. i believe "Psychosocial" video was shot there as well. not sure where they shot the interiors. haven't done that much research.

Corey has been there since the self titled album came out and they got noticed in 99. He can scream or sing. When they were younger there's no question they were way more aggressive. You have to realize they're 50 years old now so it's not like they would be good at doing nothing but being aggressive now.

  • @Tombstone23

Damn great song. Definitely recommend Machine Head - Aesthetics Of Hate (Audio version) Last I checked the music vid is censored. The song is essentially one big FU to a guy who crapped on Dimebag Darrell after his death.

I've heard both sides about how Corey is. I've heard some people who have met him say he was a dick and then other people who have met him say he's a total sweetheart so I think it just depends on what mood you catch him in. Like most people. Lol

  • @psychobetha

there are people who say he’s a douche because he’s definitely not one to keep his opinion to himself. if he thinks something, he says it 🤷🏼‍♀️ personally i think he’s a pretty awesome, chill dude. y’all probably know a lot of people in the music industry can be dicks and might not have a lot of friends, but if you ask pretty much anyone out there they’ll say Corey is a great guy personally and professionally.

There's also an earlier version of this song on the demo cd "mate feed kill repeat" BTW that's an amazing album name it's just humanity summed up in four words.

Been listening to Slipknot since I was 8. I'm 25 now and don't regret it one bit. Also, I think the term Maggots came more from the appearance of the mass of fans from perspective of the members on stage. Could be wrong but I thought I heard/read that somewhere.
