RWB Ranger, are there a lot of Wallace's and Campbell's in Scotland? Those are my relatives. My ancestors were in the Scottish Rite Freemasons for 300 years. So, the Wallace's moved to Scotland from Wales and was one of the first families to form Scotland? I am just trying to understand my family history.

Joey Jordison Was kicked because his playing wasn't great at his last year in the band his playing was so slow that the rest of the band had to play their songs slower, they thought joey was doing drugs so they kicked him for his own good, but then later they found out why Joey wasn't doing good is because he had a dangerous neurological disses that could've killed him if he didn't beat the disses, and Joey said "I wouldn't wish it for my worst enemies" and also Joey said later that he has no bad blood between him and the members of slipknot.
It did kill him :(
@@rockyalls4386 actually I don't think it's the cause for his death because he beat the disses and he's been free of it for years, but again his death cause isn't disclosed yet, all we know that he died in his sleep without indication that he was sick prior to that, maybe his heart just stopped
@@xvor_tex8577 What Joey had was an aggressive type of MS, if my memory serves. His heart stopping is possible since that type of disease hitting just the right part of the brain could cause something vital to just stop.
@@Nightdominia in the emergency call from his ex girlfriend she says that he had an alcohol addiction. So might also have been a reason that contributed to his passing

Joey was kicked because the band thought he was using drugs. But later reveled that he had a rare neuro decease and his legs didn't worked. Check out some of the lives from 2012 Joey was struggling on stage. Rip king ❤️
Jay is a fuckin beast. But Joey was Jays biggest influence growing up so he's like the next evolution of him.

Joey was and ALWAYS will be "Number 1" but, Jay! Jay's a pretty bad boy in his own right! Both are phenomenal drummers and although their genres are the same, they both have totally different styles & techniques. Can't take anything away from either & they've both left it all on the stage when they perform! 🤘🏼💙🤘🏼

Joey Jordison had a disease called Acute Transverse Myelitis. It causes spinal cord inflammation which will eventually cause paralysis of the outer extremities. The worse part about this specific disease is it starts at the bottom of the spinal cord and moves up causing more and more paralysis until it reaches the part of the spinal cord that controls breathing. People have been known to be completely paralyzed within week of the first sign of symptoms. Joey was lucky but while in the hospital he experienced full paralysis of his legs and was afraid he would never walk or drum again.
I love how you said Corey is known as a loud mouth. There's a reason one of his nicknames is The Great Big Mouth
*I understand the loyalty and mad respect for Joey because he was a badass and 100% deserves the praise. But there's ppl out there who disrespect Jay just because he's not Joey and it's not cool. Both are excellent drummers and both should be respected and acknowledged positively for what they've contributed as separate ppl without one having to be knocked down in order to raise the other up. With that said, you guys should check out Slipknots "NERO FORTE" next.*

Jay's drumming is more simple than Joey's. But that isn't a bad thing. Jay on the last album though? He killed it.
Joey is amazing, but Jay is not more simple. They're different, but Jay is not a simple drummer.
Couldnt disagree more about Jay's drumming being more simple. To me his drumming is cleaner than Joey's.

I wouldnt call his drumming simpler. Joey was a bit unorthodox so his drumming could be extremely noticeable & stark, but Jay is extremely capable, maybe a little more formal.
Solway Firth is my favorite song on the WANYK album and top 5 Knot song. It's fucking brutal!

The video footage was from the Amazon Prime show 'The Boys' amazing show! A modern take on Super Heroes with a modern day twist with the sex drugs violence swearing.
One of the best album enders they made imo, which is saying something with this being their most recent album as of right now. Just the last 2 lines alone sum up how they have felt the past few years and how much Corey's life in particular has changed. So powerful.
And as for that Bruce Springsteen bit, thank God for google lol. Hope you really enjoyed the way Jay plays, I think he's great. If they ever had to get rid of Joey, which was sadly what happened, Jay was the best possible replacement. Especially since max weinberg brought Jay to meet the guys (I believe) in the early 2000s and now Jay plays with them all. He was already familiar with them and what they did.

The scenes you are referring to are from the show on Amazon called The Boys (highly recommend). It’s a unique spin on what the real world would be like with superheroes and (spoiler) they are not displayed like they are in Marvel. Epic song, awesome reaction form y’all as always!!
The new drummer is Jay Weinberg. He is the son of Max Weinberg, the drummer for Bruce Springsteen's E Street Band. The video clips are from "The Boys" show (Amazon I think). It is about a more humanized story surrounding super heroes, it shows their faults, weaknesses, and vices and it is not just violent, it is HYPER violent and graphic! Exploring the dark sides of super heroes that are always in the public eye... makes for an awesome show. Fred Durst called Slipknot fans "fat ugly kids" back in 1999.

I love how Jay does that kind of possession routine before certain songs starts or whenever there's a break in the drumming. We'll always love and miss Joey (such a badass how he overcame that disease and was able to play drums again), but Jay is an awesome edition. Been a maggot since day one and not going anywhere.

Saw them for the first time in St Louis at Knotfest 2019 with Gojira, Behemoth and Volbeat. That show was amazing. Jay threw his drumsticks into the crowd and I almost caught one 😢 Definately recommend seeing them in concert if you can.

Jim Root and Mick Thompson are my favourites, but I'm a guitarist at heart and they've always stood out as a great duo. They both happen to be big scary looking guys with intimidating masks, but both from all accounts are super chill, friendly dudes.
Solway Firth is also known for a really wierd old picture with a kid in front and a "space man" behind her. Who supposedly werent there when they took the picture. "Here´s an unexplainable one" as Corey sings could be a reference to that . But i guess he combines them both with the celtic-style singing at the start :)
Joey was kicked for suspicion of drugs because he started to not play as amazingly as he always could. They later found out he had a disease that was affecting his ability to play drums, there was no bad blood there. Jay was his replacement, and his father is also a drummer I believe he played for Springsteen. His father is Max Weinberg, not Bruce Springsteen, but he did play drums for him 🤣 #GOTYOURBACKFELLAS
Jay Weinberg came into Slipknot officially on their .5 The Grey Chapter album, so everything prior to that was done by Joey, but I do believe Jay toured with Slipknot for a few years prior to them recording .5 The Grey Chapter
You can only tell the difference between Joey and Jay when Jay has to play old school Slipknot. Like for example on IOWA songs, the bass kicks aren’t as insane as Joey could do them (no disrespect to Jay) but it’s insanely faster than what I have seen him play

The acting bits in the video are from a show series called The Boys. They released this single and video in a cross promotion type of thing for the show. Just like if you watch their My Plague video, its clips from the first Resident Evil movie (song is in the credits). However if you ever do My Plague, don't do that version, its censored for commercial play but cuts such a good part out.

Max Weinberg led the Late Late Show with Conan O’Brien studio band
Surprised y’all on this one so late after y’all did all the other new tracks. Jay Weinberg was introduced into the band with V-Man on bass in “Devil In I”. Jay was Joey’s setup/backup before he was the actual drummer. When Joey left it was a no brainer who would fill in since he was already family. Oh and at the end, Corey’s name is put to song with the lyric “I Am The Great Big Mouth” in the hidden track “Eeyore”.
No Jay was not “Joeys backup”. He had to audition just like every other drummer they interviewed. He didn’t even know he was auditioning for Slipknot at the time. Any true Maggot would know this. I mean hell just read some interviews with him if you don’t know.

Max, bruces drummer, who took JAY to his first concert, which happened to be be slipknot!!! And now jay plays for them! Joey had a lot of health issues.... Ultimately lead to his passing!!! My that man rest in peace!!!

I think it was a Summerslam one year they showed Fred Durst in the crowd and he flipped off the camera and they legitimately ejected him for it. He said he "left early to beat traffic," it was like an hour into the show.
