    Today is going to be the day! the straw bale is now in the garage. My oldest son has volunteered to chop it up for me. I got my fresh cow poo from the farm next door... (I'll have some questions on the drying process for ya and I'll show you how I germinated the spores using your amazing Grab and Drag method.
    Now seeing that you fruited it 3 times really lit the 🔥 Thank You Ed! 🖤

    Nice fast video, I just put your lc to grain so it’s timely. I finally figured out how to do the diaper tek on 2 shelves of my storage rack using some Mylar backed canvas from a small mars hydro tent.
    It will be interesting to see how it turns out. I normally don’t use the bottom shelf anyway as I don’t bend over too well any more.
    I just used jiffy mix on my last pan grow as a casing because I’m lazy.
    ✌️

    So glad you're finally doing pans! I've been wanting to get into them for some time but I just didn't have the confidence. A certain Pan enthusiast, whom I've acquired a few prints from, is doing a barebones, basic-ass pan tek that involves a window screen, long storage tote and a lot of misting... And that's it! It's a very simple tek and worth checking out.

    Where did you get the pot you boil substrate in? It looks awesome!
    Boiling the substrate instead of doing the bucket 'tek' is so much more convenient, and honestly easier to do. Much less guess work!

    Edward, Suggestion. Use a weed wacker in a trash can to cut straw perfect pieces. Cloth on top while chopping ,may be dusty. Then lickidy split.

    Nice one mate. I've just run my first TTBVI in 50L unmodified tubs. Like you, I don't get too caught up with the intense 'TEKS'... I end up just doing my own thing using common sense. The 4 tubs were fully colonised in 7 days, super aggressive and fluffy, and just cased with some peat moss, verm, and calcium carbonate... not sure I needed to case, as 2 of the 4 tubs were already pinning... but we'll see how it goes. Hopefully we get a decent forest., Sub was normal organic horse poo and CV. Didn't even really try to pasteurise it either. Mushrooms want to grow and fruit. Don't ever think it hey

    • @edwardgrand
      @edwardgrand  Před 4 měsíci +1

      Well-stated. The 'tek' guys annoy the shit out of me. Common sense seems to prevail here. I added a bit of calcium carbonate to my last casing. Might not be needed. This is all personal use for me, so I'm gonna have way more than I ever need soon.

    • @gonzo_vino
      @gonzo_vino Před 4 měsíci +1

      @@edwardgrand 24 hours later, and 3 of the 4 tubs are pushing multi-cluster colonies of fruits. I'm very impressed with this, seeing as its always an incredibly slow coloniser of my NSNR millet. What's been your experience with ttbvi on grain?

      @edwardgrand  Před 4 měsíci

    After watching Gordo's Screen Tek, I thought that your Diaper Tek in the Martha should provide both the FAE and humidity to make pans happy. A chef's knife and a cutting board might be better than a weed eater in a trash can to do that small batch of straw. Do you still have TTBVI swabs?

    • @edwardgrand
      @edwardgrand  Před 4 měsíci +1

      I just use shoeboxes and they are for personal use. No need for the weed eater yet. I have swabs and LC at Sporeswaps.
