how food the good is here
Thanks for doing this, I don’t know why I never thought of doing it in the same tub, I’m always running side by sides, same grain spawn, same sub but two different tubs so I’m never quite certain that the environmental conditions are the same. I did find that pans like a lot of water.
I heavily sprayed 3 times a day and they loved it. They don’t mind getting wet and seem to thrive on it. After a flush I would inject 30ml of water down in the sub and the next morning I’d have pins at the injection site that would then spread out. Last tub was just cv with a 1/8 tsp of hydronic fertilizer in the water and they did well. I cased with cvp+ so it will be interesting to see the difference.
I've used flora gro from general hydroponics, the 2-1-6 nutrient solution in growing cordyceps and had decent results. Also there was a notable difference with cordys adding 0.2 grams vitamin B complex to 750 ml broth. Never tried with any other fungi. That is super interesting though.
@@Primitivemycology it’s the same product.
I’m also trying some humic acid in a few different grain bags. I’ll be comparing them with the non-treated grain in the next week or so. I’m not really expecting much but I have seen other mushrooms do well with it. I used a small amount of a 12% solution on some wine cap spawn grain. I got an unexpected very large flush. I’m not certain if it was the mild weather or the additive that help but I got around 25lbs in the first flush in a 4x6 bed in the last week of February/first week of march.
@@texaspowerman that's a phenomenal flush of wine caps for the bed size! I've got several types of oyster beds and a pioppino and chestnut bed that have produced well this year but I'm just to the point of having sawdust blocks of wine caps and wood blewits fully colonized to put between my garden rows when I mulch it but I'm yet to fuit them. Also have some local morel spawn I made from this spring but I'll be surprised if it does anything next spring if I innoculate a bed this month. I have to say after growing in bags for so many years, now that I'm really getting into outdoor cultivation of beds and logs I'm starting to lose interest in bags. Lol beds and logs produce so many mushrooms, multiple times and I find the texture is different outdoors too.
@@texaspowerman how do you set up your wine cap beds? Straw and mulch?
@@Primitivemycology layer of cardboard, spawn,10lbs straw, 40lb bag of wood pellets, coir. I also dump all my used blocks and bags there. I get wine caps every spring and fall. Occasionally some oysters will show up from a spent bag but they grow very close to the ground and the critters get them. I just put down another layer of straw, wood pellets and coir after the fall flush and water it down. I’ve got a tree coming down soon and I’ll frame it with the logs and add shiitake plugs.
Thanks for your information!
looking forward to the follow up

Clean eggshells ground into a fine powder will work like gypsum in the substrate.
I dont eat dinner at a table either.
Will you do a microwave agar sterilization test video, since you did sub in the microwave..... someone has to.
