Kayaking South Fork of Salmon River in California dreamflow estimate level at 1300 cfs

Great run 5 mile run rapids are shown in order. Be sure you put in the right spot at the right spot since private property runs on both sides of the river for 1 mile from Cecilville. The spot to put in is somewhat steep dropoff off the side of the hill towards the river. Don't park in the obvious spot right next to the river. I tried to name all the rapids.

John is probably a fascinating guy - certainly intrepid.
It's his product, and the channel format that is so unique among the "kayaking youtube" channels, in that there is absolutely no celebration of the self. No mention of 'stout' conditions, and reflexive back-patting. There is only exceptionally high quality filming, and kayaking. He's like the Emmitt Smith of kayaking in bunch of Ickey Woods.

Pretty sure we paddle rafted that too. Did part of the E Fork, part being out of the question for a 5 man paddle boat. Iirc the bottom of the E fk is extreme. Did you do the over nighter? Didn't see it?. Agree with others, you have a great video library!

We did not do the East Fork of the Salmon in California. However, I was in Idaho this year and got to do the East fork of the South Fork of the Salmon into the South Fork of the Salmon. We did the trip as an overnighter. Fantastic run.
