Kayaking video of South Fork Salmon River in Idaho level 5.0 to 5.2 feet on Krassel Ranger gauge

The rapids are shown in order on this 36 mile section of river. This trip was from 5/26 and 5/27/2020. There is another 20 miles on the main salmon I only showed the Vinegar Creek rapid on the main salmon. I tried to name the rapids but wasn't sure of all the rapid names.

Wow! What a river! The scenery was incredible. So many constant rapids. I know the camera never gives the real feel for the size of the rapids - but , those were some pretty big ones in there - so they must have been damn huge! Excellent video John.

Thanks yeah the size of the waves and holes are way bigger in person. I had a ton more footage but didn't want to make the video any longer than it is.

Another good run on a fun river. I like the way you set your camera. It's very watchable and you capture the kayaker's view.

Such a beautiful canyon. I did a long time before Go Pro's so all I have is a couple of still shots. Glad to see only minimal fire damage. Pretty straightforward aside from some big pour overs .Best to avoid those, lol.

Yeah goes well. You have to watch out for the 3 or 4 big rapids.

Edit change required@ 21:50 is Greyhound. That rapid @25:30 is actually a 'new' rapid (last 4 or 5 years) created from the landslide you see coming in from the right. Such a classy run! Well done.

Thanks the guys I was with said it was greyhound. Someone else had greyhound labeled as a different spot in some other pics. It is so hard to find good info on rapid locations and names.

@@MossyRock420 Thanks. Yeah it is hard to find out all the local names. I try to look at american whitewater database and then research youtube videos to name the rapids on the river. Now if I can just figure out how to add the rapid name in the correct place. You use to be able to add words into videos once they were on youtube, but they have changed that function. Hopefully I can figure it out or I may just have to put it in the description.
