Ayman Mohamed Yes. I'm planning to go there next time :) last time I was there when I was like 12yo so I don't remember much.. a lot of things must have changed.. except the monuments of course :p
Jan Hey :) I think I would give it 8/10, minus 1 point because of annoying bakshish collectors and minus 1 point for low standard in one of the hotels I was staying in, other than this everything was perfect :)
Jan I wouldn't recommend for any woman to travel alone. These days nowhere in the world is safe and world is full of psychos. Just 1 month back a young Polish woman died in Marsa Alam, till now no one knows what exactly happened. They are investigating if it was a human trafficking case. Some areas of Cairo are very safe like Al Duqqi, Gezira island, there's many embassies located there and security is high. but in places like Khan Al khalili bazaar I think if something happened to you no one would ever know, there's hundreds of small streets, without any surveillance cameras, no security, no police, plus it's very crowded - these are places I'm scared of the most..
It's been a long long time. You are becoming more and more like an Arabic woman with the weight, accent and overall look. Poland must be a long way away.
I am glad that you liked our country and enjoyed ur trip, but it really pains me and makes me sad when I know that silly situations, you should have posted a video of just one minute telling us that you are coming to Egypt & I would have told you everything, best places to go, what to do and what to avoid, but just so you know ( Egypt is under military coup since June of 2013, and it's not as good as it used to be, you may like it because it's very cheap compared to other countries, but as you experienced, you may get insulted if you don't buy, and no one can save you, sadly)
What the hell are you saying ??!!, Egypt is safe and good and many European men and women are not only visiting Egypt but also living in, You know all countries are facing terrorism( America, France, Germany, even Italy) may be her country also is facing, which i don’t know definitely. I think you, as an English speaker, are not a good ambassador of your country sadly.
Mahmoud 74 hey :) ohh.. if I knew you can help me as a guide I would ask you for help straight away but I didn't think about it.. hopefully next time. I'll let you know before I go again. even though there are these small issues I will always go back to Egypt :) Maybe next time to Luxor and Hurghada :) it's really sad that Egyptian people still suffer because of these political problems, I hope the situation will improve in coming years and Egypt will be busy with turists as it used to be before..
Mahmoud 74 hi! Sorry for asking so long after you commented, but I'm going to Cairo this summer and I'm wondering how much one should haggle in the bazaar. Is it like in China where they start at ridiculous prices? Or are they more reasonable?
