this place looks pretty huge! Gonna have to ask Andie's folks if they've been here while they lived in Cairo. A few years there, I'd be surprised if they hadn't been. Ha - I love your stop-n-scratch when the jersey vendor came down to $7 🤣 👍 Definitely love your quest for stickers, super fun!
Seems to be the main place everyone goes. Maybe won't walk the whole thing but at least some park of it. It's always a mission to find stickers and patches; but keeps it exciting
Good to see a marketplace in Egypt, like you said it seems like a totally different experience from the pyramids - and you got another football jersey! You are beginning to get yourself quite a collection but still no Ipswich Town FC which disappoints me. Looking forward to seeing how things pan out...
We all have bucket list items in life. Mine is to find an Ipswich Town FC jersey! With tourism being down we get that the people at the pyramids gotta hustle harder, but it is a much more pleasant shopping experience ar the markets.
That was a much better experience! Love market streets like that. Love seeing all the Mo Salah merch!!! We saw him when they brought the European cup home to Liverpool in 2019 on the open bus tour through the city!! So cool. Are you calling me a b***ard 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣. Loved it. Oh and the shirt suits you! Your are now officially a Scouser! 🍻

I love all the Mo Salah merchandise! People really seem to revere him there. I can always count on you guys to showcase these amazing markets. Cool to see how you guys can also negotiate respectfully to get a better deal. I love the sales pitch "How would you like to spend the rest of your money?" and how it sounds like he called you a bast*** hahaha. Egypt and the pyramids are a huge bucketlist item for us!
Mo Salah is a hero for sure. Led Egypt to the African Cup finals this year! I'm sure others could get the prices lower but we at least get it down to a fair price for us. That guy was a character; had a good time chatting with him. Egypt was a last minute choice; but so happy we made it!

I prefer hand made items too. I feel like they use better material.
Hand-made items were harder to find than in East Africa. But we will still look for them!

I remember looking for authentic papyrus at those markets ... they were all authentic. 😂
We didn't film it; but we did go into a shop that was completely dedicated to papyrus. They even turned off the lights to show how it would glow in the dark. Plus they gave us a full demonstration on how to go from plant to paper.
Oh I love to walk away, they don't want to lose you but what a scam to ask for such a high price and see if you'll bite!
