Brya's Love: Mid For Most And Great For Some (New 180 Void Scout)
Vložit

- Brya's Love is a new 180 rpm void scout in Season Of The Witch. I was kind of excited about it when I saw the perks, but it ended up coming up a tad short. It has new perks and some of them are great on it, but what it does can be done a tad better by some others. That isn't to say that it won't do well with certain perk combinations, because it has some unique things. I think most players will find it mid, but others will find a lot of use out of it.

You have any use for it?
No. Doom of Chelchis is better.
Replacing old 180’s (even if temp) just because it’s got new dynamics & the fun of learning all the quirks.
@@FreeUrMind2C Exactly!
It’s got that old D1 scout rifle look so I’ll be crafting one. Probably Frenzy and Rapid Hit.
Tricorn is cool enough to get, for sure.
Loose Change definitely seems like the kind of perk you'd only want to use when you can reliably cause elemental effects through Volatile Rounds, Voltshot, Unraveling Rounds etc.
I can see it being a much better feeling perk in those circumstances.
Works better when using Gyrfalcon's, but Rapid Hit is just way more reliable, especially since 180s are basically wet noodles in PvE so you'll have plenty of time to build stacks.
If scorch works and if it stacks with itself then that could be pretty interesting to see
So basically it works best with Gyrfalcon’s, because you can always give yourself Volatile Rounds when you dodge and break invisibility.
My favorite 180 is Vision even though they nerfed burning steps. I'm pretty excited for this one.
same, and I was wondering and waiting for when they would use the model again for another scout
they nerfed steps? damn. i mean it feels decent in low end pve but high end pve and pvp i haven’t tried it
@@sylokthedefiled They did to it the same thing they did to Doom Fang Pauldrons and Eternal Warrior - having those exotics equipped gives you the ability to ramp up Solar damage on matching damage type final blows but does not stack with the boot Surge mods, and you can immediately get to x4 damage bonus (more than you can have on the boot slots) by, in Steps's case, getting a solar grenade final blow. The damage bonus before that change was higher, but you can now use stuff like Scavs, Stacks on Stacks, Elemental Charge or Loaders on the boots, basically doubling up the boot slot mods you have and giving you effectively 12 energy worth of Surge mods baked into the boots itself.
@@TheMegaMagikarp ahh gotcha. thanks!
@@TheMegaMagikarpit also stacks with radiant. It won't perform like it used to but this is okay
Man True Sight IS was my favorite scope for scouts on D1 and this looks a lot like that.
I gotta say I am quite liking it in PVE. The sights for PVP are a bit of a concern as they're quite chunky but otherwise I can see Golden Tricorn slotting in really nicely with any Void Subclass Builds tbh! Gyrfalcons Hunter, Nothing Mannacles Warlock, Armamenterium Titan even? Could use Second Chance for double Shields with Controlled Demolition too. A few good ways to get it rolling.
Loose change Golden Tricorn is definitely looking like a possible pickup for my gyrfalcons hunter. Nice easy reload buff, nice easy damage buff, both without doing more than I already want to in the build
Rapid Hit/Destabilizing Rounds is a fantastic setup for Gyrfalcon’s Hauberk. Highly recommend for hunters to pick up in particular
8:04 Lmao! Classic Destiny. Can't help but love it. Thanks for putting this in the video.
Brya's Love for the Gyrfalcon's is undeniable! Keep away + Precision instrument as crafted for the first time and it's melting everything in 1840 content when I'm at 1807...
So Precision Instrument is literally the Not Forgotten perk in Crucible? Land 2 headshots and the 3rd headshot kills. Wow. That's really strong.
But it's hard resil checked. And that resil check is relatively low at tier 5. And titans are still a plague in crucible. Good luck getting that 3 tap off in crucible even half the time.
It’s only 5 resil and below tho, still good but till 180’s get real good it’s gonna stay mid

@@ForeverLaxxare you good bro lol
@@ForeverLaxx came in a little heated.
It is probably the closest to Mag howl in this current meta. A 180 that for the cost of 2 headshots makes the third strong enough to get a kill (resil dependant). I'd argue he isn't enough wrong on that part of the take.
It's the "That's really strong" that is solidly up for contention.
It's a beautiful weapon model that's shared between Fang of Ir Yût and Bad Juju. A destiny 1 Classic model, I'm sure came back for the sole reason Fang is back with reprised Crota's end.
I have a natural drop of Rapid Hit/Precision Instrument with a Voidlock and volitile rounds, and plink-plonking away at orange/yellow bars watching "yellow number go up" as they explode is definitely fun in pve but not meta defining.
But let's not forget another important aspect of the gun, its absolutely heartwrenching lore tab.
Also what was with that wizard falling into the abyss?
Don't forget Vision of Confluence!
@@atomic_wait Oh shit, you right. My bad
@@DaxAtk Did some digging and it's also Another NITC and Badger CCL.
@@atomic_wait wasn't there something special about badger when it came out? Like some unique perk combo or something. I vaguely remember a couple of my playgroup being real excited about it for some reason
@@DaxAtk I remember the vendor Another NITC having a great scope and rangefinder, it slapped on those huge Combined Arms maps. Not sure about Badger.

The model for Brya's Love is more reminiscent of the Vision of Confluence, Badger CCL, and Boolean Gemini models from D1. It shares the short overall length, downward angle silhouette of the front, narrow magazine model, and the taller block like stock of Boolean and other miscellaneous D1 models.
Fang of Ir Yut is longer and more straight in silhouette, with the barrel coming out past the boney hand guard, and bulkier cut magazine model. Fang of Ir Yut does however share the same tiny stock from Vision of Confluence and Badger CCL.
The literal Fang of Ir Yut model configuration, minus the boney look given to it thanks to Crota's End, would be the Trax Callum I from D1.
If you were to look at the Trax Callum I and Brya's Love side by side, you could tell that they aren't the same looking. I'd personally say Brya's Love looks more like Vision of Confluence minus the bipod.
I think the thing that gets overlooked by a lot of people is the feel. I have a crafted Doom of Chelcis, but I really think this might replace it in a lot of cases just based on the feel. Brya's Love just feels better in my hands than Doom ever did.
Doom's massive model felt so terrible, I didn't keep the one drop I got because I have Vouchsafe. Brya will instantly replace it.
@failfurby I've never noticed doom having a specifically massive model. What's your field of view?
To clarify, Doom doesn't feel bad to me. Brya's just feels better
Doom just has so much better rolls though. EP with Frenzy or OFA is so good. the only roll I have atm is Dragonfly/OFA which has amazing synergy because the explosion will proc OFA after one kill
@@fringehouse none of that matters to the majority of players because they don't raid. Brya's is for the rest of us.
Because I don't have Doom and probably never will, this one is very interesting to me. Void is my second most used Hunter subclass and I am always happy to see new and accessible toys for me. I will be crafting StL/EP or StL/Tricorn as soon as I possibly can, I don't need Destabilizing on Hunter.
It’s not that hard you just need to unlock doom once which you can farm from the first encounter, easy to do with LFG, and farm oryx once a week to buy the weapon from the kiosk until you can craft it, oryx is an easy encounter compared to modt
Bro you need to farm doom when kings fall is in rotation bc it is the best scout in class, you need one I'm telling you
@@thomasfranklin8227 is it soloable? No? Then it's not gonna happen. Brya's Love will be perfectly fine.
This is my new favorite weapon thank you for making a video on it!!!
This weapon has 2 really incredible rolls for the Crucible, especially when combined with either Radiant or Volatile (which let's be real is way too easy to get with Gyrfalcon's).
The first would be: Keep Away / Precision Instrument
The second would be: Keep Away / Golden Tricorn
Precision instrument is always a 3-tap with Volatiole in the mix, which just means hunters have access to a basically 100% uptime 3-tap 180 scout now, which also is incredibly consistent at range due to keep away - the same 3-tap potential is reached with radiant.
The second roll is kind of trolly, but if it goes off you truly can wreck people for a couple seconds with a 0.33 second ttk 2-tap.
If you can get Tricorn x2 with Volatile rounds or Radiant, which both technically are easy enough to get in combination (throwing knife on Hunter again or any Void Nade with the Fragment).
I actually was lucky enough to get basically a perfect random roll of this and believe me it is the most disgusting thing to invade with in Gambit XD. (Handling MW, Fluted Barrel, Accurized / Keep Away Golden Tricorn)
I just get one kill from near the invasion Portal and then throw an Axiom Bolt- it obviously doesn't work well on every Gambit map, but if you can get it off, you'll have a couple seconds to Invade with a schwifty 2-tapping scout Rifle.
In short, simply having access to these two perks (at least for me) power crept every other 180 Scout out off relevancy for anything involving PVP, I'll still use my Doom for most PVE Content though.
Nice, with fluted, steady, counterbalance? If you don’t mind me asking.
I would have rushed to craft one if not for Chelchis. I’m definitely more interested in Fang returning.
Got one with Keep Away and Explosive Payload and it ROCKS in PvP and PvE. I’ve always loved scouts, and this one has caught my attention.
thats the badger ccl model from dark below if im not mistaken
Loose change (feels like outlaw) and destablizing rounds is amazing in pve. Love the feel.
Also this is essentially a carbon copy of Boolean Gemini from D1, i loved the feel of that exotic and this feels like that
I feel like loose change is gonna be fantastic with gyrfalcons and you mix it with explosive payload, golden tricorn, and frenzy.
I use a volatile voidlock most of the time so loose change and golden tricorn is a more appealing option for me seeing as I start every fight with a grenade toss.
Big scout enjoyer and Void main here. This thing is priority number 1 for my pattern progress this season.
Definitely grabbing Rapid Hit, maybe pair it with Destab Rounds.
From how I've been looking at this Scout, to use one of your analogies Coolguy, it's end loaded with "Win Later" perks for PVP. But for PVE it fits a similar for me with Shoot to Loot/EP as my Shoot to Loot/Kinetic Tremors Hung Jury, but has better Synergy with my Gyrfalcon's Hunter build that allows me to snag Orbs of Power and Ammo bricks from afar.
I like the way it feels (like all of the seasonal weapons, with them being reskinned VoG weapons, they all inherited the original weapons' feel) and the sight is wonderful. Didn't have a void scout I really vibed with until now. Don't like how Doom feels.
Im such a big fan of the sight and archetype, ive been waiting for a while for a keep away tricorn precision frame for the free accuracy boost + easy 3 taps. I crafted mine day 1 this season and love it in PvP. If you like vison of confluence for PvP you will LOVE this scout.
Shoot to loot & explosive payload, I'm in. This thing is about to boost my wish ender build into the stratusphere with easy access to armor charge at range
I like it. I've got mine crafted with Precision Instrument and Keep Away.
It feels very good to shoot. I suspect this will be my GM scout this season and perhaps beyond.
wtf how
Love the look of these old scout rifles
Another one I’ll level to 20 and vault without enhanced perks until a need arises. Thank you Coolguy :)
I have 4 tiers of personal weapon categories. ‘Not for me’ ‘Crucible’ ‘This is going to rule in PVE’ and what this gun falls into what I call ‘Mess around weapons’ where it’s good enough to mess around in seasonal activities or things like strikes but I wouldn’t take it into high end endgame.
I dont have a vouchsafe and i dont raid too often, so this is gonna be my go to void scout from now on. Shoot to loot + Destabilizing Rounds is whag im going for
Thanks for the early review.
Love my Rapid Hit Incandescent Trustee. Might have to give this a try although I have a pretty interesting Doom of Chelchis roll in Dragonfly Firefly.
Don’t get me wrong I was listening but everything that happened between 8:09 - 8:26 was hilarious 😂
Given the seasonal offerings, i feel confident that oversoul edict, hunger of crota, and abyss defiant are for sure coming. Black hammer is a toss up given the new solar vanguard sniper tho its so iconic its hard to imagine they wont bring it back. Light in the abyss, word of crota, fang of ir yut, song of ir yut, swordbreaker are the remaining weapons and idek which to rule out.
Something about this gun just clicked with me. I got a Perpetual Motion / EP roll and decided to give it a go in the Crucible and it absolutely slapped. Might not be the best scout in the game, but something about it just FEELS good for me to use, and sometimes the feel is what is most important.
PM/EP is what I crafted. Don't need to think, move and shoot
Been rocking rapid hit explosive payload and loving it so far
Can't wait for you to get the new nightshade it's ridiculously strong imo
The scout with destabilizing rounds/shoot to loot makes gyrofalcons a lot more consistent in harder content
Ooh that sounds gnarly...do the volatile explosions proc shoot to loot?
@@dirtydan4492this is what I came to the comment section to find out. I haven’t seen anyone specifically say it works yet
it feels like the radiant frostees hunters are eating especially good this season. First there was igneous coming back with GT and now there's this with precision instrument. I have a hard time seeing using any other scout on solar when this thing exists lol
When I saw this was void and had Golden Tricorn, I immediately wanted this as a Void Titan main. If I can nab Golden Tricorn x2 and Weapons of Light, that lets me 2-tap any Resilience. And even outside of that, Golden Tricorn x1 lets you 3-tap any Resilience. My only gripe with this gun is that I can't run a Glaive with it.
I have a enhanced no distractions tears of contrition that can't get flinched and I flinch everything else with ep. It's def worth a look on this scout too
I feel like loose change is one of those perks that was hell to program just for people to discount it because other perks have easier requirements that tend to work better for the weapons they're on. With that being said I feel like bungie knew people would ignore it but they didn't want to release it too strong. I think something similar happened with the new precision perk especially considering the waves target lock has made. On top of the fact that bungie nerfed box breathing before even moving it to non 180 scouts because they knew it had serious potential. In time the new perks will get major buffs or reworks but considering this weapons craftable I can't complain about the left perk slot choices because there are multiple good options.
To be honest considering I don’t look for weapons for pve anymore these days I will take precision instrument, it just sounds really useful IF they have lower resil
first thing i thought of was golden tricorn + secant filaments. if my math is right empowering rift + x2 golden tricorn is a two tap, with devour and volatile rounds added it sounds niche but fun.
I immediately thought the same thing about it looking like fang im crafting it just for that and hoping fang does come back
I did want to mention that the enhanced version of precision instrument does state that it "significantly increases precision damage", however I have no idea what that will translate to in game.
I remember “the Fang”. Good scout rifle.
rapid hit/ golde tricorn on void lock with nezerecs sin is prob the one Im going for. The uptime of the 50% buff is really high on warlocks due to the nade regen
This thing might be my new main scout honestly
D1 weapon models looks good, this one reminds me of Badger CCL.
Enhanced Precision Instrument says significantly increases critical damage. I havent been able to test it with different resilience levels though
D2foundry shows Brya’s with precision instrument a 3 tap against all resil.
My first roll was rapid hit destabilizing and i love it for gyrfalcon's. I was using a rapid hit explosive vouchsafe, which i also love, but since this can also get that perk combo, i'll craft one of these and keep levelling it up so that i can just choose whichever perks i want at the time, or maybe craft one for my lock and one for my hunter. It feels slightly better to use than vouchsafe for me, less bouncy... you really notice the extra range and stability. the origin perk is meh, but it's not exactly a bad thing... just not really anything amazing. It's no nano tracer rockets. I don't care at all about PvP so for PvE i'm happy.
Here's mine: Corkscrew / Flared Mag / Enhanced Keep Away + Destabilising Rounds / Counterbalance...on a console, stability is key! Works for me!
I've only gotten a couple of these with perk combos that I thought were worth trying out -- Shoot to Loot / Precision Instrument and Keep Away / Explosive Payload.
I really like the idea behind Precision Instrument, and it was putting in some work for me against Champions in the Legend Lost Sector today, but I agree it doesn't really work for this weapon specifically (Great when stunning Champions and then letting the damage stack up). The other roll wasn't bad, but something about the feel was off with it. Not sure if it was the meh Handling or the meh Stability stat, but it just didn't work for me.
I do want to like the rifle, though. So I'm planning on trying out Rapid Hit / Destabilizing Rounds since I have Explosive or Frenzy scouts already.
When i saw the looks of it, got my attention instantly, i 100% going to craft this
I got one with rapid hit and precision instrument. It's a lot of fun to use so far for an az iced tea lookin ass gun
Im gonna try Adagio on this one. I haven't tried that on a 180 yet
This is my favorite craftable weapon possibly ever.
That sight is way too chunky for me
That’s what she said
Reminds me of D1 bad juju, I think I’m gonna like this one
COOL, YOU ARE SO GUY!
Precision Instrument is gonna shine on Aggressive LFRs like Fire and Forget.
CFO of Arbys 😂damn it. I come for your input, I stay for fellow guardians creatively.
As a pve hunter with gyrfalcon's hauberk, loose change is intriguing
Just stopping by to let you know Mechabre is coming back as the first sniper with Snapshot + Discord.
That'll be 80 AE with Discord + Extended + Icarus + Knucklehead. Gonna be grinding for one
I definitely think Keep Away is the pvp perk, but I’m not sure what I’d want to pair it with (I’m a duelist).
Ive been using a Rapid Hit/Destabilizing in Momentum Control, and I know its that mode, but it was a wrecking face. I have been loving it there so for, but I need to use it elsewhere before I can really judge it.
that was your ghost you crushed lmfao
Precision Instrument is basically what Cranial Spike used to be on DMT
For me, this Scout fills a specific role for Void builds that I have wanted for a long time. Shoot to Loot and Golden Tricon on a void 180 scout is everything I have been wanting, and for that I will craft it.
For PVP, yea I can see why people don't like it. Precision Instrument is honestly a fantastic perk, but I feel like it should increase damage by just a tad bit more. But even then I think I prefer my primaries on Kinetic rather than energy, there's so many good specials in the energy slot.
If Hung Jury comes back with Precision Instrument though, or Bungie loses their minds and makes 180 for Crucible soon with all the right perks in the kinetic slot I will probably grind hard for that.
I’m prolly gonna use it for my Gfalcon Hunter since I don’t have a Doom.
ep shoot to loot can be a blessing for high end pve players cause with epitath helm you dont have to run close for ammo anymore, just spam away with rockets
I'm liking my rapid hit + explosive payload
I got lucky with red borders and was able to craft one already, I find keep away and destabilizing rounds is good for PVE, for PvP keep away explosive payload is good
I havent brought it into crucible yet but i did use it in gambit a few times and laser beamed invaders w ease
Scouts are always a decent pve option especially playing a safer distance and this scout does have some nice perks … shoot loot plus explosive is one of my fav combos
Huh? Have you only been playing two season or something😂 I jest, but Scouts were basically dead a few seasons back.
So this sounds like if you use it on a void gyrfalcon’s Hunter build it would get a lot of benefits. Especially with destabilizing rounds
unrelated but i wish precision instrument turned up as a perk option for DMT, would’ve been nice to have a perk for pve that you can actually feel take effect
Such a nice feeling and looking scout, I just with it was ANY other element than Void. No other scout will ever beat Firefly+Frenzy roll on Doom of Chechis for me, but I would really like a scout like this for any other element for any slot.
To be fair, not everyone's raids so this is a good-ish substitute for those people
I went with the tried and true Rapid Hit and Explodive Payload. It is not exciting, but it is consistent.
i got rapid/dis rounds and i love it
I’ll probably try and get a decent one just because I’ll never raid lol, loose change sounds fun with gyrfalcons!
My biggest problem with it is that the dot on the sight is so damn huge.
I LOVE THIS SCOUT. Precision Instrument and No Distractions for me for PVE. Have to completely disagree with you on Frenzy over Precision Instrument. I was doing some really good damage with it on single targets, especially champions and bosses. It also works really well with the seasonal artifact Monochromatic Maestro. Im running it on void build too. I crafted it and was getting upwards of 5000 damage per shot on x6 Precision Instrument. With a buff, over 6300.
Does the interaction between frenzy and perfect float still work?
Vision of confluence with firefly and rewind rounds, practically a legendary exotic. It makes any other 180 feel sub par🤷
Brya's should have had box breathing honestly. It would be nice to see an energy 180 with box again. No feelings was the only one and it's sunset :(
Although looking at it I’m reminded of the Boolian Gemini. A great exotic I wish they would bring back.
Boolean was useless
If it was any other element I’d be all over it because it looks sounds and feels great, but doom of Chelchis is just one of my favorite weapons of all time
DoC is gonna be tough to overthrow since it has Explosive Rounds in the 3rd column and can pair with a damage perk. But PvP wise, I'm picking Brya's all day. Precision Instrument is res gated but there's also 0 activation. That's strong no matter what. But then again, If I'm gonna use a scout in PvP, I'm using Polaris or DMT 99% of the time.
The only real use case I see for this is using Shoot to loot + explosive for grabbing ammo during a dps phase.
I saw this scout and got excited hoping it was a 260 but then disappointed to see it was a 180
I'll be using my Bryers with Loose Change and DR the same way I used my Repuler Doom Devour Lock
hey CG i know this is off topic but i cant seem to find any video or answers anywhere on the web of how to get the "under your skin" bow in season 22 especially for a new light guardian.
So hard to want any new weapons these days unless they have something really special. This is just “another one” looks cool though.
The strongest thing about this weapon are the aesthetics. This thing is gorgeous. I don't even like 180 scouts all that much but I'm using it.
I know Chelchis is better than this with the double damage perks, but I have no energy to get back on that farm so I'm happy to see an alternative, and with the Vision of Confluence model to boot.
Shoot to Loot + Destab is gangbusters good
was hoping it came witg health clip as an option
