- I have been waiting on Aberrant action. It's a weapon that will stand the test of time and be glued to specific builds. That's a big part of this video. You HSOULD craft heal clip + incandescent, but there is so much more that i want to show you. There are rolls that make it the best option for builds that you need to consider. It's WILD.

In my arrogant opinion, the key to a legitimately good weapon has less to do with the stat package and more to do with the variety of the perk pool/buildcraft synergies it has. While we did lose the previous, good system of buildcrafting available before Lightfall, Bungie's made good strides with new perks (combos) that hard tie into 3.0 subclasses. This sidearm is a prime example of no specific "hard-line godroll" because it's good enough to have multiple options that all do amazing.
I got one with a range MW. Does range actually do anything? The range starts at 0 so going to 10 is technically a 1000% increase but I highly doubt that means much. Any idea?
@@ContentHouseFilms Range on any weapon with that stat has a floor and cap; +10 to Range doesn't mean a percentage increase, just a flat value increase (e.g. on hand cannons, I believe it's about 1~1.5 m increase for every +10 range). The accuracy that ties into the range stat isn't particularly clear as we don't really have fixed values to go by for that stat.

Pugilist/Incandescent can probably work well with Mataidoxia for Warlocks too. Suspend things with the Melee and kill them with the sidearm for double benefits to Melee regen, both from Pugilist and from the kill while things are suspended. I'm unsure how well they'll stack but I'm really curious to try since I really like that top piece
Just off the top of my head:
-The chest gives a flat 25% energy
-The sidearm gives 10% or 11% enhanced, but these values are subject to a 0.8* ability energy multiplier so they’ll give 8% and 8.8% respectively
That should mean 33%/33.8% melee energy, although the multiple charges may have an extra effect on energy gain that I’ve forgotten about (I know the natural regen is sped up with more charges, but I don’t know if other sources of energy gain are affected).
So yeah, should be pretty good, although having played around with the exotic a bit I’d still personally prefer to stick with wish keeper or monte carlo, but aberrant action will definitely put in work if there’s something you need your exotic slot open for (or you could just run both for even more energy gain).

Strategist and Incandescent on Hazardous Propulsion titan is a play, as strategist stacks your class ability, and the incandescent explosions build up exodus rockets quickly. When you trigger the rocket buff, it biffs Aberrant by 35% because its classed as a rocket. Matchmade in heaven.

I’ve crafted the pugilist incandescent roll to use with sun bracers and it feels absolutely absurd how I can instantly get my melee back and start an ability loop. Such a good weapon
"Sunbracers is fun right now!" Is such a funny sentence cause it implies it has changed the sunbracers setup to make it suddenly good like it isn't insane already

I can't wait to use your old Caliban hand explosion build now that this mod is back. I wanna see and experience the chain explosions in pvp.
I've been running Prismatic with Calibans/Synthoceps on threaded spike. Each kill the spike lands unravels to a tangle, ignites, detonates the tangle, and explodes for a third time because of the Facet of Justice, then releases unravel nanites. Then you can run this to apply scorch all around to proc more ignitions, and Heal Clip to make up for the healing loss of not running Combination blow or Strategist/Pugilist if you just want more ability uptime in case you are bad at catching the spike. Its like assigning a small, homing, apocalypse to your Right Bumper.

You’ll want Tac Mag, for some reason it buffs your reserve total.

I tried out beacon rounds / incandescent with max blast radius and it was awesome. A good/bad thing about it though is that beacon rounds go for precision damage, so even if you are aiming at a hydra's body the rockets will curve towards the eye and likely hit the shield... but that's really the only downside.
It seems that the more velocity you have the less impactful beacon rounds is...
After watching this I'm switching to strategist/incandescent though.
Pugilist Incandescent is a very rare roll too. Out of the craftable solar weapons, only 2 pulse rifles and the raid weapons had this roll until now
I use it with Field prep/incandescent. Gives 65 shots which beats indebted kindness by 21 shots which is a 48% ammo increase. Also gives 71 with reserve mods. It's a great addition to solar and prismatic builds.
PS - I recommend you soec into blast radius (volatile/High exp ordinance) + MW for the ability to use itblikena mini gl. You can get alot more oitbof your ammo economy when you hit more targets at once with the larger portion of damage
Field Prep is VERY slept on. I wanted to point it out, i was unsure of the shots but 70+ is WILD
Looking forward to crafting it also can't wait to see an exotic rocket side-arm in the near future.

Strat/Demo combined with Facet of Balance (gives melee energy on light damage) grants ALL ability energy. Add Spirit of Inmost and things get nutty.
I want to pair this with my Spirit of Inmost Light/Spirit of Verity cloak.

I revisited my bb build and added this sidearm to my build. I'm back to being addicted to my bb build again. Yeah, celestial/still hunt Prismatic exists, but I prefer fun over meta

Strategist is my shit, couple that with the prismatic fragment that gives melee energy for light subclass kills and devour and now you’re getting energy for every ability lol

Sadly, I haven't gotten the chance to craft this yet. But once I do, you better believe I'll be rocking that Strategist/Incandescent roll! I got me a Blast Furnace with Shoot to Loot and Firefly that would go GREAT with it. Especially with my Hazardous Propulsion and Grand Overture! The Call just got some serious competition!

I barely started playing yesterday and I already had all five French quarters from one Harmonizer, and 4 drops in the span of 4 ish hours. I start incandescent/heal clip roll, but excited for other rolls I'm gonna craft

Thank you! I did the harmonized last night and have been trying to play around with it. Heal Clip/Incandescent worked but it felt like I was running out of ammo. Going to try Field Prep and see how it runs!

While it wont get me off Buried Bloodline (Inmost Light and Devour prismatic spam too good) but its good to want to go back to Solar again.
Im so glad we finally got an easy to obtain energy slot rocket sidearm. Was about to lose hope about my Mataidoxia build ever being good in endgame content, cause I use the exotic strand bow with it and I would normally also have to use another primary for champ stun. Give us bow champ stun back, they are already weak enough ☹️
I've crafted mine and did heal clip/ demo for my unbreakable build, (yes im that guy). its a blast and use it as a primary.

People are trying to invalidate this weapon because of the Range stat. As if that has ever mattered for explosive weapons. They are WRONG, this archetype will continue to be an absolute GEM until Bungie inevitably nerfs them. I love having more options for more build synergies too. Jolt and Hatchling are strong but fall short of Incandescent and Cure for Solar builds.
Just play the activity the red borders will drop.. especially if you have multiple characters. Just do the seasonal stuff on all 3 and youll get a bunch. Then focus the rest
these special ammo rocket sidearms are going to eat a mega nerf some time soon and that's gone be really sad because they don't brake the game if any thing the highlight how bad the ammo economy is for all other special ammo weapons and if anything show they need a buff, it also further highlights how bad reserve and scavenger mods are and that either armor needs an extra slot or we should move those mods into the ghost
They definitely need a nerf. I do agree about the special ammo thing. The generalist specials just don't have enough ammo or do enough damage. Rocket sidearm should probably still catch a ammo pick up/reserves nerf

@GlowingParticles agree to disagree. I think they make every other add clear/utility special irrelevant in a game where specials already made primary irrelevant. Buffing other stuff would lead to wild power creep aswell.

Ember of resolve is redundant on sunbracers because you get permanent resto x2 uptime on sunbracers.

Ive been using my false idols with chain reaction and incandescent and the amount of just chaining explosions and ignitions is insane

I decided to go with field prep cause of the fact that there is a million ways to heal and stack DR currently (btw the red death catalyst is pretty damn good imo)

oooooh shit. pugilist + incandescent. i’ve been running a prismatic mataiodoxia build which is genuinely super good in mid-endgame pve, and i’ve WISHED the call could roll with pugilist to further elevate my build. this is gonna be nuts

pugilist/incandecent is my favorite combo too. i use ut on Abyss defiant and zoulis bane. with consecration titan

I feel like this could see some play on a stasis Hunter build because stasis doesn’t have many good special ammo weapons and the shurikens are quite nice so getting those back as well.
For real, in PVP it's basically just Riptide. I did try out Critical Anomaly earlier. Gotta say, with chill clip, it felt nice to stun all 3 champion types.

Been using the pugelist/incan roll with karnstiens and the snap melee. Infinite ignitions and healing. I have been running it with bastion and it is an insane loadout.

Its a fun Rocket Sidearm but it will not be replacing my Indebted Kindness. The Call and IK are still both better imo. The zero range kinda hurts AA meanwhile my Indebted Kindness can almost act like a sniper.

I have to imagine a nerf is coming to this frame, sooner rather than later. Probably to the ammo economy.

Even though it likely means next to nothing, the 0 range stat seems so weird to me. Gets me thinking about the range our other rocket sidearms do or don’t have
its most likely a visual bug, as i think there was guns in the past with said bug before.

Yea I did a similar thing to you except, I brute forced my red borders by cashing in 99 engrams as soon as I unlocked the weapon, got two from running the battle ground, and 3 from my engrams oh and 4 of the pulse. I am surprised people are using their harmonisers
Fr man harmonizers on a weapon you can currently obtain that isn't a raid weapon feels so crazy to me.
Most players don't raid statistically speaking. That cuts the pool of weapons to use harmonizes on by a large margin.

If they want to nerf rocket sidearms they should consider why they are popular first. A comprehensive special weapon balancing should come before a straight up nerf.

I'm torn. Strategist/Incandescent enables my HP build. However, the Prismatic version lacks effective healing unless you're using Knockout + Consecration. I might have to go Heal Clip/Incandescent.

did not use sunbracer’s right at all lol. the grenade already gets you your melee right if you just float. heal clip works much better
You need to use heat rises for that and if you don't have enemies around by the time it goes away, you have to wait a full melee charge cooldown.

Also that's not even true. You can get long distance kills to keep up heat rises.
You can reliably keep up heat rises even in GMs.
Heat rises is a no brainer when using Sunbracers. Without it, you're making your build weaker for no reason.

We love rocket assisted sidearms. It has many combos that are fun to use. For me personally healclip incandescent works very well. Tons of fun 😊
