Corrections/Updates to video: 1) The wider 38mm stanchions on the Remedy 9.8 don't necessarily affect the damping of the fork, but rather they increase fork stiffness for better control of the bike in rougher terrain. 2) The 2021 Remedy 9.8 uses a 108T hub rather than the 2020 model's 54T hub, which just allows the bike to engage much quicker when you are pedaling.
@@TalalipopMTB final question. I am.looking for a bike that "does it all". I like the remedy. But i saw some of your videos of the fuel ex. Whats the difference between those 2?
Remedy is more playful, has smaller diameter wheels so it’s more nimble, and has more travel so it’s meant for rougher terrain. I’ll make a video on their differences eventually :)
i live in aus and on the american site the remedy 8 has a really sick orange to red gradient paint job, does anyone know if that will be coming to the australian site
Nice video🤝 will the remedy 7 fit me if i wanna go for bikeparks, trails, enduro but also the local skater and hitting the streets? Or can anyone help me out with another bike?🙏✌
Thanks! Generally 27.5" wheel bikes are more playful since they are usually easier to jump and hop around on, and those wider tires allow you to go over rougher terrain, so in that sense it's more "playful" than a fuel ex or top fuel bike.
Hye there greetings from India. I'm planning to buy my first full suspension bike. Trek remedy 7. But I was wondering do the Bontrager comp 30 support 27.5*2.4 wide Tyres .
Hey Talalipop Do you have a recommendation for a bike that is a full suspension mountain bike with hydraulic disc brakes. Please reply with your response. Thank you.
Also, if you are a beginner, get a hardtail. I don’t care what the terrain is around you. Get a hardtail if you are new. It will teach you the right technique, and like what the person above me said, it’s better for a tight budget.
If I could have one bike it would have to be a remedy because I’ve tested one before and it was amazing when I tested it and I love the rear shock because I don’t have a full sus yet
I just recently ordered a Remedy 8 and the dealer told me that there was no XT version available. I think that may be a UK option only. I would have ordered the XT one if I could have.
Oh yeah that makes sense hahaha. If it ever does maybe you could just switch it out for the new one, but honestly since the 2020 XT wasn’t available in the US I don’t think we’ll see the 2021 here either.
@Devon Tyler exactly! Why is it that a company based in the USA doesn't actually have any bikes to sell in the USA? UK has all the bikes and more options. Doesn't make sense to me, unless there is a way bigger demand for all the high end Trek bikes across the pond then there is here. Maybe they're going where the money is idk...
That’s a tough one. Fuel ex is more of an all mountain trail bike that should be better at climbing uphill and just be good at a lot of things while the remedy is more focused on being a playful fun bike and it’s also able to go over rougher terrain because of the tires it has. The fuel ex will generally be faster while the remedy will generally be more nimble and maneuverable.
Hey Man! Really enjoying your expertise on these reviews. I wanted to check if you would be interested in some recommendations for your channel to become even more profitable. If you're interested let me know and we can connect.

Damping*
Haha exactly what I was going to say, damping controls your stroke, dampening gets you wet
Congrats on 5k subs. Keep climbing the CZcams ladder
Thank you!!!
Just got the 8 with the help of this video. Thanks !
Nice!! Glad it helped :)
Great work Sir. I appreciate your time and efforts.
Thanks!!
I’ve owned many mountain bikes and the Trek Remedy 9,8 is one of the best performing and most dependable ones I’ve owned.
Congrats on 5k keep it up 🍭🍭
Thanks!!!
Great Job with the video! I can’t wait to get my remedy “soon” 😂😋
Hahaha thank you!
Great video dude! I was becoming crazy trying to understand the differences between models and years...
Thank you!!

Great video, really makes it clear for us mortals to understand. Please do procaliber
Thank you! And yes I’ll consider that one.
love your videos
Aw thank you!!
nice Video, I think its important to mention the hub engagement that its been double from 54 to 108 in new model
Oh right! I had that in the table at the end but forgot to mention it in the video; I'll add an update comment now!
Nice vid bro
Thank you :)
🗣LETTTSSS GOOOO
Love the videos , any chance doing the remdy 8 xt with 2021 to 2022 ? Thanks

Yes
Bought remedy 8 gx would of thought the carbon model would be significantly less in weight turns out its not all that much
Nice video🤝 will the remedy 7 fit me if i wanna go for bikeparks, trails, enduro but also the local skater and hitting the streets? Or can anyone help me out with another bike?🙏✌
Thanks Talal
HAHAHA WHATS UPPP TALALIPOP GANG
Talalipop MTB no, no...
What’s up old people! Talalipop in the house!
Team Garske The most hated bike youtuber on the planet
Can you do a comparison between the remedy and the fuel ex when the official/final specs are released?
Yeah sure!
These look nice..but I'd still prefer that fuel ex5 orange or marigold was it? Thanks for the info bro.
No problem! And yeah marigold haha :)
Another great informative video.
What makes the Remedy a “playful” bike? So many bikes and catagorys lol

Hi im 176cm what best size remedy for me ? M or M/L
Hye there greetings from India.
I'm planning to buy my first full suspension bike. Trek remedy 7.
But I was wondering do the Bontrager comp 30 support 27.5*2.4 wide Tyres .
I have 2.5 on my rear. Im pretty sure 2.4 will be fine.
Hey Talalipop Do you have a recommendation for a bike that is a full suspension mountain bike with hydraulic disc brakes. Please reply with your response. Thank you.
Julian Kirn thank you. I do not know the price of the bikes but I have a really tight budget
What's your budget?
Good full suspension bikes for tight budgets:
1. Marin Hawk Hill
2. Marin Rift Zone
3. Giant Stance
4. Caliber Bossnut
5. Polygon Siskui
Also, if you are a beginner, get a hardtail. I don’t care what the terrain is around you. Get a hardtail if you are new. It will teach you the right technique, and like what the person above me said, it’s better for a tight budget.
Thank you all so much for helping me
Why there is no 9.9 next year?
Thx
What happened to the 9.7?
If I could have one bike it would have to be a remedy because I’ve tested one before and it was amazing when I tested it and I love the rear shock because I don’t have a full sus yet
It’s a sick bike for sure :)
Can you do de exceed and lux 2020 2021 love your videos. Saludos desde España 🇪🇸
Voodoo Canzo next?

Yeah it might be. Hopefully they can bring it over eventually but right now it’s only in the UK.
@@TalalipopMTB I kind of how it doesn't. I'll be sad if after I get my bike the XT version becomes available lol

is there remedy 7 in the us? havent seen it
There's going to be a huge shortage of bikes this year. If you dont see one in a store I wouldn't be surprised.1
Brakes on the XT version?
I'm currently not sure about those since they aren't listed on the website, though they do appear different than the ones on the 2020 bike.
Just so you know, your forks diameter does not affect how the damping works. It affects the stiffness of the fork
Oh that’s correct; I misspoke there. I’ll add an update to correct that now!
Talalipop MTB hey man, that’s fine. Also congratulations on 5K! 🍾
Fuel EX 5 or Remedy 7? Only € 400 difference.
That’s a tough one. Fuel ex is more of an all mountain trail bike that should be better at climbing uphill and just be good at a lot of things while the remedy is more focused on being a playful fun bike and it’s also able to go over rougher terrain because of the tires it has. @@TalalipopMTB Thanks ! Not easy to choose. I think I will go for Remedy.
