You forgot about the bugs in the infotainment. I love my CT for all the same reasons you mentioned in your previous video, but oh man the bugs are annoying. My driver’s display never shuts completely off, meaning the car consumes more energy when parked. The driver’s display map randomly disappears, the charging at Ionity keeps interrupting randomly, so I can’t leave my car while charging (last one might be an ionity problem though), and the alarm keeps going off unless you turn off internal monitoring. So yeah, bugs that will hopefully be fixed shortly.
Oh and while nice, the piano passenger dash is just begging my daughter to scratch it :) I almost wished that I had specced the passenger display, so there would be less piano to protect hehe.

Kris, for the InnoDrive toggle you press the button at end of stalk to pop up the Driving option menu in the left Tube in the 16.8” console. From there you can switch assisted driving options using the wheel on your right thumb on the steering wheel. It’s definitely not as easy as a toggle like you say the Audi has, but it is all doable from that stalk with hands on the wheel. I personally find it logical to push forward to make car go faster forward and pull back to slow down, i.e. pull back on the throttle.
As for the vents being controlled by the touch-screen, the one advantage is that the vent positions are stored with your memory seat settings as I believe.
As for temp dials and volume and fan speeds You do not need to hard press the arrows on the touchscreen you can drag your finger up and down from the center of the circle to change by several values.
I am not saying the car is perfect, but I’ve driven it 38,000 km and still enjoy it every day.
P.S. completely agree on the lid for the center storage area. As for wireless charging being there, maybe good isolation for people with pacemakers?

Some of these are things I agree with, but some I would say you either use it wrong, or haven't had the car long enough to get the long term feel for.
    1. The HVAC screen. As much as physical buttons are nice, they are also very permanent. And you can't get something else in that space instead. The screen can do more than the buttons can, and since most of these buttons are rarely used I think it works great. I see people commenting on the HVAC bit a whole lot, but I'm fairly sure they are using the HVAC wrong if they need to be constantly adjusting the temperature for instance. I see people jacking the temperature to max "to get the car warm as fast as possible" for then to set the temperature they actually want. Which is pointless. The car will already get you the required temperature as fas as it can, so you won't have to touch that setting at all. Just set it to the desired temperature, and leave it there. From time to time you may want to adjust it a degree or some, but that should not be several times per drive. The same goes for the vents, which I actually find works far better than manual moving vents. The two presets are awesome. You either want air directly on you, or you want the car to heat or cool, without feeling the air. At least I find those two options to be perfect. If I'm very cold in the winter time, I want air on me, to get nice and warm fast, but after some minutes of driving I don't want air on me any more. And instead of having to adjust 3 sets of vents, I push two screen buttons. And the big "touchpad" is very useful for situations where you have to type things. For instance when you need to navigate, but the adresse is too complicated to do by voice. You can write on the pad, which is very convenient while you drive. What I would prefer though would be to be able to have more direct buttons and a "hidden" touch pad you could "pull up" when you needed it.
    2. The InnoDrive stock isn't as bad as you think it is. But it's a bit confusing when you are used to the "left/right" to increase or decrease speed function, but to be fair, push and pull makes a bit more sense. Going faster, push the stock (more forward please) and less speed, pull it towards you (brake please). A quick fuction to turn off or on auto lane assist would be preferable, while you can turn it of, by pushing the button, and deselect it in the menu that pops up on the drive cluster screen. It's a little fiddle, and I would prefer a faster way.
    3. The storage room underneath the armrest, well that's absolute a dumb solution.
    4. As far as the wireless charger though, I don't think it's a bad solution. It is a sports car, able to go around the Nürburgring in under 8 minutes. You can't have a smartphone just sitting on top of a charge plate. It's nice and secure and will not move in that charger. So that's actually a good solution in a car like this. It's inconvenient to get the phone in and out, but once it's there it's perfectly fine. And the same goes for the storage. It's there for the stuff you absolutely don't want flying around in the green house.
    5. Storage wise, I agree to some degree. I think it's more than enough for a sports car, but for a family car it could preferably have more.
    6. Porsche options, yes, that's extreme. But that's Porsche. And some people get furious if they cannot get the car without stuff they don't want to pay for. So it's a double edged sword. I've got options close to half a million on mine. But I wouldn't be without any of them.
    7. I've got my Taycan in a far less "invistible" spec, and the level of attention is insane. I've driven behind e-tron GTs in mine and my Taycan got all the attention. It's mostly down to the spec. A bright red sports car with big black 21" rims will get more attention than something that looks far more common. And all the e-tron GTs I've seen on the road sort of looks like any other low Audi. But that's personal preferences, and I just don't like that bonnet of the Audi. It's way too flat and long. The 911 front of the Taycan has that sports car look that I prefer. But one cannot argue taste. That's pointless. The main reason the Taycan outnumbers the e-tron GT on the road is the chip shortage, and Audi just cannot make delivery numbers that they wish they could have been able to. If they had been launched at the same time, there would be more Audis. Because it is slightly cheaper, and therefor the more "sensible" choice if you're not buying something heavily spec'ed.

The problem with a car or a house for that matter is that it could have been done better. It will always be like this. I am very happy with my house and my car but there things that could have been done better. Take as an example a black car, no particular brand. They look great on displaying in the shop or if they have just been polished and cleaned. Drive them one kilometer on the road and they look dirty. As for the additional costs for anything extra. German cars have always been like that. The basic model is reasonable priced but the makers knows that hardly anyone buys a basic car. Everybody wants something extra even though it add up to 20% of the total price of the car. The makers and the dealers knows that people buy cars with their hearts and not so much their heads. Your financial situation will of course play a role but as a customer you will be willing to pay a little extra just to get a car that you are more happy with. When you visit a car dealer they always want you to test drive a car.
They know that 9 out of 10 will not buy the car but number 10 will . In other words if you as a dealer have 10 test drives in one day you will probably have sold one car.

While the overall car is amazing... it's actually pretty incredible how the company managed to make some of these terrible design choices in the interior. Most of which stem from them using that terrible angled HVAC screen that takes up an enormous amount of space.
First off, there's no reason that armrest couldn't be designed to flip all the way up. Why they didn't set it up that way is mind boggling. If you ask me, Porsche should build a redesigned armrest and offer it to their existing customers either for free or at least at cost. Either that, or they should build an addon that can be connected to the joint that allows it to stick in place that dealerships will install for free. There's no excuse for terrible and senseless usability design flaws like that at this price point. Why screw up an otherwise amazing car with super annoying things like this? I don't get it. It's not a fun "quirk and feature". It's annoying.
As to the HVAC screen, just why? Unlike a mid-tier car, there's no reason they need to use a screen to lower cost and complexity. It not only doesn't work great, but it takes up a HUGE amount of real estate where a vertical panel button cluster could have been used instead. Had they done something closer to vertical, it would have allowed the cup holders to be moved forward, potentially even dropping them down a good 3-6 inches. I also don't understand how such a wide car can't have the cup holders next to one another, or at least move the front cup holder to the right and put the inductive charger on the left, either flat or as a slot. Either way, that would have allowed for a longer full arm rest that both the driver and passenger could use, as well as much more storage underneath.
Those vents. Companies. Stop doing this. No one wants to use a screen to adjust their vents. If you want a cool tech feature, how about this. You push a button on the vent, hold up a finger where you want it to blow, and a camera directs the fan to that point. There you go. That's tech. It makes the process easier. Using screens to direct air flow is terrible design. We get it... Tesla saved money by not using moving vents and instead using servos in their ducts. They also made their vent one big straight line across their entire car, and they don't allow manual adjustment of both vents independently. It's still worse than manual vents. Tesla doesn't have the supply infrastructure to build complicated things like "manual vents". /s So yeah, let Tesla do its thing. It's not a feature that anyone EVER points out as being superior to other cars. Literally no one.

BTW Porsche, your car is sexy and makes me want to splurge a good chunk of my savings on one. But it's usability crap like this that really just turns me off to ever splurging on such a huge purchase like this. Get it right. It'll cost a bit more, but you'll make up for it with people willing to buy your car instead of a competitor's car due to stupid issues like these.

Kris - check out Alex Voigt's article on the Taycan - headline is "Porsche Whistleblower: “60% of all delivered Taycan have battery issues that caused replacements, damages and fires” an interesting read - I have not put the link up but if you simply google his name and Taycan it usually comes up. Basically from what he says looks like you simply should of kept the Audi :)

Fake story. Also the Audi is the exact same car except looks and interior...

The use of the word dumb is outrageously overused and very annoying. A lot of the features around the armrest are designed for safety, as in they don’t want you distracted from driving.

Whether or not the word dumb is overused or annoying does not take away from my point, and is a straw-man at best. Futhermore, that is the dumbest apology for a poorly designed armrest cover I've ever heard 🙈😂

@@nickg1932 Dude, you're the one straw-maning me - so not sure how to take anything after that as constructive criticism. And the armrest is simply DUMB - D - U - M - B. What storage cover does not stay up by it self? What storage cover that needs to arm to operate is considered good design? Please let me know. There is no excuse for that poor design. The way it is designed will most defiantly take away from driving, and is potentially a hazard. Not sure why you insist on defending poor design? I have no problem taking constructive criticism, but your comment is not that.
