    great video, one slight error is for the comfort entry on the frunk you dont have to actually touch it and it is the top portion of the bumper you wave you hand over. Always use your right hand to close, because your wedding band will scratch the paint. Lastly the fob has to be in your pocket. :)

    My favorite ist the smart lift because of our farmers roads we have to take very often. So underground is safe! 😜

    another great video mate......on the battery heating i would imagine it uses quite a bit of energy for the battery to heat i.....so will the route planner automatically adjust this so you wont run out of range before you get to the charging station ??

    • @TABonTV
      @TABonTV  Před 5 měsíci +1

      The PCM PCS is seriously impressive in its management of the battery, warming the battery isn't too much stress on % but have faith it will get you there.

    • @ronb4633
      @ronb4633 Před 5 měsíci +1

      Yes, the PCM takes this into account. But you are correct that heating the battery to 100°F does take a lot of energy. You can see this in your efficiency numbers as it starts preheating the battery and your driving efficiency drops. But it is worth it as long as the chargers are putting out over 150 kW. Note that this preheating will only occur if the charger that your routed to is a high power charger it will generally not preheat if you are routing only to a 50 kW unit.

      You need to activate this option in the PCM (AFAIR "light&visibility")

    Useful tips. I am Still waiting for used car prices to drop more so I can get a Taycan. £60k still too high and expecting 2020 car to be £40k by June 2024. I do want the bigger battery as if the smaller 79 kwh battery does drop 20% capacity within 8 years then you lose 40 miles of range (30% would be 60 miles ) but the bigger battery would still do 200 miles if it lost 20% capacity.
    Rapid charging will cause faster capacity loss so if you want to keep more capacity do not charge above 11kw AC.

    • @charlesbcraig
      @charlesbcraig Před 5 měsíci +1

      Seems crazy but I think you're right about them dropping that far. Besides the facelift, the Macan EV get announced in a few days which will also drop pricing

    • @RB-lt8kt
      @RB-lt8kt Před 5 měsíci

      I will buy a Taycan but not yet. In the UK Porsche dealers are struggling to sell them and now discounting cars by £12k on pre registered cars with 10 miles on the clock. @@charlesbcraig

    To open the front bonet, it’s swipe on the bumper below the crest. Not the bonet itself. The sensors are behind the bumper.

    • @ronb4633
      @ronb4633 Před 5 měsíci

      That is correct, you need only waive your hand a half inch above the vehicle. This is very handy as I never have to take the key out of my pocket and often have it zipped in a secured pocket. Opening the rear boot requires only a kick under the back, and you do not need to touch the button, which may be dirty from bad weather. Also, closing the boot requires only a kick under the rear bumper, which is very handy when you have your hands full carrying items.

    Curious why your boot doesn't have a lock car button and only a close boot? Yours look like a fully specced car. Maybe it's a regional thing?

    News just in… Porsche has beaten its last Nurburgring lap time of the Taycan by 26 seconds and taken its crown back from the Tesla Plaid, beating it by a still very sizable 17 seconds. It is within 2 seconds of the multi million dollar 4-motor all carbon Rimac Nevera with a 7:07 run (Nevera at 7:05).
    Porsche credits technology improvements in several areas that the Macan EV and this car share. This is Porsche's first tri-motor Taycan.
    They will release the video in March when the car will be available.
