- Here is my bear baiting mixture using cherry Kool-Aid and popcorn. Why use dog food, breads, and things that are both heavy and expensive when popcorn is so much easier to work with and more affordable? Try making this with different flavors and mix things up. For more tips on mixing Kool-Aid and popcorn see my Bear Baiting Tip #4 video titled "Kool-Aid Sprayer".

Palmer here, thanks for the info
Candied popcorn. Bears eat pretty well.
Thanks for making this video. Will this get moldy if it sits in a bait barrels untouched for sometime?
if you capped the bucket and made it airtight, would it stay like, "fresh"?
I'm reviewing my video's and images from my game camera's. I'll upload a video when I get some time to put something together. Baits are going out this week.
Wish i had seen this video last night!
I made chocolate chip peanut butter pancakes with $1 store chips and syrup, cost me bout $16 for like 50lbs of breakfast for my goodie tree lol..
theres an old apple orchard that also has plums and pears just a mile from my bait so i just pull up shake the branches& fill the bed of my pickup every year, i save a lot of table scraps from half eaten burgers to macaroni..
just got my bear this morning but the popcorn would have been a much easier haul LOL!
Taylor Nagrone: Here in Michigan, the use of anything chocolate is illegal since it’s as toxic for bear as it is for dogs.
would it be possible to make a video of this stuff in action? thank you
+alaskanoutdoorsman how long will that stay good for once popped?
+Trevor Mackenzie In the past I've keep popcorn around for no more than two weeks (stored in plastic bags) and refreshed it with the Kool-Aid sprayer and/or molasses when baiting. I've yet to keep it stored longer.. usually I go through it rather quickly.
Thanks
