I have both the led and incandescent versions. Interestingly enough once the batteries died in the incandescent, I could put them in my led version and still get another hour out of them.
I am torn between the double AA or this double AAA maglite. My old double C maglite is still going strong after 25 years I upgraded the bulb to LED and will probably do the same with my old solitaire. The newer double AA has 4 different modes and tbh I think I prefer just on or off lol.
Get the latest 2AA Pro+ with 351 lumens, rather "wow" fo such an old design. Updating the 2AAA you won't get more than 170 lumens and there is a huge difference.
Have the same light, don't run anything in my lights except eneloop or Energizer litthium....the batteries that come with them leak and ruin your torch....get rid of them and use what i use.....you will not regret it....
Recently gone back to my Maglites, they're awesome.
